House Rules

  • No Music is allowed outside of the rental home (at any volume)
  • Parking is restricted to 1 car per bedroom in designated parking spaces.
  • Pets are not allowed in Non-Pet Friendly Properties
  • Please do not exceed the max occupancy of the home
  • All rentals require state and county tax plus additional required fees
  • Damage waiver covers renter for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property. If the damage protection is declined, an additional $5,000 security deposit is required
  • The pool is heated upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival.

Reservations booked within 72 hours of arrival require additional verification to provide identity and avoid fraudulent bookings including live video chats with staff members that are recorded.

CANCELLATION/REFUND For Short-Term Stays (28 nights or longer)

Direct Bookings on www.acmehouseco.com or Via Phone* for stays of 28 days or less:

100% Refund for Cancellations within 48 Hours of Making Booking.
30 days or more prior to the Arrival date, ACME House Company will process a 100% refund of all Reservation Charges, except the Booking Fee. 
Greater than 48 hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 days prior to arrival, guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges, except Booking Fee.
7 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of All Reservation Charges are considered earned.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY For Long-Term Stays (29 nights or longer)

Direct Bookings on www.acmehouseco.com or Via Phone* for stays of 29 nights or longer:

Greater Than 6 Months Prior to Arrival - ACME House Company will process a 100% refund for cancellations that are more than 6 months prior to the Arrival date.
Greater than 91 Days and less than 6 Months Prior to Arrival - ACME House Company will process a 100% refund of all Reservation Charges, except the Booking Fee. 
Greater Than 60 Days but Less Than 91 Days Prior to Arrival - Guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of the Reservation Charges and Booking Fee. All other costs and fees are refunded, including cleaning fees, security deposit, and any utility fees. Any special services ordered that cannot be canceled in time to receive a refund will also not be refunded.
60 Days or Less From Arrival - 100% of All Reservation Charges are considered earned. All other costs and fees are refunded, including cleaning fees, security deposit, and any

We really enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the House of Light! It was gorgeous inside! It was the perfect size for our group of 8 people (4 families). The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of silverware, plates, and utensils for our size group - and lots of room of multiple cooks and lots of chairs for the dining table. The outdoor area was fantastic. We spent lots of time around the fire table and we used the grill as well. We also enjoyed the pool and hot tub in December! The host was very proactive in their communication with all the details we needed. Our only caveat was that all beds were very firm, which wasn't preferable for most of our families. Probably due to the modern look and it being a fairly new rental. The indoor couches and chairs were also not the most comfortable for extended sitting, but acceptable. We would have loved a television on the lower level, but we were so busy it wasn't generally an issue. We definitely would rent from Acme again.

There was only two TVs in the whole house and there’s no instruction on how to use them so we had to call maintenance to come over to try and figure out. How do use the TVs which they didn’t have an idea. So yeah. Eventually, we were able to muddle through and figure out how to use the TVs Big drawback
