Excellent home and location. We really enjoyed everything about the house… especially the pool and the TV Room (March Madness). The location is right next to the main area of downtown and you can walk to numerous restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend this property.

Lion's Gate is a beautiful home with an amazing yard. The location is exactly what we wanted!! Close to town and the grocery store. Also, there is a beautiful park less than a block away. Acme house always answered my phone call with answers and immediate help. Our only complaint is that there were not enough bath towels. We also had an issue with one of the toilets. A plumber was sent over the next day and it was determined that a tree root is growing near the toilet system. We visit Palm Springs often as it is the halfway point for our daughters and us to spend some quality time together. I would rent this house again in a second as long as the plumbing issue is addressed. We had a wonderful experience!!

My girlfriends and I take an annual trip to Palm Springs and this is our most favorite house to date. It is beautiful, both inside and out, very well maintained, complete with beautiful dishes and glassware, and is in short walking distance to town. I would highly recommend Lions Gate Estate and we will be returning for sure!

Picked the place because we wanted 4 king size beds with separate showers, a pool, a hot tub, and walking distance to town. Place was ideal and gave plenty of Palm Springs flare. It also had a pool table that was a bonus.There is also plenty of privacy with privacy walls and a driveway gate. The only major problem we had was the washer not working which they ended up replacing. ACME was very responsive. The other problem we had was the pillows were too firm for our taste. They offered to get us others but we declined.

This property was beautiful, large, cozy and well set up for indoor and outdoor entertaining. Location was great and walking distance/short uber ride to downtown east. Pool temperature was perfect. No additional fees for spa use. Pup friendly. Check out was easy - just remove trash. Only challenge was the A/C did not hit all rooms at night. Would definitely book again but I would pick a different room to sleep in ha ha

This was the perfect destination for our Girls Trip! The house had plenty of space, the pool was incredible, and it was close to many wonderful restaurants! We will definitely return for another trip!

We found Lion's Gate perfect for the 6 adults, 2 small children and 1 dog. The house has 3 bedrooms (each ensuite) on one side for mom/dad and the children, one for grandparents and then another bedroom (ensuite) on the other side for the single adult. The house was positioned so that by 3pm, there was sufficient shade covering the nice sized pool and a spacious, covered patio. The residential area is very nice and upscale. We felt extremely private, surrounded by a high wall/greenery and a gate onto the property. The dog could roam and explore without us closely behind (although we generally were). The area for the kitchen, dining and billiard table were together and very open for us to visit and move around. There was a comfortable TV room for the younger and a quiet living room (when needed) in another area for the older. We sat a couple of patio chairs on the front porch in the mornings for coffee and to see the beautiful views of the mountains and palm trees. The house provided everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved it! This is our second year using Acme House Co and they are great to work with. All are very gracious and accommodating. Even their instruction guide is pleasantly worded. Wonderful house and memories.

The house in Lions Gate Palm Springs was everything we could ask for. Private suites, lots of room, kitchen had all the amenities, close to everything. The pool was amazing we spent a lot of time there. We will definitely go back!!

Lions Gate is our favorite house to rent. Spacious. 4 bedrooms. All en-suite. Well maintained and decorated. Location is the best. Quick walk to several of our favorite restaurants (Copleys, Jake’s, 849) and galleries (Rubine Red). Nice pool and spa.

This home is absolutely beautiful!! We loved the house, pool and hot tub!!! Also the short walk to the town and all the great restaurants and stores worked well for us. Would love to rent this home again, for sure!! Also the area is nice and quiet... no loud parties at night.

Terrific house in excellent condition. Very spacious and comfortable. En suite bathroom in each bedroom. Well-equipped kitchen. Immaculate landscaping. Lovely, resort-like backyard with beautiful pool and hot tub, lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. Private and quiet. Easy walking distance to downtown. The Acme people were responsive and friendly. I texted them once after office hours, expecting to not hear from them until the next morning, but received a reply within a few minutes and had my question answered immediately. We really enjoyed our stay in this home and would be happy to return.

Great property for our group escaping winter. Very clean and spacious; all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and plenty of room to spread out. Fabulous yard with pool, hot tub, fire pit and bocce ball court. We were very comfortable at the Lions Gate Estate.

Lions Den was a great house for a vacation with 4 teenage kids! The pool table and pool/hot tub were a big hit and the location was great to walk into town for meals. Acme was great to work with.

The wonderful property was perfect for our family trip with our adult children and their spouses. It was very convenient for each couple to have their own bathroom in this four bed/four bath home. We spent most of our time in the beautiful yard and private pool. The house is very well maintained and well equipped with all the amenities we needed. The property is managed very well and checkin/checkout was very easy. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a blast here relaxing by the pool every day. Nice layout with a great outdoor space that we would absolutely come back to again. Acme was super responsive and there’s a concierge service as well so groceries and flowerers can be waiting for you on arrival. Would recommend to anyone!

My husband and I hosted our 3 millennials and their significant others at this fabulous house for a long weekend in January. The 4 en-suite bedrooms ensured lots of space and privacy for all. The kitchen was so well equipped! Yard, pool, spa, grill etc all made for a self-contained paradise. We cooked in, we walked to town to explore and dine out, we drove to Joshua Tree National Park for a day, we hiked in Indian Canyons. Acme was a pleasure to work with - helped me add a late check out and a couple puppers! House was spotless. My family votes for a redo next winter!

The property was a great fit to our group of eight adults. The kitchen was well equipped, and we prepared big dinners there every night of our stay. The pool, hot tub, fire pit and even the bocce ball court got plenty of use. It was close enough to good restaurants and the local park to walk, but not so close that foot traffic or road traffic intruded.

Lions Gate Estate was exactly as described. The close proximity to shopping and restaurants made for a very relaxing trip. We walked into town a multiple times for coffees, shopping, etc.. The billiard table, bocce ball and pool/hot tub allowed everyone to have fun while at the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were a nice size. The kitchen had plenty of plates and silverware for our party of eight. It was a perfect stay for our family. Acme house was great to work with. There was one little hiccup and they handled it quickly and professionally. Their staff was top notch. We highly recommend this house and Acme House Company

It’s a terrific house. Rooms are larger than we imagined. House is very well supplied — from kitchen to towels, etc. House managers were incredibly professional and responsive. One suggestion: put area rugs under the pool table and the dining room table to reduce noise levels in kitchen area.

We celebrated my 50th birthday at Lion's Gate. We loved the pool, enjoyed making delicious meals and eating them in the beautiful dining room and outdoor area. We had 4 adult couples and we all had our own space with our own suites. The short walk to the town was lovely as well.

It's hard to find something that has not been mentioned previously in what a fabulous stay we had. House was exactly as described, if not better. From pre-arrival information to check in to lounging, relaxing, napping, grilling, etc by the pool in a secluded backyard. To some of the quietest and peaceful nights we have ever experienced on vacation. Loved the neighborhood. Ran several miles every morning in different directions trying to spot as many celebrities homes Enjoyed nighttime walks to downtown (fortunately the weather broke midweek and the evenings got cooler) Would certainly stay again.

The house was beautiful, clean, well taken care of, and very private. All of the bedrooms were huge and having private bathrooms in all of them was very convenient. The location was excellent - close to the airport and only a few blocks from lots of restaurants and shops. The staff was friendly and responsive to any questions and concerns. My biggest complaint would be the noise restrictions. We weren’t throwing a party or anything crazy, we just like to have some background music. But we were told we could not have any music playing outside or we would risk a fine and eviction. Other than that, we had to be careful about leaving food out otherwise it’d be swarming with ants and the igniter on the stove was malfunctioning. Minor issues though. Overall a great house as long as you don’t mind keeping the noise down outside.

We loved how private this house was and the location was perfect! We had a few minor issues ( air conditioner stopped working, and we blew a fuse), but both issues were handled immediately. There were technicians at our house within 15 minutes of our call in both instances. The only negative about the house was that the bathrooms were extremely outdated. I would recommend updating all of the fixtures ASAP.

A wonderful stay in the movie colony of Palm Springs for our group of 4 adults & bichon dog. A sprawling clean well appointed home with many photos & posters of old Hollywood movie stars & movie memorabilia which enhanced our relaxing week in this beautiful home. All beds were comfortable with en-suite bathrooms that were perfect for our group. All bedrooms with pretty views of pool or mountain range & fruit trees. The kitchen was well equipped with cookware, glassware & utensils for all our needs. The walled property created privacy & spaciousness not only in the beautiful backyard but also in the front yard with pretty views of the San Jacinto mountain range. We had a question about the gas grill & umbrellas that blew over in the wind that were addressed promptly with a visit to the home to remedy. It was very convenient to downtown restaurants & shops to enjoy. Thanks for a great stay! We will look forward to returning!

Overall Comment As an early 30th anniversary celebration, we treated our daughters and their husbands, along with two close friends, to a week in Palm Springs. Lions Gate Estate was a magnificent choice. Check-in was easy, the home was very clean and inviting, and the management company was very responsive (we thought the pool's heater wasn't working properly; a technician was at the house within an hour!). The kitchen is well-stocked, including with Keurig coffee pods. The master bedroom is huge, with a ton of closet space. One thing to watch out for: the floor in the shower is very slippery when wet (suggestion for the management company: a rubber mat to enhance safety). We didn't contact the property manager about this, but the temperature in the dining room and the adjoining bedroom was much warmer than in the rest of the house. The pool was wonderful! But it does not have a railing at the steps, so be very careful getting in and out. It also may need some new calking soon. And some of the furniture may need replacing. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood -- and that's just the way people there want it. It's close to downtown Palm Springs, and nothing is more than 30 minutes away (the Palm Springs area is larger than you think!). Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat!

The house was clean, in excellent condition and filled with amenities both inside and out. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals; bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor space was fantastic - we loved the dining space, couches, lounge areas, pool, hot tub, fire pit and Bocce. Acme House Company was the most attentive rental group I've ever experienced. Before and after we booked, they answered the phone when we called and offered polite, professional service. They also responded quickly to email. During the trip, they made sure we knew they were available should we need anything. They quickly came out to fix a broken bathtub faucet and replace lights that were burnt out. This was an amazing home and the location was perfect for us to walk to town every morning and get our favorite smoothies at Tutti Fruitti or walk to the trail head at the museum. We had some issues at our first rental home that could of happened to any home you rent but they were quick to move us to this beautiful property the same day we called. This house was wonderful for our family get away. Acme is always so responsive to issues and come to solve immediately. Beds and linens were soft and comfortable. Plenty of towels for bath and pool, the refrigerator was completely cleaned out and empty (no yucky leftovers). Stocked with a little starter kit for dishwasher and laundry - much appreciated. As mentioned in earlier posts, there is a small ant issues (the problem and ants are small) and I think some more details in a house manual would be helpful. Even when the TV got messed up, they came immediately to help me out. The TVs are loaded with Netflix, Disney+ etc. to enjoy family movie night. Pool guy came at least 3X and gardeners 2X. Kept everything clean and tidy! Many thanks to Acme for a wonderful stay.

Pictures did not do the property justice, well maintained and appointed-- perfect for any large group vacation. ACME was responsive and went out of their way to ensure our trip was relaxing. When our bocce ball court was missing a ball, they came out the next morning to deliver a replacement. A+ experience, thanks!

So our goal was to find someplace our family could shelter-in-place safely and just have fun. Lion's gate was it! Located in the heart of the Movie Colony, the house is decorated in keeping with the retro style of the area. The pool was the perfect place for all of us (including our labradoodle Coco) to float, enjoy a beverage and forget about the stresses of the past few months. The overhang from the patio roof provided the perfect amount of shade onto the pool so we weren't in full sun all of the time. The property is entirely surrounded by a wall and greenery, including a gated driveway. It felt wonderfully private! The landscaping was a lovely backdrop and was just the right amount of space for Coco to play and explore. We hit a few snags during our week -- ants in the kitchen and pantry, and a broken air-con circulator in half of the house -- but the Property Manager Camille was quickly responsive and sensitive to our concerns about having people enter the house. The TVs were a bit frustrating to figure out at times, but there's a great selection of programming (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc.) so once you landed on a program all was good. The kitchen was well stocked, although with the ant issue it would have been nice to have a few more plastic containers. Loved having sun umbrellas and chairs to lounge on, but the umbrellas could use an update and heavier bottoms. With the slightest breeze the umbrellas would topple over and have obviously sustained some damage....

Perfect layout for 4 couples, king size beds in each of the large rooms and on suite baths for everyone. Large super clean house with every amenity and some extras. Location is perfect with a short walk to downtown .

This property was so clean and comfortable for the 4 couples traveling to celebrate a 55th birthday together. Close enough to walk to amazing restaurants, beautiful pool, hot tub and fire space outdoors. We had a blast , highly recommend.

The house was perfect, and the pool table/bocce court were added bonuses that made our trip more fun. I can’t say anything negative about the property or the property management company. Communication was great! However, there were a lot of things not working when we arrived. The concierge met us and was friendly, but he was unable to fix anything or handle contacting maintenance on our behalf. We were able to let ourselves in, and we ordered our own supplies for the house. Though it’s nice to be greeted, I would do away with the concierge or have them provide some services. Or call them “greeters” to avoid false expectations. That said, once the maintenance guy showed up, he was great! Fixed everything quickly and was professional. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends!

Overall Comment The house met all our needs. Very clean The kitchen is well equipped. Split bedrooms were perfect for us. Lots of room for our party of 6. All glass sliding doors to patio area were very difficult to open. Rollers on bottom of all doors need to be replaced as you need to use two hands and body weights to open. The left side of house where kitchen, one bedroom and media room are was a little too warm. Bocce balls need to be replaced as they are cracked and holes in material they are covered with. If we were staying longer the AC would have to been fixed for our maximum comfort. On the whole this is a lovely gated house.
