OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
The expansive yard is walled and gated for privacy with absolutely gorgeous mountain views. The sparkling pool and spa are at the center of the yard - surrounded by lounge chairs and shade umbrellas. The hedges, olive and palm trees add an element of seclusion. An outdoor covered dining pavilion, built in BBQ grill and intimate firepit lounge round out this very special property - it’s a great place for living the good life!

** The pool will be heated to 83 degrees upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. Spa heating is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
This chic vacation home has a great vibe - where the focus is on easy, livable comfort. The open concept floor plan provides plenty of space for your entire group to spend time together, or step away for some alone time. Sliding glass doors let the light pour in and reveal the sun-drenched pool yard. Everything has been updated for the way we live today with upgraded heating and cooling systems, 4 flatscreen TVs, and UPGRADED high speed internet with speeds starting at 400 megabytes - perfect for remote working and learning! There's also a gas fireplace and comfortable sleeping quarters.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Each of the bedrooms feature a hotel-quality mattress, flatscreen TV and ample storage. The spacious Master Suite has a King bed, en suite bath and private doors to the yard. The second and third Guest Rooms have King and Queen beds respectively - and share easy access to the hall full bathroom.

THE LOCATION
Located at the end of a quiet cul de sac in the Los Compadres neighborhood - extremely close to the South Palm Springs Business District with its many restaurants, supper clubs, coffee houses, shops and galleries. You'll be just a few minutes to the casino, hiking trails and bustling downtown. Grocery stores and other neighborhood conveniences are also very close by. This is the ideal location for those who want to be close to everything but just a little bit removed for peace and quiet.

  • 100% Refund for Cancellations within 48 Hours of Making Booking. 
  • 30 days or more prior to the Arrival date, ACME House Company will process a 100% refund of all Reservation Charges, except the Booking Fee. 
  • Greater than 48 hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 days prior to arrival, guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges, except Booking Fee.
  • 7 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of All Reservation Charges are considered earned.

We really enjoyed our family stay. The outdoor area provided all the amenities we were looking for and the house was impeccably clean. The latter point cannot be overemphasized. Typically with a vacation rental we need to rewash the dishes and make do with a random collection of dishes and kitchenware. This place was fully stocked, even for the preparation of a Thanksgiving meal, with new kitchen items. Towels, linens etc all top notch. We'd stay with ACME again if this is their standard.

Beautiful gem in heart of Palm Springs!

On our second visit to Palm Springs we elected to stay there instead of La Quinta and we weren't disappointed! The neighborhood was easy to get to and was very quiet. The house itself was well appointed and comfortable with lovely beds and relaxing common areas. Although we had trouble with the front door code, the garage access was the best and we used that to keep our car in as well as to go in and out. The best part of the house was the reason we chose it in the first place- the backyard!!!! Every morning we would sit in one of the many places outside and watch the hummingbirds come and go while we drank our coffee. In the evening we would do the same or would sit in the hot tub which would warm up very quickly. The hot tub was especially welcome after doing the 12 mile San Jacinto Peak hike. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely come back to this house next time.

Private Oasis

Coming out of a long grey, rainy winter in Oregon, we needed some sun therapy. The Modern Loma Vista property was the perfect escape. The backyard is very private and the flora and abundant fauna (hummingbirds galore, lizards, butterflies, dragonflies, and even bunnies) entertained and delighted us while we soaked in the hot and played/lounged in the pool. ACME did a great job of messaging instructions and the stay went well. No complaints and we would absolutely rent this property again. The location was close to everything and the house felt like it could be home.

Best rental we have stayed in. Though the vrbo guest rules are strict in Palm Springs, we had a great time in this house. The outside entertaining area is BEAUTIFUL; pool, spa, colorful desert landscaping, fire pit area, a great grill and dining area. The house is stylishly decorated and the kitchen is so well equipped we could have cooked anything. Many rentals have just okay dishes, glassware, etc. Not here. Dining options for inside and outside (breakable/unbreakable). Cannot wait to return next year for an even longer stay!

Overall Comment We have been coming to the Palm Springs for more than 30 years and have never had a nicer, more enjoyable stay than this past visit due primarily to this wonderful home. We certainly did not want to leave and are already trying our best to stay again here. The interior has everything we would desire - especially during these restrictive, lockdown times when we spent more time just in the home and on the property. The back and side yards are wonderful and exhibit the best planning and landscaping we have seen in a rental property. After driving for 8hrs it was a relief to show up to a heated pool that our 6 year old twin boys just absolutely loved. Due to the pandemic, our community pool was closed for the whole summer. The first place I've stayed that actually looked even better in person. No tricky lighting or angles to make it look nicer, it is just that gorgeous. There was anything and everything you needed to just stay in if you chose to. There were games and books to entertain yourself. Beds were soo comfy and there were TVs in every room. The home was spotless and has everything you could need. Love this place and hope to come back again. Great for families and also for people with dogs. Fully fenced yard and very private.

Excellent place to stay

We stayed a week at Modern Loma Vista for my son’s birthday. The place was super clean. The house had everything that we could want for a family gathering. There are no power lines to hinder the view of the mountains. It was super quiet. The beds were very comfortable. The pool and spa were excellent. Thank goodness, the home already had pool floats and “noodles” because we didn’t have room in our car to bring those. We have small dogs so we were thrilled that it was super pet friendly. There were even dog bowls available and a great scooper. The neighborhood is very pretty and our dogs (and us) enjoyed being on long walks around the area. The cookware, dishes and glassware was great. The kitchen was well stocked with multiple choices available for brewing coffee (a French Press, Keurig or traditional drip) !! The High-Speed Internet was great when people wanted to play network games while all the TV’s were also being used. A variety of stores are very close to the house for those last minute “forgotten” items from clothes to groceries, prescriptions, etc. Definitely will come back to Modern Loma Vista. Pandemic Family Vacation

Overall Comment The property is beautiful and above expectation. House is fully stocked and super comfortable. We do have couple minor complains. 1. Wine glasses in the cupboard were not clean. 2. Pool service guy showed up in the backyard while we were swimming and did not wear a mask on face.

Overall Comment My family of four stayed here for a week and had a blast. The house was beautiful, clean and had everything we could have wanted. The yard was huge and private. We've stayed in several homes in Palm Springs and this was the first that didn't have overhead power cables in the back yard! I would stay here again and would definitely recommend it but I'd advise anyone to really understand how the pool heating works. I admit I never really understood it and we had several days when the pool was a little chilly. Quiet neighbourhood very close to the airport which was handy. The management company was very helpful and friendly.

WOW Modern Loma Vista is amazing !

WOW, Modern Loma Vista is amazing for many reasons ! From the moment we walked in the door, we knew this would feel like a great place to call home while on vacation. The house was so clean and the rooms were so large and accommodating. We and our guests loved the split bedrooms and subsequent privacy. The house is decorated in a way that is sophisticated yet feels warm and comfortable. Then, we walked out the sliders and saw the view! We were surrounded by the mountains with 360 degree views throughout the property and quickly spotted Bob Hope's old house up in the mountains. Spending the day outdoors was exceptional because of the sun drenched backyard. The evenings were very enjoyable watching the tram go up and down San Jacinto Mountain while staying warm around the fire feature, absolutely gorgeous! During our stay, we hosted a dinner party. This home had everything, including a decked out kitchen, with great cutlery, bar equipment and a super fast cooking outdoor BBQ grill. Of all things, it even had a spring form pan! And get this, the owners were contacted by ACME, for a special request: we wanted a Christmas Tree for our dinner party. It was set up and decorated before we arrived. Thank you ACME for helping us find a vacation house like Modern Loma Vista. Warm memories with friends were created during this week.
