We had such a wonderful Memorial Day weekend stay at Wildwood Cottage in Idyllwild! We were celebrating a dual-birthday, and it ended up being the perfect mountain escape, cozy, peaceful, charming, and surrounded by such lovely nature. The trees, fresh air, quiet setting, and even seeing deer nearby made the whole weekend feel extra special. The Casago team was fantastic from start to finish. Communication was friendly, check-in was super easy, and the stay guide made everything simple to reference. Anytime we had a question, they responded quickly and made us feel completely taken care of. I also appreciated their thoughtful holiday weekend reminders, which showed real care for both guests and the neighborhood. Overall, this was a smooth, relaxing, and genuinely memorable getaway. We left happy, grateful, and already talking about how much we enjoyed our time there. We will absolutely be staying with here again!

Our stay was very peaceful and was beautiful being surrounded by all the trees. Our cabin was very cozy for the four of us and we all agreed it was our best cabin stay yet. Beds were comfortable and we loved all the details of the house. Just a couple things to note, there were no seasonings besides a giant container of cumin, and salt and pepper. We were glad to have brought our stainless steel pots and pans as many of the kitchen items were non stick toxic teflon material. Bowls and plates were a bit dusty too. Also had to have my husband run over to the store for a can opener while i was making dinner. Overall we still enjoyed our stay and would gladly return again.

Perfect place for 4-5 people. About 1 mile from the town center. Deck was huge and spa was large enough to fit everyone. Neighbors were far away and trees dominated the surrounding landscape, which is awesome. Host responded near immediately when we needed them. Overall pretty good stay.

This place was comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for a weekend trip. My family enjoyed the board games and my kids enjoyed the TV room with the pull out bed. The outdoor space and deck were beautiful and while it can be cold in the mountains the heaters did their jobs. There is plenty of fridge space for the food and drinks you bring. The kitchen and cupboards were fully stocked with plates, cups, pots and pans and and thing else you would imagine you would need to make simple meals. We would come back here again!

the house was great! went with a group of friends and felt big enough for everyone to have their own space/own bathroom. also hot tub looking up at the trees was beautiful. just fyi when we got there it was in “vacation” mode so it wasn’t getting hotter than 80 but once we set it to standard it got to 104 and was very nice. check out at 10 does feel quite early. place is super close to town which is nice if that’s what you want but we did see a lynx in the back yard so it does still feel close to nature!

The cabin was great. Good for family’s with children. Good layout. The outdoor deck is really big and plenty of room for the kids to play. Hot tub was nice. Idyllwild is a great place to get away from the city and relax. The town has neat shops and some places to eat. The village market has everything you need for the cabin. Food, firewood, snacks. The people in Idyllwild are very nice.

Warm and cozy. Beautiful property. Lots of stairs, typical for the mountains. When I booked, I hadn’t realized that one small room and bathroom was not accessible from the main cabin. But we made it work. Party of 5; Grandparents, mom and 2 littles under 10yrs old.

Loved staying at this cottage. Has to be my favorite so far in Idyllwild This property is beautiful and had that warm woodsy feel. Loved waking up in the master bedroom and my immediate view was trees all around. Although we stayed on one of the hottest weekends, the ACs and fans helped keep us comfortable. The inside of the house was clean and kitchen was well equipped. The towels were fresh and the linens clean. Only minor complaint is that the outside needed some dusting. Spending time outdoors is one of the top reasons to book this house- the decks are beautiful and huge but the furniture was dusty and had webs. Not a deal breaker though. Will definitely be back! One more note- Wish we could bring more people. There's definitely room for more guests. That would be the only reason we'd book elsewhere.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the "cabin" as we called it. It was just the two of us for a long, relaxing weekend but would have easily accommodated at least six to eight people. (Our adult children were planning to join us for at least one night but morning sickness kept them from making the drive.) Still, it was a luxury experience having that wonderful cabin (and hot tub) to ourselves. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Except for firewood. The picture shows firewood but you will need to buy or bring your own. Otherwise, most everything worked well, especially the room heaters and the hot tub! Very comfortable and large master bedroom. Kitchen is small but has everything we needed. Deck space is fabulous and would accommodate large groups very well. The grounds are beautiful. Overall a wonderful experience--we will definitely rent this cabin again. Thank you!

Love the cabin and amenities, especially the hot tub and gas fire pit. There are a lot of stairs so be prepared to navigate those particularly the steep flight down from the parking area. We loved that the property let’s you bring your dog and the location close to town can’t be beat!

The cabin was beautiful, spacious and clean. It was the peaceful getaway we needed in a time of grief. There were nearby easy hikes. The local grocery store and restaurants were less than 5 minutes away. The hot tub was amazing! We appreciated how quick the hosts responded to our needs and questions. We will be coming back!

We loved every moment of our stay in this very well equipped cabin. The cabin is so cozy and homey we didn’t want to leave to explore as much as we thought we would. We did enjoy the little mountain town of Idyllwild and the friendly locals made us feel welcome. Music and wine at Middle Ridge Winery was not to be missed. The wine grower makes fantastic wine. We met a number of lovely local folks to enjoy the evening with. Strolling through the shops and eating at a few places in Idyllwild added to the pleasure of spending time in this historic little community. Our grandkids were thrilled to have snow for sledding, snowmen, and snowball fights! A warm fire in the fireplace and hot chocolate were just the thing to round out their adventures in the snow. The hot tub was a big hit as well. The owners thought of everything to make us feel at home in their own home away from home.

We loved the cabin! It is so picturesque and exactly what we were hoping for. Our favorite part had to be the hot tub - live that it’s even with the deck rather than elevated. Loved how pup friendly the place is, even including linens for them. The location is perfect. The price per night was a bit high for some of the more outdated amenities, but honestly it’s everything we need and we will still be bookmarking it for the future (though will try to snag it during a season where the price is dropped a bit).

This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it’s a family favorite for a few reasons- it’s super cozy and comfortable. The beds and linens are wonderful. Lots of hot water, great fireplace and blankets for snuggling. It’s also a great location with lots of room to explore off the deck and far enough out of town where you’re close but it’s super quiet. We love this home so much!

This cabin was a dream, a perfect secluded getaway but just minutes outside of town. The cabin is cozy with big outdoor deck spaces. Enjoying a cup of morning coffee or afternoon soak in the hot tub under the big pine trees brought peace and tranquility we didn't know we needed. Some things to know, if anyone in your party has a hard time with stairs, this cabin is not for you, it's quite the multi level fortress and you will be climbing stairs all throughout, including a full flight down from the road to the front door. Occupancy max is quite low at 5, for this 4 bedroom, 4 toilet cabin, perfect if you're coming up with the family but don't actually want to be near them. The 10am checkout seems early but there are no check out tasks required, which was nice. Perfect timing to sleep in, pack up, and head into town for brunch at Mama's Egg House, which we highly recommend. There are hiking trails just minutes away for all levels of hiking. The town is adorable with lots of little shops, restaurants, and places to get delicious treats. And you can't leave Idyllwild without meeting Mayor Max. The family is already planning multiple trips back to the cabin.

It was advertised as 3 bed but is really 2 bedrooms and an open den off the living room. We didn’t mind because we loved our stay. The hot tub was perfect, the back porch was amazing, and as a bonus they had some really great records and books.

Beautiful mountain home with an Adirondack vibe. Very comfortable, great decor. Comfortable beds and linens. The huge, expansive deck provides ample space to enjoy the trees, sit by the fire, hot tub, and dine al fresco. The fireplace was fantastic at night - very cozy. Kitchen is small, but functional - we ate dinners out so can't speak to cooking full meals there. Will definitely book this home again, it was just lovely, relatively private, and peaceful. One note: home is at the top of the street, addresses are a bit confusing there - just keep going to the top of hill and house is on right next to fence that is on the street.

We had a great girl's getaway weekend. We lounged all day Saturday and went into town for the Halloween festivities on Sunday. The cabin is lovely with 3 separate rooms, a fire pit, hot tub with perfect privacy. Our favorite was the entertainment center, complete with a stereo with a great selection of vinyl and a big screen TV with Amazon, Netflix, and Apple Plus. Thanks, again!
