The first and foremost of the museums operated by the Palm Springs Historical Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing the dynamic history of Palm Springs, is the McCallum Adobe. Built in 1884, this building is the oldest remaining building in Palm Springs. Within its walls, you’ll find all manner of exhibits that give visitors a peek into the past of Palm Springs, from permanent exhibits to rotating features.
