This classic Meiselman (circa 1959) has been lovingly restored - respecting its architectural pedigree while updating it for the way we live today. The original open concept floor plan, post and beam ceilings, and walls of glass have been preserved while adding modern conveniences like high speed internet access, updated heating and cooling, and flat screen televisions.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
This property captures the magic of Southern California glamour. Fresh, current and on trend with a subtle understated elegance. The backyard itself is a slice of heaven. Completely walled and gated for privacy… secluded, spacious and well-planned. The inground pool is gorgeous with its soft-blue surface and integrated spa. Comfortable chaise loungers, upholstered outdoor sofas and a covered dining pavilion are perfect for lazy days by the pool and long evenings under the stars. You’ll also find an amazing firepit chat area for warming up during those cool desert nights. Please note the misting system is not for guest use.

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
Gorgeous in its simplicity, as Mr. Meiselman and his architects intended, you’ll find clean lines, an open concept floor plan and spectacular walls of glass that let the light pour in and reveal a stunning resort-style backyard. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other - providing enough space for your entire group to gather, relax and enjoy.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
All of the bedrooms feature comfortable hotel-quality mattresses and ample storage. The primary suite offers a king-sized bed, an en suite bath, and direct access to an outdoor courtyard with direct pool access. There are two guest rooms - one King and the other with two twin beds that can be converted into a King upon request. Both guest rooms share easy access to a full bathroom in the hallway.

THE LOCATION
Racquet Club Estates is a very popular residential neighborhood that is close to the airport, convention center, and casino. It is a walking neighborhood located less than a mile from the world-famous Palm Canyon Drive with its fantastic restaurants, clubs, art galleries, shopping, cabarets and nightlife! Grocery stores, casual restaurants, coffee places and other neighborhood conveniences are also very close by.

100% Refund for Cancellations within 48 Hours of Making Booking.
30 days or more prior to the Arrival date, ACME House Company will process a 100% refund of all Reservation Charges, except the Booking Fee. 
Greater than 48 hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 days prior to arrival, guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges, except Booking Fee.
7 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of All Reservation Charges are considered earned.

The home is exactly as pictured and was great for our needs. Extremely well-equipped kitchen and grill and we ended up cooking many of our meals at home, which we aren’t often able to do when traveling. The yard area is fantastic, the pool and hot tub worked perfectly and the mountain views were great. Acme Management was responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely stay there again!

My wife and I and my Bernadoodle stayed at Happy Hour House from 13-27 Feb 2024. We came out for Modernism Show. The house was wonderful, neighborhood great and we had a wonderful stay. The pictures clearly depict what a wonderful place this is. I stay in lots of VRBOs and this was one of the best. If you are looking for beautiful property, great location, well appointed kitchen, and wonderful yard with pool, fire pit, jacuzzi, outdoor furniture and great ambiance, this is it.

Loved the location of this house. Super close to downtown. Really loved the pool & hot tub. Salt water was very nice. Decor was a little bland, mostly white but it had everything we needed. One bedroom is right off of the dining/living room, little unusual. Kids complained of a weird smell in their bath & would have been nice to have plastic cups for the pool area.

Palm Springs getaway

Happy Hour was a great house for our family. Everything was as described or better in terms of the house itself; we loved the pool and hot tub with the mountain view in particular. But what set this apart from other VRBO experiences was the property management by Acme. They checked in several times, responded immediately when we needed another blender (I guess we like our smoothies too thick??), and were above-and-beyond accommodating. We very much enjoyed our time there and if/when we stay in the area again, we would absolutely rent another ACME property.

The Happy Hour house and property were well maintained. It is within a short driving distance of downtown Palm Springs and is in a very quiet neighborhood, mainly due to noise ordinance I'm sure. It was disappointing to not be able to have music while enjoying the pool and fire pit. We also did not care for the rain head shower heads as they seem to have lower water pressure. Overall, the house did not disappoint and the ACME staff were always quick to respond to my text messages. Check-in and out could not have been easier.

Very Relaxing & Good Location

We stayed here during part of our "baby moon" and the property did not disappoint. It's very clean inside, has great amenities, and is close proximity to downtown. There was a hiccup with the pool & spa, which are controlled by an app, but the management company was good about rectifying. For us, it was not a big deal as we were just looking to decompress and have a place to relax, but I would definitely recommend reading the Palm Springs rental rules/policies, which apparently apply to any homeowner renting their property out in Palm Springs (e.g, no outdoor music at any level, noise that can be heard from property lines during certain times, etc.). It was our first stay in the area, and admittedly, I glossed over that as part of the rental. I imagine it all depends on who the neighbors are as far as how it's enforced, but if you're looking to have a group of people hanging outdoors or cannot deal with not being able to listen to music by the pool or fire pits via anything but headphones, it may be worth asking some follow-up questions to any management company or owner to make sure you fully understand what's allowed and what's not!!

Our second time here

We love this house! It feels like everything has been very well-thought out of what a guest may need. Everything is in good order and condition too. We did have two problems on this past stay however - our entry code did not work upon arrival (however they got us in with a new code within 20 minutes). The tvs were a bit cumbersome and only worked 70% of the time. My recommendation would be to streamline all 4 tvs and use the same remote for each. Other than that we enjoyed a our second stay a lot.

We have stayed in several properties over the years in Palm Springs. This house has the best yard set up I've seen. We enjoyed the pool everyday along with the BB-Q and comfortable seating for everybody. Quiet neighborhood. The inside of the house has a nice layout with the master away from the other bedrooms. Well equipped galley kitchen with a back door to the BB-Q. Overall very happy with this home.

The "Happy Hour" house should be renamed Utopia . . . my friend and I truly enjoyed our 4 weeks at your property. The amenities (Pool, spa, outdoor living space) were excellent. We stayed at Happy Hour in January 2022. It was a perfect house for rest and relaxation. The neighborhood is quiet yet close to the Palm Springs scene. Perfect family getaway during the pandemic

We really wanted to getaway from the Bay Area during the pandemic. We got tired of seeing the same 4 walls. This home was the perfect getaway. It was so relaxing. The home was clean and roomy for the 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids). The backyard was huge!! We spent days in the pool or in the house watching the Olympics. We had a couple of hiccups with the oven and dishwasher. The property management team was responsive and fixed the issues within a couple of hours. We would definitely return to the property again and recommend it to friends.

What a gorgeous property. It exceeded our expectations and we wanted to extend our stay. Tons to do here, both indoors and out. Even the teenagers loved it and were off their electronics, busy playing games. We cooked every night and were really pleased with how well stocked it was, which is a rarity with rentals. Also loved that the bedrooms had desks in them as the kids still had school in the mornings. Truly, not a single complaint; is a fantastic property.

Overall Comment We had an outstanding stay at the Happy Hour House! The facilities were perfect, big pool with jacuzzi, fire pit, lounge chairs looking at the mountains, outdoor sofa, and a covered table outside for meals and work. The inside was modern and very nice and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!

Amazing place; beautiful, clean property and had pretty much everything we needed to enjoy the stay. Perfect place for an extended weekend getaway. Very happy. Would rent again. One slight hiccup, the property management app for Acme misses a critical step in the check-in process, check-in code for the outside gate/door: not provided in the app. Had to call Acme. Smooth that out and it’s 5 Stars all day!

Overall Comment This place is beautiful! It looks even better than in the pictures. This house is ideal if u plan to spend your time outside. It has a beautiful pool but also other zones to grill or sit by a fire or lounge. There are a lot of different areas in the very large and very private yard. It also has an amazing view of the mountains. The house itself is also beautiful, well maintained and the kitchen is very nicely stocked with any pan or utensil you may need. Location is amazing. 5-10 minute walk to Arrive hotel and the Main Street. I can’t wait to stay Here again!

Overall Comment Amazing vacation property. Appointed beautifully and thoughtfully inside as well as outside. AS much as I enjoy finding my way around Palm Springs , this house was so relaxing that I wanted to just sit outside on one of the couches and read. Overall Comment We really enjoyed our stay here. Such an incredible property and it truly had everything we needed to enjoy our stay with minimal outings. The concierge service was excellent and instructions were clear. I will say that it did get quite hot at night which did interrupt our normal sleeping patterns. Maybe providing a few oscillating fans would have been a HUGE relief and some much needed added circulation since the AC can't be lowered past 74 degrees. Aside from that, we truly loved our stay and had a very relaxing peaceful getaway from our busy LA lives.

Absolute Delight!

The Happy Hour is an absolutely delight. The sunset views across from the pool over looking the mountain are better in person than any picture can capture. The space was stylish, modern, incredibly clean, thoughtful, spacious and the beds were just a dream. ACME property management was very communicative and there should anything be needed although we didn't need them at all after check in. The Happy Hour is also very conveniently located to the main strip of Palm Springs so it is a short drive/uber ride to places. If you can stand the heat the Cartel Coffee Shop could be a walk and recommend you check it out during your stay. Would definitely come back.

Wonderful Vacation House

Heated pool and spa was terrific and came with 2 nice floats. It faces south with lovely mountain view. House is not large but is well-equipped and very well-organized. Walled outdoor space is a bit bigger than expected and has areas divided into various functions: barbecue, lounge chairs, lawn, dining and firepit. Management company provided pleasant crew for pool cleaning, garbage pickup, etc. and responded promptly to questions. House furnished in a pleasant fashion, easy to keep clean -- we're sure to return!
