This classic 1956 pool home delivers the charm of a 1950s TV set—Father Knows Best meets The Dick Van Dyke Show—but with a laid-back California vibe and all the modern comforts you want in a luxury vacation home. Lots of space inside and out! Free-flowing floor plan including a large living room with a stacked-stone fireplace, a family dining room that easily fits 6–8, plus an all-season sunroom that opens up to the gorgeous private resort-style yard with heated pool, integrated spa, fire pit lounge, covered outdoor living pavilion, and stunning west-facing mountain views.

This home is named for the majestic Canary Island Date Palm Trees that tower over the lush and beautifully landscaped property. The owners use this home themselves often, so they have included all the essentials like high-speed internet access, 3 flat-screen televisions, very comfortable midcentury-inspired furnishings, and hotel-quality mattresses. This is a stylish yet livable, carefree home where you can put your feet up, relax, and not worry about a thing.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
Large sliding glass doors at the back of the sunroom reveal the resort-style pool yard and spectacular mountain views. The backyard is completely walled and gated for privacy. The recently upgraded sundrenched pool and spa are surrounded by chaise lounges, occasional seating, shade umbrellas, a fire pit lounge, and a covered outdoor living room. There is a gas barbecue and al fresco dining—perfect for poolside dinners “at home.”

** The pool will be heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. If you home has a spa or hot tub, heating the spa is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Retro-chic style meets comfort and convenience in this sprawling midcentury ranch home. The free-flow floor plan provides the perfect space for gathering as a group as well as slipping away for some alone time. The living room, dining area, and sunroom are all open to each other.

The two full bathrooms and the well-stocked kitchen are cool throwbacks—like well-preserved time capsules—styled in the popular post-war colors of 1956: pink, yellow, and blue. Stainless steel appliances mix beautifully with hand-carved and custom-painted cabinets.

A huge game room adds an entirely separate bonus space with comfy lounge seating, a ping pong table, and a new stereo cabinet. Don’t forget to bring your vinyl—the owners are big music fans.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
Both bedrooms feature king-sized beds, hotel-quality mattresses, ample storage, and flat-screen televisions. Each captures the nostalgic vibe of yesteryear with upholstered headboards and fluffy cloud-like bedding—perfect for long, restful mornings or quiet afternoon downtime.

The sunroom includes a comfortable napping sofa and Asian-inspired rice paper doors that can be closed for privacy.

Great home, exactly as described and located in an amazing neighborhood close to everything. The pool and spa were heated to perfect temperature (paid small additional fee for this as this is normal). Hosts were very fast to respond to requests. Highly recommend.

Our stay could not have gone better. The host was great, a very clear and simple checking in process. The house was exactly what we wanted, a combination of up to date features with a mid-century feel that was just right. The kitchen was well-equipped, the grill worked great, the pool was enjoyable, and the beds comfortable. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, with easy access to everything we wanted to see. The washer and drier are large and effective, we enjoyed playing ping pong in the game room, and the TVs worked well. We could not recommend this house more highly, it was one of our favorite stays.

The house is beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable. The outdoor area and the pool are fantastic. Everything is clean, well-maintained, and perfect for both families with kids and groups of adults. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe, and the location is great, close to supermarkets, restaurants, and downtown. The only downside was that the air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived. The heat was intense (over 100°F), and although communication with the host was quick, unfortunately the issue wasn’t fixed until the next day. This made our first day and night a bit uncomfortable due to the high temperatures. Luckily, once the AC was working, the house became cool and pleasant, and we were able to fully enjoy the rest of our stay. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home to other families.

The place is gorgeous and huge with amazing views from the pool. So relaxing for a quick get away from the city. The bathroom hot water faucet broken but still was able to balance the water. The cleaning fees and Airbnb fees a bit outrageous.

Our group of friends had a wonderful stay at this Palm Springs paradise. The property was clean and had great amenities. The host was very responsive via text, and they helped us figure out how to utilize many of the amenities listed. Felt very safe in the area, and the location is unmatched. The yard was incredible! Beautiful private pool and Jacuzzi heated really nice and warm. The yard was definitely the highlight. And there was Grass for my dog. She was so happy. The neighborhood was great for walking.

A good location for access to the greater Palm Springs area. 5 minutes to the airport and 1.4 miles to the main area of restaurants, shops and museums. The house is nothing fancy inside but very comfortable for staying in for a week. The backyard is where you really can enjoy your time. Private and very quiet for relaxing by the pool, hot tub, gas fire pit and a gas grill .
