This in-town estate home features stunning mountain views, a gorgeous free form pool with integrated waterfall spa and a poolside living pavilion with al fresco dining space and an outdoor living room. You’ll also find an additional outdoor lounge centered on a custom fire feature. There are fruit trees, rolling green lawns, a bocce ball court, and a hard-lined barbecue station - so you’ll never have to worry about the tank running out. Shade umbrellas and chaise lounges dot the perimeter of the pool offering the perfect combination of full sun and shaded areas. There is something very special about Lions Gate Estate. It is the type of desert paradise guests return to year after year.

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
There is an easy elegance about this home. Impressive high-style design meets laid back and livable chic. Soothing color palette, comfortable designer furnishings, beautiful Hollywood-inspired artwork, six flat screen televisions and a media room created for hours of binge-watching pleasure. At the center of it all is the huge open entertaining area with 9 foot ceilings, a billiard room with its own huge flat screen television, sleek contemporary interior dining (seats 10-12) and a well-stocked chef’s kitchen that has been carefully space planned for group meal prep. This is the perfect holiday home - well suited for long weekends, week-long stays, by the month or by the season.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Like a specialty boutique hotel, all four sleeping quarters are beautifully decorated, feature hospitality-quality mattresses, flat screen televisions, and ample storage. The South Wing is spectacular - featuring three King Master Suites - each with a private en suite bath. On the north wing is the fourth master bedroom suite. It has direct pool access, a private en suite bath , and a walk in closet. One of the bedroom suites offers flexible sleeping arrangements - you can choose between having the room set ups as a king or two extra long twins.

THE LOCATION
Lions Gate Estate is centrally located in the heart of Palm Springs just one block from Ruth Hardy Park -- and less than a half mile from the world famous Palm Canyon Drive as it cuts through the Uptown Design District. Casual eateries, fine dining, coffee spots, art galleries and specialty boutiques are all within walking distance. The Convention Center, The Casino and the public tennis courts are also very close by. You'll be just minutes from movie theaters, museums, and live performance venue. You'll even find grocery stores, burger joints, sandwich shops and every other convenience imaginable, all within two miles from this gorgeous property.

Lion's Gate Perfect for Us

We found Lion's Gate perfect for the 6 adults, 2 small children and 1 dog. The house has 3 bedrooms (each ensuite) on one side for mom/dad and the children, one for grandparents and then another bedroom (ensuite) on the other side for the single adult. The house was positioned so that by 3pm, there was sufficient shade covering the nice sized pool and a spacious, covered patio. The residential area is very nice and upscale. We felt extremely private, surrounded by a high wall/greenery and a gate onto the property. The dog could roam and explore without us closely behind (although we generally were). The area for the kitchen, dining and billiard table were together and very open for us to visit and move around. There was a comfortable TV room for the younger and a quiet living room (when needed) in another area for the older. We sat a couple of patio chairs on the front porch in the mornings for coffee and to see the beautiful views of the mountains and palm trees. The house provided everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved it! This is our second year using Acme House Co and they are great to work with. All are very gracious and accommodating. Even their instruction guide is pleasantly worded. Wonderful house and memories.

Terrific house in excellent condition. Very spacious and comfortable. En suite bathroom in each bedroom. Well-equipped kitchen. Immaculate landscaping. Lovely, resort-like backyard with beautiful pool and hot tub, lounge chairs, umbrellas, etc. Private and quiet. Easy walking distance to downtown. The Acme people were responsive and friendly. I texted them once after office hours, expecting to not hear from them until the next morning, but received a reply within a few minutes and had my question answered immediately. We really enjoyed our stay in this home and would be happy to return.

Great Movie Colony area property

My husband and I hosted our 3 millennials and their significant others at this fabulous house for a long weekend in January. The 4 en-suite bedrooms ensured lots of space and privacy for all. The kitchen was so well equipped! Yard, pool, spa, grill etc all made for a self-contained paradise. We cooked in, we walked to town to explore and dine out, we drove to Joshua Tree National Park for a day, we hiked in Indian Canyons. Acme was a pleasure to work with - helped me add a late check out and a couple puppers! House was spotless. My family votes for a redo next winter!

Memorable time in Palm Springs

Lions Gate Estate was exactly as described. The close proximity to shopping and restaurants made for a very relaxing trip. We walked into town multiple times for coffees, shopping, etc.. The billiard table, bocce ball and pool/hot tub allowed everyone to have fun while at the house. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were a nice size. The kitchen had plenty of plates and silverware for our party of eight. It was a perfect stay for our family. Acme house was great to work with. There was one little hiccup and they handled it quickly and professionally. Their staff was top notch. We highly recommend this house and Acme House Company

The property was a great fit to our group of eight adults. The kitchen was well equipped, and we prepared big dinners there every night of our stay. The pool, hot tub, fire pit and even the bocce ball court got plenty of use. It's hard to find something that has not been mentioned previously in what a fabulous stay we had. House was exactly as described, if not better. From pre-arrival information to check in to lounging, relaxing, napping, grilling, etc by the pool in a secluded backyard. To some of the quietest and peaceful nights we have ever experienced on vacation. Loved the neighborhood. Ran several miles every morning in different directions trying to spot as many celebrities homes Enjoyed nighttime walks to downtown (fortunately the weather broke midweek and the evenings got cooler) Would certainly stay again.

Overall Comment Happy to return to our tradition of a family trip to the desert! It's quick road trip from our home, and we have been to Palm Springs dozens of times in our lifetime. We love Palm Springs, and are so excited to see the vibrant development and redevelopment taking place. So many great restaurants, places to shop, and cultural experiences. Staying in the Movie Colony was ideal for us. It's old Palm Springs charm and location is perfect. This estate sits on a big private lot. The house is large, and there is room and privacy for all. We chose it for the four king-size en suite bedrooms. We have grown kids, and a grandson. The furnishings are nice, the beds are comfy. We let the management know that the kitchen was great, but the supplies needed to be reviewed - it seemed like it was less than ideal. I'm certain they'll be able to fix that quite easily. We had a couple minor challenges during the week, and ACME was very responsive and professional. The pool gets plenty of sun in the mornings, and its starts to get shady in the afterno0 - which we liked. We played Bocce Ball, and enjoyed the firepit in the evenings. I'm not sure if it was allowed - but we certainly enjoyed the beautiful grapefruit from the tree out front.

We Had A Wonderful Time!

Overall Comment As an early 30th anniversary celebration, we treated our daughters and their husbands, along with two close friends, to a week in Palm Springs. Lions Gate Estate was a magnificent choice. Check-in was easy, the home was very clean and inviting, and the management company was very responsive (we thought the pool's heater wasn't working properly; a technician was at the house within an hour!). The kitchen is well-stocked, including with Keurig coffee pods. The master bedroom is huge, with a ton of closet space. One thing to watch out for: the floor in the shower is very slippery when wet (suggestion for the management company: a rubber mat to enhance safety). We didn't contact the property manager about this, but the temperature in the dining room and the adjoining bedroom was much warmer than in the rest of the house. The pool was wonderful! But it does not have a railing at the steps, so be very careful getting in and out. It also may need some new calking soon. And some of the furniture may need replacing. The home is in a very quiet neighborhood -- and that's just the way people there want it. It's close to downtown Palm Springs, and nothing is more than 30 minutes away (the Palm Springs area is larger than you think!). Would we stay here again? In a heartbeat!

Overall Comment Lions Gate Estate was the perfect place for our two families to safely enjoy fun in the sun - our first time traveling since the start of Covid. The house was clean, in excellent condition and filled with amenities both inside and out. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to make meals; bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor space was fantastic - we loved the dining space, couches, lounge areas, pool, hot tub, fire pit and Bocce. Acme House Company was the most attentive rental group I've ever experienced. Before and after we booked, they answered the phone when we called and offered polite, professional service. They also responded quickly to email. During the trip, they made sure we knew they were available should we need anything. They quickly came out to fix a broken bathtub faucet and replace lights that were burnt out. I was amazed at their response time. Truly top notch!

This was an amazing home and the location was perfect for us to walk to town every morning and get our favorite smoothies at Tutti Fruitti or walk to the trail head at the museum. Acme House Company was amazing. We had some issues at our first rental home that could of happened to any home you rent but they were quick to move us to this beautiful property the same day we called. The pool is amazing and still got lots of morning and early afternoon sun for this time of year.

Overall Comment We rented this property for a getaway with our family. The home was in walking distance to down town Palm Springs. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and hot tub each day. Loved the home furnishings and the four en-suite bedrooms which was perfect for our party size. There were some items that needed repairs during our stay but Acme Home Management was quick to respond to what was needed. I would highly recommend using this management company. They are organized, responsive and courteous.

Overall Comment Overall we had a wonderful stay and loved the home. The kitchen appliances and equipment were the only thing lacking in my opinion. I would recommend getting a chef out to the home to offer advise on how to improve the kitchen to make it more appealing to guests that cook and entertain while enjoying the beautiful home and property. The pool, hot tub and outdoor fireplace were awesome and having 4 master suites for 4 couples made for a perfect vacation. The home is spacious and in a great location (although we did miss the mountain views we have had in previous years). I would happily stay at Lions Gate Again.

Overall Comment The house met all our needs. Very clean The kitchen is well equipped. Split bedrooms were perfect for us. Lots of room for our party of 6. All glass sliding doors to patio area were very difficult to open. Rollers on bottom of all doors need to be replaced as you need to use two hands and body weights to open. The left side of house where kitchen, one bedroom and media room are was a little too warm. Bocce balls need to be replaced as they are cracked and holes in material they are covered with. If we were staying longer the AC would have to been fixed for our maximum comfort. On the whole this is a lovely gated house.

Overall Comment Four couples rented this property and found most everything to be perfect for us. The bedroom suites were all very similar and very comfortable for all of us. The online pictures don't do this place justice. Lions Gate Estate was the perfect choice for four couples on a Palm Springs getaway. Each couple had their own king suite with private bath. The place was so big we kept getting lost and laughing about it. The grounds were amazingly private. The best part was that we were in walking distance to town. Didn't even need Uber. Two blocks and we were at Ernest Coffee and Bootlegger Tikki right in the middle of the Uptown Design District. Perfect. Perfect. Perfect.

Lion's Gate Weekend Stay

Overall Comment Four couples had an excellent stay at Lion's Gate. The home is a bit older but beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. The four bedrooms all have their own ensuite baths, king beds and new Casper mattresses that are very comfortable. The yard and pool were clean and well maintained and we used the bocce ball court and huge fire pit. We did have a little trouble with the kitchen sink but Acme sent service providers right away. The location is fabulous close to Ruth Hardy Park and a few blocks from restaurants (we enjoyed The Workshop, Trio and 849) and coffee shops.

Great home for large family

Overall Comment I've stayed in 3 different homes now in Palm Springs and this has been the largest yet. I was very pleased with the pool, interior design, the backyard, and there was a ton of space for everyone to move around. The pool table was a huge hit and everyone had a great time. The only drawbacks would be that we did find ants in the pantry but that happens. Also the water from the faucets is very cloudy. This could be a neighborhood thing or just the house but management provided a brand new water filter jug that I'd recommend using. The water from the fridge is also filtered so that's ok too. Other than that the only other thing I'd highlight as a negative is the layout. The home is divided in 2 basically. You have 3 of the bedrooms on one side and a large living room that very few people used unless they were walking through it to the pool. Most activity happened in the kitchen/pool table area that is on the other side of the house with one bedroom. Ideally we'd want a more open floor plan but overall it was big enough to just stay on that one side most of the time. The kids played in the media room a lot which was nice since it was right by us in the kitchen when cooking. Leaving the baby in the bedroom though was not an option because it was too far away and you couldn't hear anything back there. I'd recommend bringing a baby monitor if you have an infant. The house was hard to cool at least on the west side of the house in the afternoons. You could cool down the east

A Wonderful Holiday

We would definitely rent this house again. The location was excellent and in a quiet neighborhood. We could walk to the Ruth Hardy Park, coffee shops, the uptown district and the art museum. If our seven family members had not planned to visit and hike at Indian Canyon, Joshua Tree, Salton Sea and other nearby sites, we would have had no need for cars. As for the house itself, it was in excellent condition. The backyard was very welcoming--nice patio furniture, a well-maintained heated pool and a hot tub--even a bocci court. The furniture in the house looked quite new, and the house was spacious enough to accommodate all of us quite comfortably. The kitchen was well-equipped, great for cooking and eating in. The pool table was a great added feature. I want to thank Cesar Arce for his quick responses to the minor adjustments we needed. He was really a jewel and always had a smile. In all the management was very attentive.

All the Vintage Hollywood posters, the photos of the movie stars, and the overall feel of celebrity status. All of us had our own master suite. We felt like movie stars. We had the privilege of spending the afternoon at Lions Gate Estate as part of a Palm Springs Familiarization Tour. It is gorgeous. This property really captures the connection to vintage Hollywood. For me the highlights were the media room with all the vintage movie posters, the poolside outdoor living pavilion, and the art installation that tells the story of Frank Sinatra. And yes the Marilyn Monroe-kissed master suite was simply gorgeous.
