Your Palm Springs Fall Itinerary

Morning Coffee and a Sunrise Hike

Start your day the Palm Springs way—with a caffeine fix and something tasty from Koffi. (We’re partial to the iced mocha and overnight oats, but you do you.) Grab a bottle of water for the go and head to Tahquitz Canyon for a morning hike on the 2-mile Tahquitz Canyon Loop Trail, a crowd favorite. Your reward after the one-hour trek? Sweeping views and a beautiful waterfall.

Craving more time on the trails? Point your compass toward Joshua Tree National Park and spend the whole day soaking in the desert sunshine. With otherworldly rock formations and miles of hiking trails, it’s well worth the hour-long drive!

Botanical Gardens, Brunch, & Cocktails

Stroll through cacti-lined paths and desert blooms that look like they came straight from a storybook at Moorten Botanical Gardens. Afterward, roll into Farm for French-inspired brunch bliss. Think flaky croissants, Moroccan eggs, and a cocktail list that’s basically sunshine in a glass. Pair a lavender mimosa with a croque Madame and people-watch while you linger.

Shopping Galore

The Uptown Design District is just minutes away, with chic boutiques, mid-century modern furniture showrooms, and vintage finds. But why stop there? Wander down Palm Canyon Drive and check out more unique finds than your suitcase can handle. If you’re not into shopping, consider a spa day at Azure or Grounded Bodyworks, a bike tour, or a little poolside lounging. Those 80° temps = a chef’s kiss!

Hit a Museum and Festival

Spend the afternoon at the Palm Springs Art Museum, and explore everything from modern masterpieces to quirky rotating exhibits. If you’re in town on a Thursday, catch street performers, local art, and tasty bites at VillageFest. And for mid-October visitors, Modernism Week—October Preview is a can’t-miss event. With four days of mid-century home tours, design talks, and swoon-worthy architecture, it’s enough to make every fan geek out.

Dinner and Sunset Cocktails

The perfect ending to the perfect day? Start with the Garlic Knot or Beef Carpaccio at Birba. The shareable wood-fired pizzas and handmade pasta are legendary, and the twinkling patio lights and chill vibe make everyone feel right at home. Don’t skip the cocktails—they’re just as delicious! Afterward, head up to the rooftop at High Bar at the Kimpton Rowan for stunning desert views, inventive cocktails, and a chic Palm Springs crowd happy to toast you to a day well spent.
