Lucy, I'm Home - Retro Chic Mid-Mod Home!

Lucy I’m Home is a beautiful, quintessential Palm Springs home. The decor is fabulous and the outdoor spaces are incredible! Spa, pool, outdoor kitchen, fire table and multiple seating areas. Beautiful views of the mountains. The bedrooms are really big and comfortable. We will be back, and totally recommend this house!

We were dazzled by the decor in the Lucy House. We had had a very long day a late check-in (1 or 2 am ) and the house managers had turned all the lights on to welcome us.That was a great touch! The Pool & Spa were fabulous. The grill/Bar-B-Q worked great and was clean. There was fresh tasty coffee in the kitchen for us to make with all the dishes ,glasses and cooking accessories one could ever need. The house has to be seen to be appreciated. Great landscaping and lighting. The only reason I didn't give the house 5 stars across the board is that it sits on the corner of a very busy,noisy street.

We had a fun time staying at this house! Open floor plan, pool/hot tub as well as a grill outside made it a fun hangout for cooking dinner together. When we had questions the management company was very responsive and polite. We would stay here again.

Love this home! The decor is retro, the pool is amazing, and the overall vibe of the place turned out to be perfect for a girls weekend in Palm Springs. The managing company was very responsive and quickly answered my questions. I also requested the pool to be heated which I didn’t realize it’s an added cost - I didn’t read the post throughly but went back and saw the post is accurate, anyways they quickly sent someone out to clean the pool and ensure to get the pool to work, there was a delay with this but if I had planned in advance before arriving all this would all have been taken care of. Overall, the place was clean and I had a positive experience

Great property and outdoor patio with pool, spa, fire pit, bbq, shaded seating area and outdoor shower. You could live outside when the weather permits. Inside takes you back to the old school style in PS heyday. Host was responsive. Big living area and bedrooms. I loved the property

Our stay at this house was the highlight of a great roadtrip through California. We were looking for relaxation with the full Palm Springs retro design feel, and this house was a perfect fit. Let's start with the furnishings, which are so thoughtful and just make you want to break out the cocktails (OK, we don't need a ton of inspiration for cocktails, but you get my point.) Then the pool and spa, which are very luxurious. The backyard is set up with multiple zones, so you can grill/dine in one area...have conversations in others...more cocktails in another. Bedrooms are large and very comfortable. Kitchen is modest, but well equipped. Everything is well maintained and ready for whatever you are up for. Just what you want in Palm Springs!

My husband and I had a wonderful time here! The house had everything we needed; comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and a pool/backyard that was better than a hotel pool. The outside had good outdoor dining and cooking space. The view of the mountains from the yard was spectacular. The furnishings were very in sync with the mid century vibe. It’s a winner!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay in Palm Springs at this quintessential mid century abode. The house is well laid out for privacy with a master bedroom that is separated from other guest rooms. This house has a modern clean vibe while being inviting and cozy at the same time. The real treat is the courtyard pool area which is a Shangri-la of comfortable poolside furniture and both pool and hot tub. Also a full outside dining area. We stayed by the pool for a good portion of our stay! We give this place all of our thumbs up!!

Well located mid-century modern home with beautiful pool, spa and barbecue. We spent most of our stay in the tranquil backyard, but could see ourselves cooking in the well equipted kitchen on another stay. The neigborhood was delightful and very walkable. There is a nice biking/walking/running trail also nearby. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The bathrooms were well-laid out and updated. The outdoor shower was an added plus. We are looking forward to staying at this rental again in the near future!

This place is amazing! All in on the Mid-Century vibe with all the comforts of newer beds, comfortable towels, etc. The space flows really well and the pool/spa is amazing. We wound up using all the little corners of this property during our stay. The outdoor pool area has at least 5 distinct sitting areas that we made use of at different times of day. Cool spot. Highly recommend.

The house was wonderful! Yard and pool were perfect! Concrete floors stay cool, perfect for the furry kids! Nicely decorated and well stocked! Being on the corner of busy street brought some traffic noises, but nothing too bad and it becomes white noise! Highly recommend!

Overall Comment Great house in the perfect and convenient location - close to super markets, restaurants, etc. And a short drive to downtown restaurants, etc. Beautiful and clean space - with on-point mid-century decor. Comfortable bedrooms. And a hard to beat outdoor space. The property management company was available and checked in often to ensure our arrival was smooth and we had what we needed. A perfect getaway for this family of four.

Overall Comment The house was lovely with interesting mid-century decor. All the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and had a large refrigerator. We spent most of our time outside. The pool was clean and the perfect temperature. There were six of us staying there and a couple others spent the afternoons with us. It was great to have so much outdoor space where we could spread out.

A spacious and beautifully designed home. In any other year, this would be a great place to bring friends together. In 2020, it was a great place for my wife and I to enjoy a week away from our small SF condo.

Overall Comment My wife and I had a much needed week away from our downtown SF loft that we've lived and worked in together for the last 8 months. Having more than one room and an outside space to relax in was exactly what we needed - even for just 8 short days. The property is beautiful and the house opens very nicely to the outside space. Our only complaints: the pool is too small for swimming, the road noise at night is more like a rumble than a noise, one of the showers was working (handle was broken), and there was no hot water inside. Fortunately, the outside shower had hot water, but it would have been nice to actually take a warm shower inside.

My husband and I stayed at this house for his 40th birthday. The house is exactly as advertised, if not better. You can tell that the owners put in a lot of effort to make this house a special place to stay. One minor suggestion would be to put darker curtains in the bedrooms. Otherwise - perfection. We will be coming back!

Great house in Palm Springs - super stylish/clean space, with many nice touches. Check in and check out couldn't have been easier. The kitchen (and bar accessories) both came very well stocked, and the house stayed nice and cool during record heat. The outside area is quite large with plenty of seating and wonderful lighting at night. Everything worked well and we had an excellent time at this house!

Overall Comment The layout of the place was great for 5 adults. The backyard pool, fireplace, grill and jacuzzi was great for entertaining. We wish we could've taken more advantage of it but it rained pretty heavily on two of the days. Overall a wonderful and relaxing stay!

Overall Comment staff-best i have encountered in 10 years. faults in house--terrible sound system for main tv and very poor instructions for use. toilets should be elongated not round very difficult to use....silverware was lackluster . no knife sharpener, no potato peeler. concierge rushed out saying she had another appointment even though we were early. she could not work tv/cable. as i said book not correct. beds could be firmer or new mattresses lots of traffic noise all hours of the night.

Overall Comment Great vacation house for kids, families, and couples. Nice big bedrooms and bathrooms, wonderful pool area with lots of seating. Our only small complaint is that the home is on a very busy street that is very noisy all day and night - but only mostly noticeable when trying to sleep. If you aren’t a light sleeper, you wouldn’t notice.

Overall Comment The Lucy I’m Home house was fantastic, in a great location, albeit a little dated and confused with its style. The AC was not as we expected with reliance on ceiling fans in the bedrooms, which also had small beds for the size of rooms. The large outside space was fantastic with various seating, dining and cooking areas as well as a large pool and spa - perfect for those hot sunny days. The ACME team were great hosts too. Definitely stay there again and highly recommended,

Overall Comment The home is exceptionally beautiful, very clean and well maintained. It slept 6 very comfortably. Pool and spa were fabulous and clean. The manager and her team were extremely attentive to our needs and immediately resolved any issues that came up. Location was great. Very quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay there again!

Overall Comment I can't say enough good things, from the moment we got there to when we left. First off the décor is impeccable and the house is large and spacious. The backyard is perfect for BBQing and lounging with friends and family. The house has many amenities and a notebook of how to use anything in the house which is useful when you are trying to figure out cable, wifi, jacuzzi, etc. We would definitely stay again! Also, a great location 5 minutes from downtown.

Overall Comment We spent the month of March in "Lucy I'm Home" and had a wonderful time. The home is stylish and has a great outdoor space. The indoor and outdoor spaces are even better than the photos suggest. Great touches by the designer / owner enhance the look and feel of the property. Three well appointed and comfortable bedrooms. One with direct access to the pool area and another with a private courtyard out front. Great mountain views from the pool area. A quick walk or bike ride to downtown and to the restaurants on E. Palm Canyon Drive. While well equipped, the kitchen could use a better selection of outdoor dining and drink ware. Overall a wonderful house that we would certainly recommend and stay in again.

Overall Comment It was our first time visiting Palm Springs and we loved it! We brought our young adult children with us over the Christmas holidays and loved every minute of staying in the home called Lucy, I’m home! The home was clean with large rooms and we especially loved the family room opening to the very private backyard. We spoke We spent lots of time in the terrific hot tub and heated pool! The home has a great location and we walked to old town Palm Springs and drove easily too many surrounding states. I’ve already recommended Lucy I’m home to my friends back in Missouri. I was especially impressed with Acme management company. They were very friendly, helpful and attentive to any question we had.

We truly enjoyed the Lucy I'm home property! We had a group of six, the 3 bedrooms were situated just right for us. The decor was total Palm Springs, the pool and yard was amazing! We spent more time at the house than at the Pride celebrations. We will definitely be back.

Overall Comment We enjoyed a short stay at Lucy, I'm Home in June. The house was beautifully decorated. We loved the vintage furnishings. The kitchen was well planned and the outdoor seating and lights at night fantastic. The house is close to downtown and easy to get to. Our only complaint was the Acme-branded WiFi in the house was so slow as to be unusable for any purpose but email. We ended up setting up Verizon hotspots on our cell phones to have faster Internet.

Overall Comment As always w VRBO we had a nice time. The house was clean and in a good location I would suggest more plastic glassware. There was some but none really matched. The outdoor spaces were nice. We did have a hard time figuring out the showers inside. We used outside often because it had the best pressure and hot water.we come for spring break annually and will be next year as well. Always fun!!! The house was stocked otherwise and very relaxing. The vintage furniture prices were a nice stay in the same house again...

My family spent a wonderful, relaxing Christmas week at Lucy, I'm Home. The home was exactly as described - and exceeded my expectations. The layout of the home allowed privacy and plenty of space for the family to gather. It was a great location to spend the week hiking - in and around Palm Springs as well as Joshua Tree. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool and patio upon return from our daily excursions as well as grilling dinner each evening. We were all sad to leave and wished we had booked for a few additional days. Will definitely be back and highly recommend Acme House Company. The coffee maker was not working and although it was Christmas Eve, they didn't think twice about replacing it that evening. Great response and wonderful customer service throughout the rental process. Simple and timely instructions for check-in and check-out....both a breeze!

This home was large, clean, and as advertised. The concierge service was a nice welcome, and the cleaning service was on-site promptly at 10 a.m. while we departed. We would recommend this house to anyone looking for a Palm Springs rental.

ACME House Co. made us feel like we were valued, and they were there to take care of us. I chose Acme House because they got better ratings than other vacation rental companies. I also liked the damage waiver fees rather than my having to be paranoid during the whole trip about getting charged for inadvertent damage. I loved the backyard of the house and the layout of the home. Excellent style and overall stay.

We chose this property because we liked the look of the home and the outside area. This was our first time renting a home so we had no preference of rental agency however we were very happy with ACME House Co. The best part was the outdoor area, having our meals outside, and relaxing by the pool. Also, it was nice to have some shaded areas so you could get out of the sun, and still enjoy the outdoors. We really enjoyed the experience of having a house rental, and overall the stay was very relaxing. We found the home lacked nothing, and was so comfortable, and had a lot of charcter and attention to detail. Overall a wonderful stay!

The photos do not do this home justice, it's immaculate, and better than expected. I cannot wait to stay at this home again. The Acme team was great also with the process, Acme is my go to for rentals. Always responsive and provided very thorough information regarding the home, and all the amenities, etc. If you're looking for a special and beautifully designed mid-century modern home, with all the creature comforts for pure rest and relaxation this home will not disappoint. There isn't a single complaint, just a great experience all around. I have stayed at other Acme rentals and this one is by far my favorite. I will definitely be back again.

We loved everything about this house! We had rented a different house with a different rental agency and it was accidentally double booked, they were not able to accommodate us. We contacted ACME House Co. within a week of our vacation, and they got us this house. ACME House Co., knows the rental process well, and made it simple once the agreement was signed, with a seamless check in process. We really appreciated being able to check in at 2am and not having to meet someone at the house! The house was right on Sunrise, busy street, lots of road noise and sirens which dramatically impacted our enjoyment. we had a very nice stay, had a few breakfasts/dinners outside, had my in-laws over for dinner, and enjoyed ourselves.

This property was so much more than I expected. The furnishings were top notch, and are not rental furnishings, they are top quality and made me feel like I was at home, not just in some rental! The outdoor area was very well planned out. The location was perfect, and it was located in the south (less windy) part of town. Loved the pool, and also relaxing inside, on our last night, enjoying a movie on the television!

I'm a photographer who visited friends at this house for just one day. All I can say to all the mid-century modern fans out there is bring your camera! Very cool house with something interesting to look at around every corner. Great design inside and out. And Wow! There was a restored Airstream in the back yard that looked brand new.
