This Palm Springs vacation home (circa 1951) has been completely walled for privacy, totally remodeled and reimagined for the way we live today. Everything has been updated including the kitchen, baths, windows, doors, electrical, plumbing, heat and air conditioning. Enjoy hi speed internet access, premium cable service, four flat screen televisions and very comfortable furnishings. This is more than just a beautiful home - it is a well-planned paradise in the sun that captures the easy, relaxed Southern California vibe. Beds: K,Q,Q

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
The completely walled back yard was designed with recreation in mind….play horse shoes, badminton and ladder ball. The inground saltwater pool has an integrated spa and tanning shelf. It also has six pool-side chaises. The covered outdoor living pavilion offers plenty of lounging area, al fresco dining for six, and a gas barbecue. The entire property has been landscaped in natural desert fashion and offers both sundrenched and shaded areas. Perfect for poolside afternoons, dining al fresco and long evenings under the stars. Be sure to leave time for a late night spa or cozy around the fire pit beneath the magical desert skies.

** The pool will be heated to 83 degrees upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. Spa heating is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
This bright and fun desert property has been space planned for holiday hanging with your entire group as well as private moments alone for curling up with a good book or just enjoying some quiet downtime. The spacious living room has a 55” flat screen TV for binge watching your favorite shows. There is interior dining and a new kitchen with gleaming quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances including a gas stove.

** The term "Pets Allowed” or “Pets Accepted" at an ACME House Company vacation rental means that we welcome dogs only. No other pets are allowed. **

SLEEPING QUARTERS
All of the bedrooms have been designed for rest and relaxation. Perfect for sleeping as well as slipping away from the rest of the group. All have been appointed with flat screen televisions, ample storage and comfortable beds. The master bedroom has a king sized bed, and direct pool access. The two queen guest rooms share a bath. The layout of the sleeping quarters really works well.

THE LOCATION
San Lucas Hideout is tucked away on a quiet residential street in the Tahquitz River Estates Neighborhood. Take a leisurely stroll to the South Palm Springs Business District. This really is the ideal location for those who want to be close to everything.

Direct Bookings on www.acmehouseco.com or Via Phone* for stays of 28 days or less:

100% Refund for Cancellations within 48 Hours of Making Booking.
30 days or more prior to the Arrival date, ACME House Company will process a 100% refund of all Reservation Charges, except the Booking Fee. 
Greater than 48 hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 days prior to arrival, guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges, except Booking Fee.
7 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of All Reservation Charges are considered earned.

Great Location, Quiet Neighborhood

My husband and I (and our dog) were at the San Lucas Hideaway for a working vacation. The house was very clean, comfortable, in a great location and in a super quiet neighborhood. It was easy to get to restaurants in the evenings, walk from the house, or drive to nearby hikes in the mountains. There is so much to do in Palm Springs, we wish we had more time to enjoy the area rather than work! The backyard, pool, spa and birds were lovely!

San Lucas Hideout was just as advertised. Stayed there for four nights and wish it was 14. The house was extremely well stocked with kitchen utensils etc. even the drawers weee all labeled so virtually no searching. High quality appliances etc. house was very clean comfy and roomy and the back yard and pool were perfect. Almost all of our time was spent there. Great neighbourhood , close to good restaurants and entertainment Would highly recommend this Hideout I will be back

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful home.. We cooked every meal in the well equipped kitchen and stayed by the pool until dark. I paid extra for the pool and hot tub to be heated and the pump malfunctioned and wasn’t working.. but other than that one thing.. it was a wonderful trip.. We plan to go back to Palm Springs for an extended stay In December..

Amazing Getaway

What a wonderful Palm Springs getaway! It’s beautifully decorated, very clean, and every little detail in the house was well thought out (stocked spices, detergent, coffee, kitchen/laundry supplies, etc.) The pool and hot tub were spacious, night lighting was cool, and plenty of floats and toys for adults and kids. Outdoor space in general was large with tons of games. The house is also very close to the downtown strip/restaurants (5 min drive). ACME did a superb job with communicating check in details prior to the trip, texting during our trip to ensure we were taken care of, and even finding and returning a forgotten pair of sunglasses we left behind! This is a great stay for friends or a family with young kids. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the San Lucas Hideout. It was obvious that the owners had read recent feedback and upgraded outdoor furniture that had experienced some wear and tear. The entire place was spotless and had everything we needed to enjoy all that Palm Springs had to offer. The location was close to downtown as well as the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway which I would highly recommend. Their attention to detail was greatly appreciated and defiantly will book again when we head to Palm Springs in the near future.

Paradise in the desert

Lovely pool, great outdoor seating. Lovely master suite. Efficient kitchen and house layout. Court for games was not great. Badminton net not 'regulation'. Birdies were shot. A suggestion for a boule set might be more suitable. The surface might be good for that. We mostly read in the shade or played board games or coloring. Needed a break from sun, so that worked out well. Do use desert baby rentals for crib, high chair, etc. very good service.

Had a great weeklong stay. ACME was a great management company; very responsive and lots of amenities at the house. We would definitely rent from them again. There were more than enough extra towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc. The pool was very nice and what a fantastic location! Just minutes from downtown! Kitchen has everything you need to serve meals and make fun poolside drinks. While the furniture was very stylish and looked great, it wasn’t very comfortable. With that said, we spent most of our time in the pool chairs, which had ample shade with the multiple umbrellas.

Overall Comment Rented out the house for five days with some friends and my dog (who is an ESA) and the process was incredibly easy. Check-in was a breeze and we got right to lounging and grilling. They provided options for extra sanitation, and even left a few masks for us to use. There are plenty of directions for operating the property. We struggled with the jacuzzi at times, but eventually it worked and gave us the necessary warmth we were looking for. The property was clean and spacious. The outside was beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves to the max. We did Uber to downtown one day, but Uber took forever, so make sure you call early if you need to be somewhere on time. Other than that, we are already talking about planning a trip back. Thank you ACME for making this process painless and allowing us the opportunity to kick back and relax.

Overall Comment The property was as described - comfortable and close to downtown palm springs. Home, yard and pool were extremely well maintained. Kitchen was adequately stocked with cooking basics. Acme was very responsive to our inquires and concerns - they were pleasure to deal with. We would happily use Acme again.

Peaceful getaway

Overall Comment My husband and I had a quiet and restful week at the San Lucas Hideout. The location is great. The house was quiet. We were just two in the house so there was plenty of room. The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are quite small however. House has decent amenities - we like to cook and found the basics covered, but short on some utensils etc. The kitchen is pretty small, so if cooking is your thing, that's something to consider. Bathrooms were modern and clean. Pool was very sunny all day and truly lovely. Seems a little larger than it is in the pictures, but it did the job. Mountain views were delightful. Overall a solid Palm Springs option, but lacking in the flair, style and luxe factor of some of the other properties available in the area. We were looking to hide out, and it certainly lived up to its name in that respect.

Overall Comment Had a great stay. Very responsive staff when our fan was malfunctioning. Would have appreciated full size bottles of shampoo and conditioner. Sample sizes were not enough and we didn’t feel like shopping while on vacation. From previous experience of booking more expensive properties multiple shampoos were always provided.

Spring Break Haven

We stayed here with our 3 and 6 year old over spring break and had a wonderful time! The house is fabulous and has absolutely everything including outdoor BBQ. Its location is very central (a 5-minute drive to everywhere) but also located away from the airport - we never heard any planes. The private backyard is so peaceful with a mountain view and the pool is fantastic. Our kids learned to swim here thanks to the perfect water (saltwater pool no eye stings from chlorine), and the shallow beach pad, which even has a spot for a shade umbrella! We also loved the system to heat and cool the hot tub quickly to any temperature, that made it easy to let kids enjoy it at lower temps, then heat it up for the adults in a few minutes. Excellent big shaded patio (with awning fans) for outdoor dining. House has a great flow with the kitchen next to the pool and patio. All the house instructions were very clear and even the switches and remotes were labeled - that really helped. Acme was very responsive to special requests for early-check in and any questions. Be sure to do the quick hour drive up to Joshua Tree - it is a really unique landscape and a perfect day trip. We'll definitely come back!

Perfect Palm Springs Retreat!

While the home was impeccable, the secluded and private backyard may be the best part with amazing mountain views. The house was located minutes from the airport and downtown Palm Springs. Located on a quiet street. This is a fantastic vacation home and one that I will definitely return to enjoy during my next extended stay in Palm Springs.
