The living room offers an HDTV, fireplace, and plenty of seating for watching movies or entertaining your guests for cocktails. Or you can move the conversation out back through the french doors to the garden patio, complete with an outdoor bar and poolside fire pit with a great sunset mountain view. While outside you'll enjoy being surrounded by lots of lush landscaping, mature banana, tangelo, and lemon trees, and a large inviting saltwater swimming pool with a nine-foot deep end, all situated on a generous and private 10,000 square foot lot! On warm days you'll enjoy plenty of shade from the sun under the huge olive tree that is the focus of this backyard oasis. This tree was planted when the house was built in 1954! Back inside, also circa the 1950s and 60s, both bathrooms feature original green or pink porcelain tile and have been modernized with fun and vibrant wallpaper that is sure to make you smile. Nearby, there are two private and comfortable bedrooms to retreat to. The front bedroom offers an HDTV and a private patio with access to the backyard and beautiful mountain views. The en suite bedroom also has an HDTV, plus a quiet office area and a private bathroom, with direct access to the pool patio. The kitchen has been updated with stainless steel appliances and a coffee station to start your day properly. And the adjacent dining room and bar area will help wind down your day properly! Absolute perfection

This house has one of the most gorgeous outdoor areas imaginable! Beautifully shaded with many comfortable areas to sit, laze, swim or sun. The owners have outfitted the house with every possible convenience. A coffee station, a fabulous stove, spices galore, SHARP knives and lush bedding. It’s all here. The location along the river walk couldn’t be more inviting. The vistas spectacular! I miss it already!

Little slice of heaven

This home and grounds are even more beautiful than pictured. In terms of decor, the owners have a wonderful eye and have taken care of every detail. All furnishings--indoor and out--are tasteful and well-maintained. Kitchen fully equipped, and then some. Backyard pool is perfect and the yard offers tons of different spaces for sun and shade. Really, it deserves a 6th star.

Wonderful property

We had a great stay during Memorial Day weekend. The property is beautifully landscaped, it is indeed an oasis! Dog-friendly, people friendly, and impeccable. One small thing—the overhead light in the main bedroom did not work. Not important but I thought you might want to know. Everyone enjoyed the whimsical 60s prints as well as the vintage French posters. We look forward to returning at some point.

Perfect Palm Springs vacation home

The owners created a wonderful place to relax in Palm Springs. We loved that there just as many sunny areas as shady areas to relax on the property. Everything inside was clean and the amenities were great. We would stay here anytime we come back.

This home is a dream to stay in. We listened to 50s music the entire week to feel the vibe of our surroundings. The openness and natural flow from indoor to outdoor living makes the home feel larger than it is. There is nothing for want from the kitchen to the pool. I can't wait to stay here again.

Exceeded Expectations

We've stayed in a lot of P.S. homes, but this one is unmatched. Great fun to stay in a home that reflects thoughtful concern for every little detail. Landscaping and interior decor especially impressive. Only glitch for us was miscommunication between VRBO, from whom we thought we were renting, and Vacasa, who actually administered the rental. (That's why the 2 stars for communication w/ property mgr.)

Great location with walking path in front of home. Beautiful backyard that is fenced so our dog was able to explore when we were relaxing by the pool. We enjoyed the artwork and vintage collections on display. Thanks Oliver for the dog treats and wine:)

We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The house is a beautiful example of mid-century architecture, the entrance is inviting, design choices for the interior are just right for the period, the amenities abound, the kitchen is well stocked, the pool is gorgeous, the plantings are lovely...we absolutely loved it. Prior to arrival it was a bit difficult to communicate through Vacasa, but once we arrived the local crew was accessible and responsive. The owners have given a lot of thought to what makes a welcome respite.

Oliver's Oasis is a comfortable yet stylish place to stay in Palm Springs and I would consider returning again! Communication with Vacasa was great, even though there were a few minor issues, they responded right away and remedied things. Yes, it is an old property, and things might be a little wonky, so knowing that ahead of time helps. We loved all of the details and communication throughout the rental, we found it very helpful. Location is fantastic, I enjoyed the walks along the path outside a few of the mornings and always felt safe where we were located. Very close to downtown Palm Springs and all it has to offer! Loved this place, thank you!!

What a lovely home! Every inch of the house was covered in charm and great detail. It felt like stepping into Dean Martin's personal retreat. The backyard is stunning and HUGE. Our dogs were in heaven. A fully stocked kitchen that included spices/condiments/coffee/pots/pans and they even had a turkey roasting pan for us upon arrival. Super personalized experience. My only complaint is that the check-in process wasn't super streamlined, which can often happen when working with a larger company. Would absolutely stay again.

The bathrooms were definitely vintage and original. The outside was definitely an oasis. We will likely reserve next year. We stayed for two weeks and it really was a relaxing home. Downtown is only a few minute drive as well as the airport and groceries. We loved it!

This is the best house we’ve ever rented in Palm Springs! Gorgeous inside and out; exactly as pictured. Oliver and his parents were so welcoming- they left some treats for our pups and some sparkling water and rosé! The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, coffee and other essentials, which is helpful. They also included toiletries like shampoo and conditioner which I’ve noticed many airbnbs do not. It’s the small things for me! The backyard was perfect for us and our pups. Lots of sitting areas and shaded spots, immaculate astroturf lawn and a perfectly sized pool. The temperate was perfect (unheated) in July for both day and evening swims. We did have an issue with smelling gas from the fire pit area(we didn’t use it), but Vacasa sent someone out to look at it a few hours after we reported it. Vacasa communication prior to check in can be frustrating as you can get conflicting info between texts, emails and calls, but everyone I personally spoke with was helpful and nice.

We loved our stay at Oliver’s Oasis! It was perfect for our family and our dog (a Boston Terrier). The pool was perfect, and our kids loved the hammock and fire pit. The layout of the house was great for a relaxing stay, and we loved the quintessential Palm Springs decor! Everything was amazing - including the location. We definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again!

This was one of the best Airbnb experiences my husband and I (and our dog) have ever had. We've stayed at many Airbnbs that *feel* like Airbnbs, but this feels like a home. There are so many thoughtful touches (a fully stocked spice cabinet, labels, a welcoming note and gift, just to name a few) and the house itself has so much character and is clearly lovingly cared for. The backyard is incredible -- truly an oasis. And when it got very hot during the day there was always a place to find shade. We hope to return soon!

A True Oasis

(This is Mrs. Hood) I read a lot of reviews before seeing this property, and it seemed like there should be a catch. It looked so fun! The reality was even better. I could go on about the yard; trust me it's wonderful. So green. The hosts are super generous with everything one would need and even more. We had a welcome note with wine and baked treats for our Frenchie, Ani. They had lots of suggestions for things to do (for us there was no reason to leave the lush green backyard 'oasis' with mountain views). Ani was in heaven bouncing around and exploring the enclosed yard. Plenty of pool toys and yard games. The home is adorable and full of fun art, glassware, and other interesting pieces. The owners left several books on local architecture my husband thoroughly enjoyed. If you visit in cooler weather there's board games, a nice fireplace, etc. The neighborhood is quiet and only the occasional car drives by because of the location. The front faces a dry riverbed so it has an open view. The beds are super comfy too. All the wifi and TV worked great. Just a darling home and we'll be back if it's still available in the future. Thank you so much for making the visit beyond special. Hated to leave!

What a GORGEOUS home. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you will count it among the best and most beautiful homes in which you have stayed, I am sure. It is inviting, comfortable, full of creature comforts, classy, impeccably decorated, relaxing -- just truly stellar. It is perfectly located in Palm Springs, has an absolutely amazing outdoor space and pool, and is truly a mid-century modern jewel. The best of the best! we had a fantastic time at this airbnb. the house was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need. the pool was great. the location is excellent. we were able to jog around the dry riverbed that was just outside our door. we walked to "opera in the park". could have biked to the downtown area (maybe next time) there were a lot of agreements, waivers, and indemnities that we had to sign. we had to provide a drivers license and do a video chat with the manager. a lot of these hoops are caused by the city of Palm Springs but not all of them. this was the only negative I experienced with this property. we had a small issue with the door lock and the owners of the property bought us pizza, appetizers, and dessert even though it wasn't a big deal at all. this was really appreciated and it was nice to be able to meet the people that decorated and furnished the home. this is an excellent place to stay and well worth the money. also, fyi, in april at least, the extra $72/day+tax is worth it to heat the pool, especially if you have kids.

Good Vibes Only

This location has everything. We were fortunate to have warm weather and use the marvelous pool. We spent most of our time enjoying the backyard, which is gorgeous. We felt safe and secure at this house. The neighborhood is a walk away from shopping centers, downtown and within 10 minutes of many golf courses. Strongly suggest the use of the list things-to-so in the binder. All amazing suggestions. We even used the book which had a self-guided tour of Palm Springs, it took us four days but it was educational and so much fun. Amazing stay with friends at this marvelous location. Location is outstanding, safe and very close to all major arteries and even within walking distance from downtown. Thank you, Oliver for letting us stay in your digs.

This is one of those rare properties that is better than described. The owners have thought of everything to make the guests comfortable- good mattresses, high thread count sheets, every possible kitchen implement, great TV service, instructions for the remotes — you name it. On top of that, the home is lovely. I especially loved the art and the yard. I hope to return and can recommend it unreservedly.

Beautiful Retreat

The photos don’t come close to showcasing how lovely this Palm Springs home truly is. From the breathtaking front lawn views to the relaxing backyard haven, this property is a gem not to be missed. I have stayed in luxury hotels and rentals throughout the world and can honestly say that this spot is one of my favorites to date. The owners have out so many thoughtful touches in every corner to make staying here feel like home, it’s tough to leave. Imagine all possible comfort amenities + luxury bedding, appliances, furnishings, art and so much more. Hummingbirds flock to the backyard each morning where lemon trees and flowering hedges line a spectacular pool area. The owners think of everything- from laundry needs to coffee. It would be paradise in any location- but the close proximity to the most beloved spots in Palm Springs makes this ‘oasis’ exactly that and more. It’s a Four Seasons hotel suite combined with an all inclusive island resort landscape. You can’t go wrong booking this one-of-a-kind haven!!

One of the best Air bnb’s we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many!! The house is perfect, I would move in full time tomorrow if I could and our 2 Frenchie’s absolutely agree!! The garden is spectacular and dog friendly and very safe. The kitchen is extremely well appointed and has EVERYTHING! The owners are so kind and considerate even leaving treats and a card for our dogs and wine for us. Everything is labelled and super easy to find. The bed was so comfortable. The fireplace was so cozy. I cannot wait to return!!!! Absolutely heaven!!!!
