You get what you pay for. We needed a place to sleep for the weekend on a buys hiking vacation. The house had a bedroom for each of us, and the pool was an added bonus; however, we got back late both nights and didn't go in. Thanks for the old school DirecTV! We watched both Dodgers games, and a Lakers game.

Our group of 4 people spent a 4 day weekend in Palm Springs as our yearly golf trip. It's usually drinking with a little golf mixed in. We rented this spot knowing it backed up to a fairway. Beautiful views of the tee box to your right, the green to the left and mountains directly in front of you. This location was perfect for us. Spacious, clean and close to restaurants & grocery stores. The house was well equipped like the listing states. We never found ourselves "without" anything. The pool was nice and cool after each round of golf. The absolute only drawback would be the city noise ordinance. No outdoor noise after 10pm. That includes music and casual talking. Luckily, we aren't a loud bunch so it didn't really bother us too bad. We would've loved music by the pool, though. Oh....this apparantly doesn't apply to the neighbors dog. It barked all night....was super cute though. I would definitely recommend this spot for anyone visiting the Palm Springs area. Thanks for having us :)

LOVED. This house was great for our family of four. We didn't want to leave! We hoped to stay an extra night but the rate spike due to Coachella prohibited us from rationalizing it. Pictures really represented it well. Charming home with some upgrades. I love the era so appreciated the old tile, and original features. Bedrooms were spacious, with dressers and closets. Only thing that the bedrooms need are better window treatments to block light and privacy - you can see in when room lights are on at night. Plenty of bath towels, pool towels, kitchen well equipped with cutlery, baking pans, platters, pots, plates for both indoors/outdoors. Gas fireplace was lovely for ambiance. Outdoor BBQ worked pretty well - looked new. Pool was crystal clear, hot tub too (pool guy came to adjust the tub jets - both gentlemen who stopped by were very friendly and helpful). House sits back from the middle of hole 6 fairway of the Tahquiz Legend course, and we watched golfers - from time to time you would hear a thump of ball but we felt safe with trees :) View is amazing of hills and so relaxing to star gaze and enjoy the sunsets. Tons of seating around yard/pool and under porch. Loved the big picture windows looking outside from dining room. Dogs nextdoor did bark a little, mostly to protect their house from golfers looking for stray balls along houselines; we didn't wander near the fence line to cause them to bark. We had a great stay over Spring Break! The weather was perfect, the pool was sparkling and clean, the beds are SO comfy, and it's located about 10 minutes from downtown PS. Also nearby is a Vons, right across the street, which was very convenient to replenish drinks and snacks. We can't wait to return!

We LOVED staying here! It felt like a home away from home. There are plenty of personal touches, and the decor just screams vacay vibes! It's mid century modern, and Palm Springs perfection. It's close to downtown so we could shop and eat. It's also right on the golf course so not just a beautiful view, but you are ready to go 18 rounds right around the corner! We loved our stay and can't wait to go back!

This mid-century designed beauty had all the amenities and perks we needed for a quick getaway. My family thoroughly enjoyed the pool and spa, ping-pong table, and board games. After a full day of lounging by the pool overlooking the gorgeous mountain views, we came inside and relaxed by the fireplace playing board games and catching up on some quality family time. Shooting Star was well maintained and fully stocked. We will not hesitate to book this property again if we come back to Palm Springs. ~ Serina

We had a fantastic stay in Palm Springs at the Shooting Star. By the time we had spent a couple of days there, it felt like home from home with all the amenities, comfy beds, towels inside and outside in great condition and of course the beautiful pool. Our two kids aged 7 and 8 absolutely loved it too. We enjoyed the retro decor. We would definitely stay there again.

Shooting Star is the perfect place to stay! Has everything you need and most likely anything you may have forgotten. A home away from home. The location was perfect for what we needed and the views are just amazing!! Waking up in the master bedroom to beautiful mountian views that are breathtaking. Loved walking out to the grapefruit tree every morning to pick sweet grapefruits for fresh juice for breakfast. My daughter loved the pool, ping pong table, games and our nightly S'mores at the fire pit every night. The rooms were comfortable and everything was very clean. Highly reccomend staying at the Shooting Star and I know we will be back for more fun in the sun at our home away from home. Thank you for the amazing getaway!

Would rent here again if you have a small group looking for a getaway and some peace. I would not reccomend for a larger group due to the limit on cars and outdoor music rules. Otherwise, it was affordable, had everything I needed, and super modern and clean! My only suggestion is please update the oven. So many towels, thank you!

Our family had a wonderful vacation here. The kids enjoyed the pool and the ping pong table. And everyone enjoyed just sitting outside looking out at the beautiful scenery. The kitchen has everything you would need. We would love to return.

Delightful,restful & invigorating! Obviously the view is magnificent..seeing those mountains daily was amazing with the added bonus of seeing the gold course which created space. We especially loved seeing the humming bird going to and fro, building it’s nest and tucked in sleeping every night in it’s nest which it built on party string nights under the covered porch! Lots of birds, bunnies & fruit trees …nature… So incredible…

The house was even better than described. Clean and spacious, loved the open floor plan, beautiful views, huge windows, comfortable beds. Location was quiet and peaceful and less than 15 mins to downtown Palm Springs. We will definitely be going back.

We absolutely loved this house for our long weekend getaway! The pool was heated (request it at least 48 hours in advance) and the views are amazing.! The home is decorated so cute and stylish! The beds are really comfortable and there's plenty of chaise lounges and seating outside to relax. The only downfall is it is in a neighborhood with a noise ordinance which means no outside music at all. Otherwise, we will definitely be back and stay in our Mid-Century Modern favorite!!

We had a great time on our stay. The golf course makes for a picturesque and serene backdrop to the pool. Location is close to downtown Palm Springs and the airport - very convenient. Lots of common space - it fit 6 of us very comfortably. Want to come back already!

This home was beautifully decorated inside and out! Honestly, the photos of the view outside in the listing don’t do it justice. The view was absolutely stunning! The place was professionally cleaned and had all of the items you would need for your stay. I highly recommend this place for a nice relaxing getaway weekend.

Covid19 impacted our vacation plans to "Shooting Star". We had to cancel our trip on the day we were suppose to check in. Vacations' communication was timely and prompt. However, we did not get to stay with them.
