Glass & Steel House - Modern PS Luxury

I highly recommend Glass & Steel House. The location was a great balance between privacy, peace, and being in walking distance to the main drag. The kitchen was well-equipped with high-quality dishes, pans, utensils, and coffee maker. The pool was fantastic (yay for heated pool, even in the warm months), and overall the property was immaculately clean. We loved being able to give my parents the separate primary suite.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely return! The backyard and pool were so relaxing and the indoor outdoor feel of the house and yard was unbeatable. House was also located in a wonderful area. One block from a great park with tennis courts and not too far from downtown. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful with the questions we had as we were getting situated in the house. Highly recommend!

Location was perfect! We brought our bikes and could ride downtown and elsewhere. Pool and hot tub were super nice to relax in. View was great and home all around was superb!

This home was gorgeous and just as described! Gives you the Palm Springs retro artsy feel with modern touches. Such an experience and really felt like a true Palm Springs getaway. Home was fully equipped with everything and super clean. This home is very well put together from the exterior to the interior. The architecture to landscaping was impeccable. So private and close to downtown Palm Springs and not too far from Palm Desert. Pool and Jacuzzi were the highlight. Everything was very easy to use and so accessible. Acme House Company was very responsive and helpful with my entire stay. I would highly recommend staying here and using Acme House Company. I would definitely stay at the Glass and Steel house again and can’t wait to browse more of Acme’s beautiful stays. Acme House Company truly helped make my 30th Birthday memorable.

If you're looking for a traditional Cape Cod house, this is it. The house is comfortable, with 4 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bathrooms. This is the second time staying at this property. The selling point for me is the dog friendly policy. We are familiar with the neighborhood, with family living in the neighborhood for decades. Town Neck Beach had a spectacular makeover, and our walk there is minutes away. This was a fantastic vacation and I hope to stay here again next year. Thank you.

The house is located a block east of Ruth Hardy Park with amazing views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The neighborhood is quiet and a pleasant walk to North Palm Canyon Drive. The landscaping on the property is beautiful, with tall grasses and cacti, citrus trees, and ficus hedging for privacy. The property is well-lit at night. There are plenty of chaise lounges and chairs and outdoor dining areas. The pool, spa, and fire pit are incredible; the design is ideal. The pool also features a sun ledge for two chaises and umbrellas and a 3 unit waterfall, which is tranquil while enjoying the outdoors. The living space is ideal for relaxing and enjoying one's time, and the kitchen is appointed well. The interior is furnished with some nice mid-century reproductions and suits the home. There is plenty of mod-woodwork cabinetry, and the bathrooms are spacious with walk-in showers. Overall, this home is definitely a refurbishing of someone's architectural creation: glass and steel reminiscent of Alcoa's carefree aluminum homes of the 1950s, which I considered a privilege to have spent my sojourn in Palm Springs. I would like to see a bit of TLC in some areas (sun fading, etc.), but overall, it is a lovely home.

Great place. Up scale vibes. It’s a place to entertain, but also has very very very strict rules about sound. I get palm spings is leaning towards older residents, but they beat you to death with noise warnings…Essentially no music outside is recommended. When you have a house laid out to entertain its hard to adhere to this. Was just me and my daughter this trip, so wasn’t a huge concern, but I if brought 3 couples I might check other spots.. what wrong with having music by the pool at 1pm? Anyway. Great spot, cute, cozy, well stocked. Great landscape. The many noise warnings( written, posted, etc) where off putting is all. I would come back though.

Stayed at the Glass snd Steel House in Movie Colony - beautiful home, perfect for my husband, myself our 15 year old twins and Maltese, and perfect location walking distance to downtown Palm Springs and Ruth Hardy Park for twins to play basketball. The home was open and airy, great views of the mountains, inviting pool (heated) and spa, and well appointed details throughout the home - from the artwork, sound/entertainment system, and well stocked kitchen allowing me to make our traditional Christmas morning monkeybread! We definitely all felt right at home and could have stayed there much longer but alas reality called! The bottle of wine and bag of coffee the Acne staff gifted us upon our arrival was such a nice touch and added warm welcome to our arrival. We will definitely stay at Glass and Steel House again on a future visit to the desert.

We have rented Glass And Steel twice now. It is a beautiful home in a wonderful location. Acme does an excellent job with any questions concerns or possibly an overlooked detail. The furnishings are comfortable, the linens and towels luxurious, location quiet, views exquisite! Various electronics were upgraded this year to make operations simpler.

Property was very private, quiet and relaxing. A little funky but that’s ok for Palm Springs. We didn’t care for the plastic martini glasses and the broken shaker was an issue but we bought inexpensive replacements and all was well. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This is truly a great home -- very clean, modern interior with a great pool and outdoor area. The location is ideal as well -- one block from Ruth Hardy Park and ~10 minutes walking to Palm Canyon Drive. The bathrooms were large and well appointed, and the beds were very comfortable. I am already looking forward to staying there again!

We were inundated with warnings to not make any noise outside or you could be evicted without warning. Playing music outside is prohibited at all times. We are a quiet family with 2 young girls. We ended up shushing our kids throughout our stay even though they were just having fun in the pool. This put a bit of a damper on our stay.

Pool is amazing. Location is great. Very good service through ACME. Home was very clean! Had a bit of trouble with the TV systems but they sent someone to help right away. (Recommend adding the sports package to the cable package as the TV did not have ESPN.). Adding a few more poolside friendly drinking cups would be great, and a pillow topper for the beds. Otherwise awesome!

We had a great experience at Glass and Steel. The place is clean and a really nice layout. The pool and outdoor space are incredible. ACME was very helpful when a glass table broke and sent someone to clean it up within an hour. The only negatives are the pillows were flimsy and the queen beds were too small. My BF and I are 6"2 and need a king bed.

Overall Comment When we arrived we found the house had not been cleaned after the last renters stay! That being said,we contacted Acme and they arrived within the hour with a full on cleaning crew and pool guys. They did an excellent job and we were settled in very quickly. Acme checked back with us during our stay and even sent us a nice wine basket. The home is fantastic and upscale. We loved the design and amenities. Hoping we all can rent this place again. Overall Comment The pictures definitely don’t do this one justice. We had an amazing time and truly enjoyed pretty much everything about this house and the design. We loved the industrial and unconventional design features, along with the way it was styled to soften everything up and make it work really well. The enclave provides great shelter from wind and sun, and privacy. The hammock was a true delight and a wonderful way to watch the stars, or take a nap. We were one couple, with two adults, and everyone had plenty of space and privacy. The only feedback we’d give is it would be nice to have a King sized bed in the casitas. As a couple, we were a bit cramped in the Queen. The fire feature also felt slightly unsafe and would be an easy upgrade. And the internet service is pretty bad. But none of this should take away from how amazing this place is.

We loved our stay here. Being picky, the wifi wasn't functional about 75% of the time, the separate third bedroom didn't work for us because we have kids (trust me - it would be amazing to leave them in the house overnight without us but I'm afraid that would get us in trouble!), and I wish they would ditch the single use plastic toiletries. But aside from that, the process for checking in and communication was informative and organized, the house itself was very clean, the pool was enjoyable, grill worked great, outdoor areas were lovely... we had a wonderful time!

There are lots of details that made the stay special, from the dedicated ice machine, to the tanning shelf in the pool, and outdoor showers. The casita was perfect and private. The outdoor space was great for every hour of the day and evening, with a gorgeous mountain view. The neighbour is very quiet and convenient to everything. The house was very nicely appointed, bright, well furnished and comfortable. The Casita was also a great standalone suite, perfect and private. The outdoor area and pool was amazing. Lots of sitting areas, chairs, tables and BBQ and fire pit. All the instructions for the house and pool were easy to understand and operate. Acme did a great job of working with us on the details for accessing the house, working through minor issues and making themselves available to us.

Overall Comment We had a great time, the house had everything we needed, spacious bathrooms, easy to get into the property with gate lock and key box. The mattresses, especially in the master bedroom could be a little bigger for couples and the explanation to get the Sonos equipment running was missing. The rest was perfect and really enjoyable. Kitchen was equipped and we had fun cooking and barbecuing.

We have been renting homes in Palm Springs, twice a year, for years now. And I can honestly say this home has the best pool and outdoor area we've ever experienced. From the lip, to the water feature, to the grounds, and the view. Just spectacular! The house itself is great. The only thing we didn't like is that the master bedroom is the casita and cut off from the rest of the house. But honestly, that's nit-picking. It's a beautiful home and like I said... wow. The pool!

Glass and Steel House did not disappoint and actually exceeded our expectations. It is very well appointed. We went over the Thanksgiving weekend and got all the goodies at a nearby Jensen's grocery store to make a full holiday dinner. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots and pans, serving dishes and all the cooking utensils you would need to make a Turkey feast. We has a few minor issues that required a phone call and they sent someone over within 15 minutes both times to make sure we were good to go. The location was fantastic. It was very close to downtown by Lyft or Uber and it was a very safe neighborhood.

The house was immaculate and very well equipped for a family of 4 (and easily up to 6). The house was nice and cool during our mid-July stay and the private pool was a wonderful retreat from the hot sun. We stayed for 5 nights with our two kids (12, 9) which felt like the perfect length of time for a Palm Springs getaway. We were worried about the heat, but the AC and pool made all the difference. The way the pool is situated, there is usually at least a portion that is shaded for most of the day so it's not hard to escape the sun if that's what you want. The property management team was very responsive. We reported one issue with our pool and they had someone out immediately to address it. Our concierge was helpful in directing us to some of the local restaurants and attractions. Overall Comment Our stay in the Glass and Steel House was amazing, we simply couldn't ask for more. The house was immaculate and very well equipped for a family of 4 (and easily up to 6). The house was nice and cool during our mid-July stay and the private pool was a wonderful retreat from the hot sun. We stayed for 5 nights with our two kids (12, 9) which felt like the perfect length of time for a Palm Springs getaway. We were worried about the heat, but the AC and pool made all the difference. The way the pool is situated, there is usually at least a portion that is shaded for most of the day so it's not hard to escape the sun if that's what you want. The property management team was very responsive. We reported one issue with our pool and they had someone out immediately to address it. Our concierge was helpful in directing us to some of the local restaurants and attractions. And the house is just a 5 minute drive from Palm Canyon with a great selection of shops, bars and restaurants. I highly recommend El Jefe if you enjoy Mexican food. We ate there twice it was so good. Overall Comment Ease of booking and communication excellent - the app made it easy. Excellent kitchen amenities- bonus ice machine. High-end towels and bedding. Ability to control pool and spa temperature made the trip. Beautiful exterior lighting and mature landscaping. Don't skip the AV orientation - the system is complicated. Would have given 5 stars but for the interruptions - the pool guys twice (right during peak pool time) and gardeners who showed up unannounced at the bathroom windows (awkward). Also know the City of Palm Springs has very strict noice ordinances - no music outside and no noise after 10. Overall, lovely home and great location walking distance to downtown.

I just returned from a long weekend vacation with 5 friends at the Glass and Steel House 2012. It is truly an amazing vacation rental because as soon as you arrive you feel you are on vacation. We ended up not going out much because the home was such a wonderful and relaxing retreat. It is very comfortable for cooking, grilling out, laying by the pool, having a slumber party and watching movies. It has a gorgeous view and impressive interior design. The kitchen has everything you need and comes stocked with spices, teas, oil, cooking essentials, etc... Cannot say enough about what a peaceful and gorgeous place it is.

Awesome location, perfect set-up for two couples & a 20-something. Three blocks or so from Robolights - a must see during the holidays. We went twice!! Pool and spa were the best--used them morning and night even in the cool air. I recommend a bit more updated documentation for operating all the gadgets in the home. Would definitely recommend this place.

This house was a great choice because we liked the area it was located in, and the modern look of the house. The outdoor area was our favorite part. The pool area was great morning, noon and night! Very comfortable. Biggest surprise was how quiet the neighborhood was. We were there when it was extremely hot (110-120) and the house stayed nice and cool. Was a good place to retreat when not in the pool.

This was a wonderful house -- perfect for us. My husband is ill and this was a family gathering and a relaxing time for us. Everything was wonderful -- set up, beach towels, everything we could have thought of -- including salt and pepper. Really enjoyed the interesting and attractive house and pool. Best part was the care free relaxing environment including the water feature. The amenities in the house and the wonderful pool added to the relaxing environment.

We stayed here in July, and between the pool and the AC, we stayed relaxed and cool. I have stayed in quite a few rentals, and I must say this is by far the best rental I have ever stayed in! Everything was clean and new. Great technology throughout the home and back yard. We have already booked another stay at this location.

I cannot say enough about this property - it was wonderful. I find that I am often unpleasantly surprised at the difference between pictures and what a vacation property actually looks like. Not so in this case! The home was gorgeous and so beautifully decorated (while being very comfortable at the same time). And the outdoor space was even more amazing. Between the pool, hot tub, fire pit, numerous outdoor seating areas, and the hammock - you will find that the only downside is that you will not want to leave. I would stay here every time I come to Palm Springs. Highly recommended!

I came here in November with friends and family and it was just the perfect getaway home. Close to town, in a lovely neighborhood, with views of the mountains, and an amazing pool. There is tons of seating and sleeping room, and everything is modern, clean, and stylish (if that matters to you!). Special shoutout to the pool float that looks like a unicorn. I'd highly rec this!

This house is beautiful, and everything looks brand new. The interior is very well decorated and very comfortable, but the real attraction for us was the outdoor space. We hung out in the pool or on the patio most of the time, even at night. It's such a comfortable and inviting space. And the location close to town is very convenient. Love my stay, I want to move in!

Our vacation was in full swing within minutes of our arrival at this cozy, well appointed home. In short, this place is awesome! Each bedroom was perfectly comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. The pool is so inviting and the fireplace outside was a lovely place to congregate with a glass of wine. Should you want to adventure off the property, there are fantastic restaurants a short walk away. I look forward to staying here again very soon!

Spent a weekend here with a group of friends and had the best time ever! Glass and Steel is your very own Palm Springs compound. Everything about it is top notch! The house is absolutely immaculate. The decor, furniture, and amenities were on point! Anything you can think of this place has.The outside area is pristine. Plenty of places to lounge and sit around the pool. A comfy hammock when you need some shade. Pool, hot tub and fire pit, what more can you ask for? I highly recommend the Glass and Steel property for any vacation, stay cation, weekend with friends/family etc.. This is the home you want to rent when heading to Palm Springs!

ACME House Co. provided us with great, efficient service, and likely the only rental company we'll use when traveling to the area. We are interested in being a vacation home owner, and wanted to test the experience. When there was an issue, we liked how fast and effective your team was in handling it.
