Welcome to Alexander Sunrise, a beautifully updated, Mid Mod Vacation Home Rental with that swank Palm Springs vibe. Great central location close to everything. The inside of the property has been completely updated for the way we live today - there's even a brand-new casita - yet honors the home's iconic architecture, preserving its clean lines, authentic post and beam ceilings, open concept floor plan and walls of glass that blur the lines between indoor-outdoor living. The private resort-style yard features a saltwater pool with a tanning shelf and waterfall spa. There's also a covered outdoor dining pavilion, a gas BBQ grill, and an outdoor living area with a fire pit lounge, plus gorgeous mountain views. Alexander Sunrise is the type of vacation home that was made for simply relaxing in Palm Springs.

OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
The fabulous pool yard features a saltwater pool with a tanning deck and a sitting bench that runs the entire length of the pool, plus a waterfall spa. The pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas, an alfresco dining pavilion, a gas BBQ grill, and a fire pit lounge - perfect for gathering around and taking in the fabulous mountain views.

** The pool will be heated to 83 degrees upon request with an additional service fee. Please let us know if you'd like to heat the pool so we can ensure it is heated before your arrival. Spa heating is included with your rental at no extra cost **

INDOOR LIVING SPACES
This classic midcentury home has the hip Palm Springs vibe of yesteryear while feeling very next century at the same time. Walls of glass let the light pour in, revealing the sun-drenched pool yard. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other - providing enough space for your entire group to gather, relax and enjoy. Everything has been reimagined for the way we live today with high speed internet, flatscreen TVs, and upgraded heating and cooling systems.

SLEEPING QUARTERS
All of the bedrooms feature comfortable hotel-quality mattresses, ample storage, and a flatscreen television. The Primary Bedroom offers a King bed, ensuite bath, and direct access to the pool yard. The two Queen guest rooms share easy access to the bathroom in the hallway - you’ll love the rainfall showerhead!

There is also a separate casita in the backyard with a King bed, a living area, and a bathroom with a gorgeous bathroom with a double sink and a rainfall showerhead.

THE LOCATION
Alexander Sunrise is located in Sunrise Park - a Palm Springs neighborhood studded with classic mid mod homes. Here, you'll be centrally located, just minutes from restaurants, night spots, burger joints, sandwich shops, grocery stores and all the fun of Palm Canyon Drive. The Spa Resort Casino, Palm Springs Convention Center and Ruth Hardy Park are also close by, and the Farmer’s Market (held every Saturday morning) is just a quick stroll away.

  • Damage waiver covers renter for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the property. If the damage protection is declined, an additional $5,000 security deposit is required

Reservations booked within 72 hours of arrival require additional verification to provide identity and avoid fraudulent bookings including live video chats with staff members that are recorded.

Direct Bookings on www.acmehouseco.com or Via Phone* for stays of 28 days or less:

  • 100% Refund for Cancellations within 48 Hours of Making Booking. 
  • 30 days or more prior to the Arrival date, ACME House Company will process a 100% refund of all Reservation Charges, except the Booking Fee. 
  • Greater than 48 hours from Booking and between 8 & 29 days prior to arrival, guests will receive a partial refund of 50% of all Reservation Charges, except Booking Fee.
  • 7 days or less prior to arrival, 100% of All Reservation Charges are considered earned.

We stayed at Alexander sunrise in Palm Springs for a 21st birthday, 3 nights. The location was great as it was near downtown so Ubers were inexpensive. The property was clean and had a lot of amenities. The kitchen was extremely small, but had all of the accoutrements one needs in a kitchen. It was unfortunate that it was so small as we had planned to cook several meals. The pool had a lot of debris and a film on top so we called to have it serviced and someone was out same day. The casita was very nice and appeared newer than the main house. The ac unit was very loud and there were tree trimmers next door at 7:30 am on a Saturday so there was no sleeping in. Overall our experience with acme went very well, but we probably would not choose this location again.

Fantastic house

The home is exactly as pictured. Beautiful and idyllic with a perfectly maintained pool and hot tub. All of the amenities worked as they should, and the house had more than enough supplies for the whole group. The only thing of note is that there is major construction occurring at two of the nearby homes and very loud construction noise begins as early as 7am. It was a little difficult to relax by the pool while jackhammering and other very noisy activities are occurring. Not the fault of the property owner but irritating nonetheless.

Perfect Mid Century Fun

The house was a perfect Palm Springs Mid Century Home on the desert. The interior design was perfectly thought out. They stocked everything down to the shampoos. There is a true Primary retreat with an updated bathroom, seating area and breakfast bar or it can be a guest house for multiple families who come. Plenty of cookware and dinnerware. Backyard pool with the Baja Shelf is perfect to lounge in the hot desert sun to cool off. We will definitely stay here when we come back. Location to downtown Palm Springs, is a quick 2 min drive.

This place was great (Alexander Sunrise). Nice 3 bedroom home with a 4th bedroom in a casita. I was worried about the 4th bedroom and it was the nicest of them all! Very nice, clean and as advertised. Only had one problem - a shower drain was clogged and they came and fixed it the same day. Amazing service. Wish I could have stayed for longer. Will use them again if I go to Palm Springs.

There were a few housekeeping issues that we contacted the management company about and the were VERY responsive and accommodating. They even left a nice bottle of wine for our birthday guest. This house was a complete delight. It was the most well-equipped vacation home I've ever stayed in. The kitchen had everything we needed from a blender to a sharp knife to a full set of measuring cups. It was perfect. If I had to nitpick, I would ask for a couple of oscillating fans to keep the air moving at night since there are no ceiling fans.

Very well-appointed home with everything one needs. Despite the seemingly small square footage, the house is quite spacious. The backyard is large with a nice pool and spa (had some maintenance issues easily resolvable) with additional unusable yard space (suggest horse shoe game or more covered patio). Great house that is fun for family vacation!

Overall Comment The house and location were great. The pool was awesome and we spent all day in the pool when we could. The spa was a great addition too because it rained a few days on our trip. Having two children with us we valued a clean house and it met our expectations of this. Even proper dusting had been done around baseboards etc! Would definitely stay here again. Our biggest complaint was the roof of our house. Every time it rained ( I’m talking torrential downpour) whatever had been painted on the roof would fall off and be right outside the patio door leading to the pool. It was annoying because it was like walking on little sharp pebbles and was hard to sweep up. We even saw it in the bottom of the pool. I’m sure this is something that could be remedied though and like I said if it hadn’t rained a bunch we would have never noticed that.
