Escape to your own backyard! This corner lot property boasts a secluded backyard area thanks to its tall well-manicured hedges. From here, float in the saltwater pool or soak in the spillover spa while you gaze meaningfully at the jaw-dropping mountain view. Relax poolside under the sunshine-yellow retro fringed umbrellas—they go perfectly with a sunset-hued cocktail or just a good vacation read. Or, enjoy the side lawn, perfect for playing yard games or letting the dogs run free. In the evening, gather around the fire pit with marshmallows or a glass of rosé.

Enter into an elegant skylit foyer that leads directly into the open living, dining, and kitchen area. You can’t get more Palm Springs than this space’s cool, bright tile and mod white brick fireplace complemented by its wooden beamed ceiling that hints at the natural wonders just beyond the front door. Twin velvet mid-century modern couches create a conversation pit-like experience in the living area, which also includes a large flat-screen TV. Guests can also enjoy an available full cable TV subscription, sonos sound system, along with a record player with curated records just for you!

The open kitchen is outfitted with high-end touches including a full suite of stainless steel appliances. Just off of this space, you’ll find a pantry area/coffee bar with both Keurig and drip coffee makers as well as a wine fridge.

The dining area is the heart of this property and promises many a great meal and conversation around the very mid-century oval dining set with seating for 6. Everything tastes better when dining under a Sputnik chandelier.

This property features 3 bright and beautifully appointed bedrooms all with hotel-quality mattresses. In the primary suite, find a king-size bed and modern en suite bathroom with walk-in shower. This suite enjoys access to the patio and pool through a sliding glass door.

The two guest bedrooms are just as stylish and have a king and queen bed, respectively. These rooms share access to the full hall bath.

Historic Sunmor Estates, sometimes referred to as the Alexander Neighborhood, contains Palm Springs’ largest concentration of intact mid century modern homes by four iconic mid-century modern builders: Alexander Construction Company, Robert Higgins, Jack Meiselman, and Smith & Rapport. A stay here will take you right back in time to the era of cars with fins and plenty of chrome, the golden age of top 40 radio, and the lawn flamingo. This area is home to the much-loved annual Palm Springs Modernism Week.

  • All rentals require state and county tax plus additional required fees
  • Damage waiver covers renter for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property. If the damage protection is declined, an additional $5,000 security deposit is required

Reservations booked within 72 hours of arrival require additional verification to provide identity and avoid fraudulent bookings including live video chats with staff members that are recorded.


Direct Bookings on www.acmehouseco.com or Via Phone* for stays of 28 days or less:

  • 60 days or more, prior to Arrival date, Acme House Company will process a 100% refund except for special services** ordered on behalf of the occupant. (Special services refunds are explained below)
  • > 48 hours - 59 days prior to arrival, guests can obtain a full refund minus the booking fee, taxes on the booking fee, and any special services*
  • . The booking fee is considered earned.
  • < 48 hours prior to arrival, the full RENT AMOUNT is considered earned as well as the booking fee and associated taxes. All other costs and fees are refunded, except for special services ordered on behalf of the occupant. (Special services refunds are explained below)

We stayed at the this property and it was by far the best vacation rental I have ever stayed at! The mid century modern interior design was stunning. Every detail of the house was so thoughtfully curated - from the perfectly stocked kitchen, the large selection of vinyl records to play and the amazing pool and backyard toys and games we were left wanting for nothing. Our place was incredibly clean and Acme was very communicative which made the whole experience seamless. We loved the location of the property close to downtown and the airport. We are excited to come back to stay again!
