This home was just what we need for our family of for for a weekend gettaway. Parents had the large master and children had a large 2 bed room across the hall. There was additional room on the first floor near a beautiful wooden bathroom. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed. Games for kids and a beautiful back patio. We loved it here and will definitely be back.

The process of renting was pure magic from start to finish. The owner was so helpful with check in and always answered our questions quickly. The house is so charming and cozy. You can really tell a lot of care goes into this place. The deck has the most gorgeous view and our pups loved the yard and property. The beds are insanely comfortable! And there are tons of cozy blankets and pillows. The kitchen is well stocked and there is an ice machine!!! So fun for making drinks. There is also tons of comfy seat

My friends and I stayed at the rising sun house and had a great time. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen had everything we could ever need. We grilled out on the deck and propane was provided. Walking down to the grass valley lake was great to hangout and it was a super quick and easy trip into town. Highly recommend staying here as this house will not let you down.

We had such a great stay! The home is even better than the pictures - the primary bedroom is absolutely STUNNING (and the upstairs mattresses are so so comfy). The shower head is a little wonky but other than that everything was perfect. We felt so at home and had a wonderful time.

This was such a needed break from the hustle and bustle of the big city. The home is beautifully furnished, and stocked with all manner of thoughtful amenities often not found in other vacation homes. The ice-cream maker with simplified instructions encouraging guests to use it made for a really fun evening of coming up with the perfect ice cream flavor! Looking forward to booking this cabin again!

We didn't want to leave!! We spent 4 glorious days and nights enjoying this beautiful home. Everything was just like in the photos! We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary with two other couples and enjoyed the cozy fireplace at night, lots of delicious home-cooked meals in the well-appointed kitchen, played lots of games, drank coffee on the balcony overlooking gorgeous mountain trees while inhaling fresh air and the fragrant incense cedar trees, bird-watched and enjoyed lots of laughs over some glasses of wine. Everyone agreed that their beds were very comfortable at the end of the day, too. Rachel, of Vacasa, was easy to get hold of when I forgot to bring home all of my haircare items! We left on Monday morning, and by Wednesday afternoon, she had made sure my belongings were back home with me! I appreciate this very much! This is a gem of a home and experience and managed well by Vacasa; we will definitely be back! Thank you!

Place was really fun the only problem that this rental was relayed to vancasa very difficult to communicate with. I had just checked out and realized we forgot personal belongings they would not allow us to go back in. That i would have to rent or pay money to have personal belongings to be sent to us. I was really dissapointed with Van Casa first time using them and last time.

Great stay, super amazing house. Very clean, beautiful views. The only thing is when we got there the driveway and entrance was not plowed, so we had to call Vacasa to sort it out, but they were extremely responsive and got right to it. Thanks for the amazing stay!

It was so cozy! Great spot to relax with family and friends. They had a lot of amenities for our dog. The kitchen is also fully loaded, you don’t really need to bring your own kitchenware! I think every room should have their own portable heater and humidifier. Sometimes, it got too hot in some specific rooms and it got too stuffy, we had to open the windows. We also wish they had more paper towels because we ended up having to buy more rolls. Asides from that, this place is great and looks better in person than in pictures!

The place was awesome and had a ton of games and things to do in the house. The decor was super cozy and made us feel right at home. Lots of stuff to do in the surrounding areas as well. Highly recommend renting!!

My job is very stressful. I needed a break and some peace and quiet. When I saw the House of the Rising Sun I thought it was perfect. That was an understatement! The cabin was in a great location. It was cozy and had many small details that made it super personal. There was a coffee station (loved) and an ice cream station! I made homemade peach honey ice cream. I sat on the patio and looked at the beautiful sky. The bed was so comfortable and the air was amazing. My spirit was renewed!

Our family had a wonderful time! The place was beautiful and spacious! Close to Arrowhead Village and many other amenities. We loved being able to hang out and watch Christmas movies and make meals.. We did a day drive to Big Bear and a great hike nearby the house.

This house was even better than I expected! Everything was clean and more than enough supplies in the house for 6 people. The house has an outdoorsy cabin feel and its even better than the pictures. Beautiful location and nearby Lake Gregory was awesome and super convenient. I was very sad to leave this place! We would definitely come back for future vacations.

This house is even better in person. It has a cabin-y feel and nice decor. It worked really well with 2 adults, 2 kids, 1 dog. Self check-in was a breeze. There is a side area with a bench to take your dog outside to. The TV worked great and is large. The kitchen is clean and is modern. We bought stuff we needed at the store. The top deck is awesome to look out over the treetops (fir, pine, cedar and oak!) and watch the chipmunks who live in the tree next to the deck. The cabin feels secluded, but is not far from amenities. It is close to Bluejay Village with Jensen's Market which also has a Starbucks and gourmet-type items, if you're into that. Also, close enough to Arrowhead Village, where we finally found the Stater Bros. ha ha

Wonderful home! It was very clean and exactly like in the pictures, with a beautiful view. They had complementary toiletries, enough fresh towels and linen and food and water bowls for our dog. The screen sliding was broken so we weren’t able to enjoy the fresh air without keeping the bugs out, but other than that everything was great! Would definitely stay here again.

This is a perfect cabin for a getaway. It is peaceful and quiet. There are lots of “extra” amenities in the cabin. The place is very clean and well kept. There are a lot of stairs to go down to the cabin from where you park. It shows a BBQ in the pics but you can’t use it for some reason. Don’t plan on bringing food to BBQ. The kitchen is great and stove and microwave work good.

My family of 7 loved this home for our winter stay! The house was very clean, decorated with the comfortable cabin feel we were looking for and was so close to everything! If there had been enough snow during our stay, there would have been perfect little sledding hills on property, which is a huge plus for families with children. The views are beautiful from the deck.
