Enjoy a large “chef’s kitchen” or grill outside taking in the magnificent scenery. Swim in the sparkling pool, soak in the spa, or simply nap on the outdoor sofa beneath the glorious mountains. Hacienda Montezuma is the ultimate escape from daily life. This home sits just a mile-and-a-half from Old Town La Quinta's many restaurants, boutique shops, and all-ages entertainment. Visit the La Quinta Museum to learn some local history or head over to the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens for a day of family fun, just 11 miles away. If your visit coincides with the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival or the Stagecoach Festival, this rental is only six miles from the Empire Polo Grounds. THINGS TO KNOW Please note the city of La Quinta has a vacation rental ordinance requiring a minimum of one occupant to be at least 21 years old. The most bizarre part of this rental is dealing with Vacasa - the property manager. They appear to be using AI to answer text inquiries so you get incorrect and strange answers to questions. And they provide conflicting and missing information regarding check-in and check-out.

We loved the property. The management company was very responsive. There is access to hiking everywhere. My only complaint is it is a bit of drive to Palm Springs and because we took a short vacation we couldn’t explore that area as much as I would have liked. But, that’s on us! What a cute ‘lil desert home. A sweet note and treat awaited our arrival. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of bath and pool towels. The pool was perfect for our two families. There were a couple umbrellas to help with shade and can’t beat that Mountain View! As mentioned in other reviews there were a few bees that you had to be aware of but left us alone for the most part. The only bummer may have been the controller for the pool lights was missing when we got there but we were able to address it with the pool guy and he was quick to try and help. The kitchen is well stocked! We were able to cook or bbq every meal! When we had any questions or concerns (didn’t realize there were extra trash bins in back??) everyone we came in contact with was so quick to respond and very kind and professional! We definitely hope to be back! Oh and if you happen to be there in winter or spring (or if you’re an early summer riser) definitely bring your hiking shoes! There’s some great trails!

I was furious upon arrival. Said in description that cable tv was included. Owner had it canceled. Said people stream today. I am crazy about NCAAM and could not watch it. Manager Mike rallied the cause with owner and after hard arguing got it reinstalled. Happy camper. Great mgr. Absolutely love this home in all other respects. perfect location. Design eclectic and we all loved it. Pool. Will try to stay here again for longer in 26. Going to Hawaii next yr.

Great house and great location. Had a bit of an issue at check in but Monica was very helpful and helped us with the minor issue. Kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans and spices. The pool is amazing and each bedroom has their own attached bathroom.

This location was perfect for those that just want to relax and get away. Our family pulled into the garage when we arrived on Friday, and didn't get back in the car until we left on Monday. Between the great walking/jogging/biking trail and potential mountain hiking right in front of the property, the relaxing swimming pool with a great view of the mountains and just enough privacy, to the open layout of the house with comfortable furniture and 3 large TV's, we had everything we wanted for this trip. Plus, the kitchen and the BBQ worked great and they had plenty of plates, pots, pans, utensils, etc. for cooking. Plus there are plenty of stores, restaurants, and other shops within 5 miles or so, that you could easily venture out. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. The front pool area has plenty of seating and lounging area. They provided a nice bbq grill and picnic table. Yes, the walking path gets a lot of use and impedes your privacy but for us, it was basically a non issue. We enjoyed the hiking and hill climbing just out the front of the property. Going to town was quick and easy. The shared living area space is large and enough space for our group of five to spend time indoors together.

This was a great spot for our family of four. The pool was clean and the house was spacious. The bedrooms all have their own on suite bathroom which was super helpful. Kitchen is empty because of covid but there are plenty of grocery stores close by (even a Trader Joe’s!) the Mountain View was unreal. So amazing to swim next to a mountain. There’s also a really nice walking/bike path all around it. Just such a good stay. Had a very relaxing time.

We had an awesome stay and would definitely stay here again! The homes layout was perfect for 2 families with a large master in the front and 2 beds/2 baths in the back of the home. The home was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The only thing I would change in the charge for heating the jacuzzi. My mind was blown knowing you have to pay $90 per day for 3 days so $270 just to have a hot jacuzzi in the evenings. I understand it is expensive to operate but there has to be a better option than that by having it on a timer or something so people don’t take advantage of it. Other than that, highly recommend!

We loved the quietness of location. We loved all qualities of furniture and artsy decors. We liked the pool and spa even though we did not used it. We like the trail right outside of the house that stretches to 6-7 miles. We like all kitchen stuff provided. We did not like the cook top's exhausting fan did not work. Beautiful home in a beautiful neighborhood. I had a fantastic time and would certainly recommend this place. It is very quiet, calm and serene. Make sure you know where to check in before arriving in La Quinta, as it is quite a drive to get there, only to be given a code to the door. It seemed like that could’ve happened via phone or email. This is not a dig on the home owner...just a note to hopefully help a future visitor.

There’s a ping pong table and basketball hoop that we utilized as well. Palm Springs was about 40minute drive. Stores and restaurants weren’t to far away-less than 10minute drive. It offered up to date appliances and kitchen utensils. Very spacious kitchen and open concept living area. Overall, it’s a great space and we had a great time. One thing to note, we had to spend a few minutes each morning to clean bees/bugs from the pool.

The view from this house was gorgeous. There was a trail to walk or bike nearby. The pool was a perfect size, we had 6 adults and two children. We utilized everything this house had to offer, ping pong, basketball and the pool. We would love to stay here again.

House amazing!!!! 5 stars? NO 10 stars!! Quiet and peaceful place if u wish to enjoy the silence or even put ur own music loudly. House is fresh when you enter from the heat of outside. Pool was amazing!! The outside and inside touches were very nice. Information that is given comes in real handy. Beds as comfortable as they can be with so much space and easily wanting to sleep. WiFi and tv available was great as well as games. The view might be just the mountain but it was great to see that in the morning, evening, and night with the clouds colored by the sunset as you enjoy your swim in the pool. Bathrooms beyond amazing and as you get out the pool, a rinse shower on the side of the house. Would so recommend to others!!!!!!

We had a great time staying here. Kids loved the pool! They have 4 bikes there you can use, I suggest to bring a pump though, cause two bikes were deflated and we couldn’t use them. If you plan to play basketball make sure to bring your own ball. We did not see a basketball in the garage. Unfortunately the pingpong table is broken when we got there and couldn’t play with it. Other than that everything was great! Thank you!

Unfortunately we will be removing the basketball hoop to do neighbor complaints, but a new ping-pong table has been purchased and will soon be available as well. The view of the mountain was superb! The pool was so fun! (There are no lights in pool FYI in case you want to swim at night). The grill was super easy to use. The beds and showers were amazing and so relaxing. The tv was super nice to have to wind down and watch some Netflix. I’d love to come back.

The house is in a great location. We loved the views, and the nature trail next to the house was perfect. We hit a cold week so we had the pool heated which my son especially enjoyed. It was a quick easy 10 minute drive to the tennis. Can't wait to come back in the future.

Turned out to be pretty much perfect except for the twin beds in the back bedrooms that we though would be queens. Didn't really matter because only one person per room so the small beds were no big deal. Everything else was great and would certainly rent again.

Booking & Cancellation Policies

All reservations require a valid photo ID and a signed rental contract.

Short-Term Stays (28 nights or less):

• 100% Refund: Cancel within 48 hours of booking.
• 60+ Days Before Arrival: 100% refund of all charges.
• 30–59 Days Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.
• 8–29 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of all charges except the booking fee. Booking fee not refunded. 
• 7 Days or Less Before Arrival: No refund.

Long-Term Stays (29 nights or longer):

• 6+ Months Before Arrival: 100% refund.
• 91 Days–6 Months Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.
• 60–91 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of rent and other fees refunded. Booking fee not refunded. 
• 60 Days or Less Before Arrival: No refund of rent or booking fee; other fees refunded.
