OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
The distinctive yellow front door opens to a private oasis framed by manicured lawns and lush hedges. At the center, a shimmering pool with inset spa invites you to lounge in the sunshine, nap on the outdoor daybed, or gather around the fire feature for starlit evenings. Multiple patios, a gas grill, and alfresco dining for ten make it effortless to enjoy the desert lifestyle. Towering palms and the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains complete the picture.

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Inside, bold pops of orange and blue bring 70s glam to life. The living room is anchored by marble floors, a sleek fireplace, and walls of glass that blur the lines between indoors and out. On the wall, you’ll find Shag’s nod to the Kaufmann House, The Incognitos, alongside iconic Slim Aarons photography—including portraits of Palm Springs’ own Helen Dzo Dzo, muse of Poolside Gossip and later wife of architect Hugh Kaptur.

The kitchen is bright and modern with stainless steel appliances, a cheerful breakfast bar, and everything you need to prepare meals. The adjacent dining area seats eight and flows seamlessly into the living room and patio, perfect for entertaining.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
The primary suite is a private retreat with a king bed, TV, ensuite bath, and direct access to the patio for late-night stargazing. Two additional king bedrooms—one convertible to twins—share a sleek hall bath with a walk-in rainhead shower. Each bedroom is thoughtfully styled to balance comfort with vibrant retro flair.

THE HISTORY
Poolside Gossip sits within Desert Dorado, a residential development designed in the early 1970s by Hugh Kaptur, one of Palm Springs’ most prolific architects. Known for innovative desert modernism, Kaptur created a series of cul-de-sac homes that embraced indoor-outdoor living with clean lines, open layouts, and bold use of glass and space. Today, this home continues that legacy, blending architectural heritage with a playful, modern-day resort vibe.

We stayed at poolside swanky gossip in Palm Springs. It was beyond 10/10. Beautifully appointed, pristine and clean, perfect location… And the welcoming email with instructions was clear, concise, and thorough. Was easy to reach them throughout the stay via text. This place was magnificent and I simply cannot recommend it highly enough. Worth every penny… Was just wonderful

Thank you so much for sharing your amazing getaway home with us! You guys did an amazing job on the house - the 70s retro style was so fun. We especially loved the back yard. The mountain views were stunning and the pool, firepit and barbecue area with the big dining table made it perfect for a big family dinner and fun. We had such a great stay and really appreciated all the care and thought you put into the home.

Loved staying here. Everything was clean and pristine, and looked even better than the photos. ACME was also incredibly responsive when we needed anything. Most importantly, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. We reached out to find out which brands they were, and ACME provided them. I had ordered the mattresses for my house by the time we had checked out.

Lovely PS home to have experienced for 16 nights could of easily stayed another 16 ! Peaceful and safe Only noise was the planes in the morning but nothing major and the local beautiful mocking birds in the palm trees waking you up with their songs Outside space is perfect pool o/s bbq and fire pit all at the back with the amazing view of the mountains Which is lovely to watch the sun going down ! TVs bit confusing but saying that we didn’t really invest a lot of time with the tv. Lovely comfortable beds Only thing I missed was a bath tub and perhaps extra wc We would definitely return ????????????????

Great getaway from the city

Unobstructed mountain view, great for sunsets. Real-grass play yard for outdoor games, weather permitting. Quiet cul-de-sac. Interesting wall art with items from a famous Palm Springs artist and a noted local photographer. We enjoyed 1960’s Palm Springs still having all of our tech gear, yay! Great stay.

• 6+ Months Before Arrival: 100% refund.
• 91 Days–6 Months Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.
