This private gated community is a friendly mix of full time owners, seasonal residents and vacation renters who flock to Plaza Villas for its great location, resort-style amenities, park-like grounds, and value level pricing. The owners of Double Down Hideaway have created their own desert escape that they are now sharing as a vacation rental for the first time. This home is fully stocked, including full linen service, wifi, and premium cable. It can be rented by the week, month or season.

We know you came here to enjoy beautiful Palm Springs outdoor activities, and you chose the right rental! Within the private gates of Plaza Villas are a plethora of opportunities for play, pampering, and recreation. Savor long afternoons by one of the two huge pools, then enjoy an evening dip in the spa. Or challenge someone to an epic tennis match at the court, or stroll the beautifully landscaped gardens. Then wind down the day by grilling and enjoying good company over drinks on the patio.

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Our convenient and cozy two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo is ready to accommodate up to four guests. Upon check-in, you’ll notice the elegant living room with hardwood features. The leather couch and upholstered chairs are perfect for a night in with a good movie streaming on the TV. If nice weather is beckoning you, simply pop through the sliding glass doors to lounge in the sun on the outdoor patio.
Our modern condo is also equipped with a well-appointed kitchen. Find all the appliances and utensils you need to whip up your favorite dishes. Brew a pot of coffee and enjoy scenic views of the Santa Rosa Mountains as you meal prep. When it’s time to eat, gather around the elegant glass dining table with leather chairs to enjoy your meal together.

With a blend of seasonal residents, permanent owners, and vacationers, the condos here at Plaza Villas are designed for the ultimate comfort, while still wowing you with resort-style amenities. Our two tastefully designed bedrooms are no exception, making guests feel right at home!

The primary bedroom, equipped with a cozy King bed, offers an elegant minimalist design with a soothing color palette. You’ll find a TV, hardwood vanity dresser with ample storage, and a glass sliding door for easy outdoor access. You’ll also appreciate the ensuite bathroom, with its beautiful stonetop vanity and shower/tub combo.

The bright, sunny guest bedroom is equipped with two soft twin beds and storage space. You’ll love the abundant natural light as it pours through the scenic windows and double-glass doors leading to the outdoor patio. And don’t stress about not having an ensuite bathroom—you’ll have unhindered access to the colorful guest bathroom, with its stunning vanity and walk-in shower.

Plaza Villas sits right in the heart of Downtown Palm Springs. You’ll be directly across the street from the Agua Caliente Casino Palm Springs, right around the corner from the Convention Center and just three short blocks from the world famous Palm Canyon Drive. • Greater than 60 Days Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive 100% Refund of all Reservations Charges
• Greater than 48 Hours from Booking and Between 30 Days - 59 Days Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive a refund of all Reservations Charges (Except Booking Fee).
• Greater than 48 Hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 Days Prior to Arrival Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges (Except Booking Fee).

Great, relaxing stay

This is my second summer staying at this amazing condo. It has everything you need to relax and it’s a great location. The AC is crisp even on hot days and the pool is lovely and not crowded. Spent my mornings reading and drinking iced coffee at the pool, and then it’s a short walk to the main strip of Palm Springs with all the restaurants and party spots, but it’s far enough away to be very quiet too. Clean and comfortable. I hope to come back next year for a relaxing annual getaway.

I’ve stayed at this locations every spring/summer for the past five years. Fully stocked with anything you could need. I loved the large table to spread out and work at or the desk in the twin room with the view of the palm trees. I spend every morning by the pool - switching back and forth between the pools depending on what view I’m in the mood for. Perfect location - walking distance from downtown and a short ride from the airport.

I had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the Double Down Hideaway. The apartment is clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you need for a getaway. If you like cooking, the kitchen has everything you'd want. The property itself is extremely well kept (it looks like you're at a spa) and I spent each morning relaxing at the pool. The best way to start a day! Double Down Hideaway has a fantastic location. It's a few short blocks to downtown Palm Springs, where all the best restaurants, night life, and museums are. The airport is a 5 min drive away. You really wouldn't need a car if you're staying here, which is wonderful to not have to think about. But even though you're close to downtown, it's also super quiet in the apartment. You're close enough to walk to nightlife, but far enough to escape it. Highly recommend this property, do yourself a favor and book a stay here!

Palm Springs condo

Condo was extremely clean and looked just as depicted in photos. Was also well stocked with everything needed including bag of good coffee, pool noodles and towels, tennis rackets, etc. Location couldn’t be better - very close to downtown and Arenas street. 2 pools are very nice and other residents were very nice. Had some issues with entry gate to property but not a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again.

Property/site/locale/furnishings were terrific... but it was the little things that made it 5 of 5 stars. For instance, a bag of coffee upon arrival; high quality TP and paper towels (not cheap 1-ply stuff); an assortment of books, games, and even tennis rackets/balls to use; a comprehensive 'welcome' book' that really helped us acclimate to Palm Springs restaurants, shopping, activities. The ONLY drawback was TV hook-up with 'old' cable instead of full SmartTV access. Will definitely look for ACME hosted properties in the future!

Just what we needed!

This is a terrific spot for a get-away. The location between the convention center and the casino and a few short blocks to downtown PS is fantastic. You don't have to drive at all! The unit is perfectly maintained and has all the amenities. I really appreciated the large TV (with cable) and the high-speed internet. The grounds are also very clean and well maintained. The vib is very low-key and friendly with a mix of permanent, seasonal, and casual residents. I will definitely be back! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

The Double Down Hideaway was Perfect!

This was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a much needed sabbatical. This condo was perfectly outfitted; two bedrooms nicely decorated, two full baths, dining and living room, a washer and dryer (much needed), and a well equipped kitchen - oh, and a clean and working outdoor bar-b-que. The two pools and one hot tub were the perfect temperature, fun, and we made many friends. The weather was hot so we spent a lot of time under the pergola-ed filtered shade while still getting amazing tans. They also had a closet full of books, puzzles and pool toys. The location could not have been better; close to downtown where there are excellent restaurants and shopping, easy access to freeways, neighborhood approximate to museums, grocery shopping, gardens and best of all...Joshua Tree National Park and Idylwild. I couldn't have been more relaxed.

Location is perfect walking distance to all downtown and uptown dining/shops. Grounds are beautiful and super-well maintained. Pools are clean with quality furniture are great Mountain View’s. Unit is exactly as described and fully furnished with plenty of extra linens, pool/tennis gear, cookware/dishwater, and tv/stereo. TV is not “smart” so no streaming unless you bring a Roku, etc. Two decks are nice with great landscaping. Beds are very firm which we like. Highly recommend.

I hesitate to review this place only because it may cause it to be less available for us. Clean, bottom floor condo located RIGHT downtown. Parking is mere steps away from the front door. The pool and hot tub for the complex is inviting with a wonderful view of the San Jacintos.

A Needed Respite in a Beautiful Place

Overall Comment We have stayed here a few times now because we love the location, pools, tennis and beautiful grounds. We loved being able to walk to downtown where there are several excellent restaurants. We appreciated the spotlessly clean grill. Everyone was very respectful regarding wearing masks and social distancing. The place is always perfectly clean. The only suggestion is that the living room blinds are a bit challenging to operate. While the kitchen could use some updates, everything worked just fine.

Perfect Getaway

My son and I spent a week in this perfect condo. We were quarantining away from my husband who was working in a high risk area. We felt right at home! This rental had everything we could want and more. Fluffy clean duvet, fast internet (my son did distance learning) and a kitchen with everything you need to cook. We took walks to downtown, played a little tennis. We even ate some grapefruit from the tree off the balcony! We will be back after the quarantine!! Thank you for a perfect stay and keeping us safe.

Overall Comment This vacation rental was exceptionally nice. It was spotlessly clean with a well stocked kitchen. All the appliances were clean and in good working order. I wish my oven at home was that clean! There was a good variety of kitchen equipment which was all in good shape or in like new condition. The living space was very comfortable with a very nice decor. My only complaint would be that the laundry soap pods were very strongly scented. If you are sensitive to perfume, like I am, do not use the ones provided. I had to rewash my clothes in plain water to remove the strong perfumed smell that was left in my clothes. There were lots of excellent restaurants only a 10 minute walk away. Pomme Frites and Zin American Bistro were exceptional. The permanent residents that group by the larger pool were quite entertaining. If you want less "entertainment" the 2nd smaller pool is a better option. Lots of great hiking only a 10 minute drive away at Indian Canyons or Tahquitz Canyon.

Overall Comment This was our third time in this villa complex. This time we had a 2 bedroom home. It is a very nice home. Good are the beds, bathrooms bbq /outside area and kitchen appliances The lesser things are the seatings. The couch is getting old and uncomfortable. Also one of the chairs is not really a relaxing place to sit on. The house is close to the mean villa complex exit. And although it is nice to have no neighbors at front of you, you can hear very wel the cars on the street behind the wall. It didn’t bother us as much, but just want to share info. Our overall impressing was very possitive.

Overall Comment Everything you need for a nice getaway. The condo was extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen could use a little updating but it works and was well stocked. Walking distance to downtown Palm Springs with restaurants and shopping. Across the street from Casino. Very nice grounds and pool. We booked it again next year !

Overall Comment Double Down Hideaway at Plaza Villas was an ideal Spring Break location for our family of four. Nice master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite for the adults. A comfy 2nd bedroom for our two children with twin beds. Both bedrooms have access to a patio, ceiling fans, nice closet space, and sizeable dressers for clothes. The living/dining space was the perfect size for our family. The second bathroom worked well for our kids. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The patio grill was clean and functioned well. Our family appreciated and used the board games and very nice tennis rackets. Our kids loved the pools! There is a nice coffee shop a block away that we walked to every morning. We also walked into downtown almost every day. The location of this condo can't be beat; close to the airport and close to downtown! The Plaza Villas community is safe, quiet, and well maintained with orange and grapefruit trees galore. This was our first visit to Palm Springs and we hope to return soon!

Overall Comment This is Paul's wife. This was the best rental place we have stayed in our travels! The location was wonderful with the view and just a couple of blocks to walk downtown. The place was clean and better stocked than any we have stayed in. I highly recommend it!

Overall Comment Although the condo is in a great area, we found it very dark. Carpet in the bedroom needed to be cleaned. Had trouble with ants in the kitchen and had to buy a frying pan which we left in the condo. Dishes could be updated. We did rent again for next February but in a different condo and with a different agency. we had keys but did not know what they were for? Also, we could of used a card to be able to walk out the front gate on Amado,as our condo was right there.

Bliss in the Desert

This place is the best, inside and out! The Villa is a luxurious home from home where the good taste and care of the owners is apparent in the facilities and decor, down to the thoughtful extras such as a high quality stereo in the kitchen, its all there! Clean and spacious throughout there's even enough room to do a quick workout in front of the full length mirrors in the lounge with the air conditioning on full of course. The community itself is friendly and safe with a tempting tennis court but by far my favourite is the choice of swimming pools and jacuzzi - for relaxing or completing lengths. When you want to move off the complex its walkable to the town for the best ever milkshakes, fusion food, the casino and my other personal favourite the thursday eve market. If you want an amazing place with no hassles but plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy I would certainly recommend this one.

Convenient to Downtown

The property could not have been in a more convenient place. Parking was right around the corner from the entrance gate. It was very comfortable, the only problem was the twin mattresses need to be replaced (sagging).The king mattress was great!

Wonderful place

What is not to like about this place? Close to downtown (walkable in 5 minutes), two great pools, a tennis court and beautiful views on Mount Jacintho. The condo is plenty big enough and more, it has all the amenities and accessories you can ask for and is very quiet. It feels like you have your own garden too. Whole heartedly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!

Well-equipped with plenty of room for four adults, with 2 full baths and two patios. We didn't realize this was an end unit, and the outdoor spaces felt like our own private lawn. But for us the best feature was its location: we walked to the casino and all the downtown restaurants in the evenings, literally two blocks away.
