Inside, large windows in the living area showcase beautiful views and flood the space with natural light. Unwind on the sofa bed and stream your favorite shows on the Roku TV. Prepare tasty meals in the well-equipped kitchen, detailed with stainless steel appliances. A wood stove with floor-to-ceiling stone surround provides a warm ambience in the dining area. When you're ready to eat, gather around the dining table. Your outdoor haven offers ample space to relax. Unwind in the hot tub or gather around the gas firepit to swap stories of your day's adventures. Absolutely beautiful stay! Wish I was able to stay longer to enjoy the hot tub, but sitting on the porch stargazing was wondering with a clear view of the valley. Bed is a bit firm if you’re not used to it, but once settled in it gets comfy! Would stay again when visiting Yucca Valley!

We could sit on this porch and stare at this view forever! We did use the hot tub but honestly just sitting on the porch in the swinging chairs was our favorite. As much as this property earned every bit of the 5 Star rating for us, it is not dog friendly. We love cactus but our dog, not so much and pieces of it are everywhere including the dreaded goat head stickers. We would absolutely come back but without the dog. We found the park and town convenient enough for everything we needed.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with unforgettable views, this is your spot. Just over a mile off the main road, a dirt road winds through beautiful landscape leading you up the hillside to this oasis. Very quiet, minus the pack of coyotes we heard during our stay. Close to Joshua Tree National Park and about a 30 minute drive to Palm Springs. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a quiet and cozy place to relax - this house is exactly what you need. This place fascinates with stunning landscapes, incredible starry sky, silence and fresh air. The house is very cozy and equipped with everything you need. On the territory of the house there is a hot tub and a cowboy pool. We didn't use the pool, but the hot tub under stars is something incredible. There is also a cozy place with a firepit near the house. There is a beautiful view of the sunset and the starry night sky. You will definitely not regret if you decide to spend your vacation in this wonderful place.

Serene and beautiful

We stayed with our dog for 5 nights. The stars were beautiful and the valley had far clear views. Secluded is correct, it was a very private location. The directions were clear to get to, and we arrived at midnight. The code we were given didn’t work but we quickly were able to contact the host and get another. The house was well equipped, there are many places to hang out, outside. The hanging swings, the lawn chairs by the fireplace, the patio, and the trailer with deck was a nice place to go in the afternoon. We didn’t use the cowboy pool because we should have swept out the red dust before we started and decided to stop filling it. The hot tub worked well. The only thing to be cautious of are the many cholla cactus around, the spines stick to your shoes then can track in the house. We got them stuck in our feet before realizing where they came from. Our dog got them in her paw and then her tongue when she tried to remove them. Be careful! The laundry room had a funny odd smell but you only spend a few minutes in there anyway. Kitchen could use more dishrags, mixing bowls, but I cook more than most people. Bed was comfortable, nice long table, comfortable couch. Limited storage for clothes and places to put stuff. Overall a beautiful property and we have lots of great memories. I would go back.

I mean this property is gorgeous just insanely beautiful. The propane tank was full so we could sit by the fire every morning drinking our coffee watching the morning birds move around. Make sure to read the instructions to get to the house via the trip manager and not the email. Make sure to arrive when it’s light out can be difficult to find.

We had a little trouble getting into the house with the codes and all but everyone was quick to pick up our calls and worked to figure out our issues. The views are beautiful, especially at night. It's quick, remote and just what we wanted. Be sure to read their instructions on how to get there. Your GPS will probably mess up the first time.

Location, location, location! My husband and I took our dogs here for the weekend and it is indeed down a dirt road a ways, but the most picturesque and private location. This place was beautiful and very private. There was some trash left behind in the trash bins outside. And was torn up from possibly wildlife. We had a visitor of some sort and my dog was very overprotective trying to scare it away which caused for an accident. We had to report it. But other than that we loved the hot tub and outdoors during the day !! I would recommend anyone looking to really get away for a bit to stay here . Beautiful views!!

We stay every year at different places in the high desert and this was the best we have ever been to. AMAZING view, private, and comfortable. Desert Noir is a dream! The house itself is cute and clean and very comfortable. Everything listed in the description was accurate. We truly felt like we were at home here and enjoyed our stay. The best part of our experience was the view! No words or pictures could ever describe the beauty of the area surrounding the house. Sunsets were magical! The house is far enough off the beaten path to enjoy the solitude of nature, yet close enough that getting to town and Joshua Tree National Park were easy. This place is a true gem. The views are absolutely stunning. Very private and neighbors are spaced very far apart. We picked a perfect time. The wildflowers were in full bloom and the weather was in the 70’s. A perfect get away from the city especially if you are planning to go to Joshua Tree. The bed was comfortable. It was tricky getting onto the highway from the dirt (Hoopa) road because the cars coming up the freeway are going full speed so be careful. Would come back to this place.

Came here for a birthday getaway for my boyfriend. Place was clean and in the perfect spot for us in the area since we were going to Joshua Tree. The house has the greatest views, peacefulness and privacy. It's sort of hidden up a hill but it was easy to access and to find once we figured out which direction we were going. We loved our stay!! We made good use of the kitchen and the fire pit outside was a nice way to wind down the day after hiking the park. Thank you again!!

Place was great. It’s in a private and secluded area which is awesome. very peaceful and quiet with amazing views. Just make sure to take the right car since you have to drive about a mile on a narrow unpaved dirt road to get to the house.

It was a beautiful stay in the desert. The house is very private about a mile or so off the highway up a secluded dirt road. Off road driving knowledge is suggested and bring the right kind of vehicle. We did just find in an awd sedan. The house is private and peaceful. Just as it is pictured in the listing. Being able to bring your pets is a huge plus as well. The house was left very clean and well equipped for general cooking. The bathroom and shower were really nice and unique. The hot tub worked well, nice way to spend the cold nights. Fire pit was kick ass and worked like a charm. The views are incredible and unique. We really enjoyed being off the road a bit and away from everything. Great heating and cooling control, central air. The house is homey and comfortable. A good size for a couple or small family. Tv and internet worked great no issues there. We were not doing any remote work though, just a little tv at night. Would be happy to return. Close to the park as well.

This place is magical! One of the most special places we have ever stayed. The owner put so much thought in to preparing this home. So many places to sit outside and enjoy the incredible views, including the cowboy pool and hot tub. The bed is comfy and the kitchen is stocked. I was a little afraid to do my workation here because other reviewers said they could not work due to WiFi issues… I actually was able to work remotely all week and I need good internet while I use my multiple screens. Seems like the WiFi upgrade worked and I was able to have an amazing time with no stress. This place is gorgeous and will totally stay again! I liked the dirt road leading up to the house it felt like an adventure. We made sure to use our Bronco and not our Honda accord. Will book again!

Relaxing, private, quiet getaway

Initially I thought I was going to knock off a star for my dealings with Turn Key (below) but the property more than made up for it. The view is outstanding; we thoroughly enjoyed and looked forward to our coffee and breakfast on the porch in the morning and then drinks watching the sun set from the hot tub in the evening. The landscaping and decorating are very well done and provide something interesting everywhere you look. The drive up from the highway is bumpy and rutted in places (I wouldn't want to take a sedan on those roads), making for slow going; due to this we really didn't want to make more than one trip in each direction every day so we made dinner at home instead of going out, but the remoteness and privacy and quiet was worth the trip. What I did not enjoy was being required to upload my driver's license to Turn Key via some random website with no privacy policy, description of how they'd use it, protect it, or how long they'd retain it. I understand wanting to verify the identity of the person renting your house but feel there must be some better way, like through VRBO who I would trust. I blacked out most information, including barcodes and such, and they accepted that. My other gripe is they could not verify if the property had a coffee machine (it does; a small Mr. Coffee and a knockoff Chemex with an electric kettle), a pretty basic amenity, and suggested that at least the property did have pots, like I'd boil water and steep my coffee like tea? But everything...

We found it easy to access Palm Springs, Yucca, and Pioneer Town from this location. Parking was never an issue. Lots of fun restaurants and sites nearby. The ability to only access the home from one particular dirt road had it's complications... but in the end, we got very used to it. The house is gorgeous and the amities on site are a lot of fun. I would happily visit again!

This place is absolutely amazing and pictures don’t quite do the justice to the beauty we’ve seen. Thoughtful touches throughout and very nicely decorated. The only thing worth pointing out is that internet connection isn’t very reliable, and we had to cut our stay short due to my work and not having steady connection. BUT, this is a perfect place for off the grid getaway and we hope to come back again soon to stay longer, with no work commitments:)

Solitary high desert getaway

My husband and I and our two small dogs stayed at Desert Noir for five nights in January. It was wonderfully remote, exactly as described, and very well managed. We couldn’t open the patio sliders initially, but it was extremely easy to get the issue resolved by texting with the property management company. (They sent a handy person over the same day while we were out, and when we got back the door had been fixed and no mess was left behind.) A word of warning: the dirt road that leads from Route 62 to Wo Wanka Trail is not graded very well, so be prepared! And one suggestion for the homeowners: please add some hooks and towel bars. Neither of these issues detracted from our stay enough to deduct a star, and we would happily stay here again.

GORGEOUS! The house is a perfect vibe and the valley is absolutely breathtaking. We came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect secluded retreat, close to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree. There is an unpaved road, so if you’re getting a rental get something with all wheel drive and you’ll be fine. The sunsets are incredible and the house is very cozy, will definitely book a trip here again!

Sublime Seclusion

My husband and I were in town for a wedding, and this was the perfect little home base for us. The location is very secluded and private, with beautiful views of the mountains, but still just a short drive to town. The house is very well styled with a perfect balance of desert chic meets comfort. The hot tub was warm and ready to go upon our arrival. The only note for other guests is that it is a bumpy dirt road getting from the highway to the house, so I would recommend having a vehicle that can handle rugged terrain. Can’t wait to come back and watch for shooting stars again!

A funky, cool desert oasis

This property is right out of a movie set. It's in a beautiful and remote location in Yucca Valley. The house and setting are lovely, tucked away in the desert. It was somewhat difficult to access and our GPS and directions didn't match so we were lost on back roads in the desert but eventually found our way with the help of Turnkey Properties customer service. It was definitely worth finding though! A beautiful home with many places to enjoy the views on the patio and deck. The property has a cowboy pool, a hot tub and a gas fire table, all of which we enjoyed. More explicit directions are needed on the property listing however on how to drain the cowboy pool and turn off the hot tub motor when finished. I tried to do both and couldn't and customer service was unable to help when I contacted them. We left before dawn the next morning, so I hope Turnkey Properties was able to handle the check out instructions.

Wow!!! I have rented over 20 amazing houses in the Joshua tree area over the last 10 years & this place is my favorite thus far!!! It’s all about the location… I love a place that is isolated but this place truly is isolated and the landscape is absolutely stunning!!! The house is perfectly remodeled and very nice!! New everything, so well done. The bed is comfortable! All the sitting areas on the property are Rad and the views behind and all around are so gorgeous! We walked all around behind the property & watched the sunset & then the full moon rise. It was magical. Watching the sunset over that beautiful mountain range every night w/ the fire was epic and the hot tub is brand new and the outdoor shower is wonderful… This place literally has everything you would need & then some…..it’s amazing. And, it’s truly perched on it’s own hilltop at the end of the road… I cannot wait to return!!! :-) !!!! What a Gem!! Thank you so much for having us!! So Much Love!!! ~Jillian

Booking & Cancellation Policies

All reservations require a valid photo ID and a signed rental contract.

Short-Term Stays (28 nights or less):

• 100% Refund: Cancel within 48 hours of booking.
• 60+ Days Before Arrival: 100% refund of all charges.
• 30–59 Days Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.
• 8–29 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of all charges except the booking fee. Booking fee not refunded. 
• 7 Days or Less Before Arrival: No refund.

Long-Term Stays (29 nights or longer):

• 6+ Months Before Arrival: 100% refund.
• 91 Days–6 Months Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.
• 60–91 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of rent and other fees refunded. Booking fee not refunded. 
• 60 Days or Less Before Arrival: No refund of rent or booking fee; other fees refunded.
