Best little cabin to spend a weekend there. Fully comfortable and the space was very cozy. The king size bed was extra comfortable and backyard space was so peaceful and relaxing to just sit there and listen to the birds and the wildlife. It’s a huge plus that is just 5 min from Ernie Maxwell South rim hike. The hosts are also very responsive and on top of it all.

This is an absolutely wonderful vacation cabin. So much attention to detail, from the door knobs, kitchen drawer pulls, to the brass decorative hooks in the bathroom, to the tree/wood crown molding in the main bedroom. So many little details that created a cozy, welcoming home. The loft bed was comfy as was the main bedroom’s huge bed. The kitchen was perfectly appointed with everything we needed to make and heat our own meals. Having two choices of coffee makers was a lovely bonus. The carved screen door and the front door are fantastic. The wood carvings, especially the eagle in the backyard are magnificent. The Fitness/Yoga studio was perfectly equipped for a full body workout. We used it 3 times during our stay . We enjoyed our morning coffee on the expansive deck, listening to the birds and watching the little squirrels. Our dog loved the space he had for his own bed. I was able to do some studying at the cozy little table and chair with the breeze adding to the ambience. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful getaway!

Location is perfect-not too far from town and hike trails. Quiet, peaceful. Idyllwild is a hidden gem. Attended the Memorial Day service with the rest of the town and visitors. There are so many quaint shops to visit. Highly recommend Middle Ridge Winery and Ferro-great wine and the best artisan pizzas. Getting into the house was relatively easy. A fan was on in the living room and blowing upon arrival-not sure why. We cook a lot during our Airbnb stays; kitchen necessities are important. It had the essentials needed for short stay-pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates. Super pet friendly. Bed linen adequate for temperature changes-cool in the morning. We opened windows at night-special treat waking up to cool, brisk air in the am. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels for guests. Ate meals on the deck at various times of the day. Outdoor furniture a little dusty. Front yard could have used a little tidying and cleanup, but other than that, we enjoyed our stay.

Clean and well kept cabin. Rustic while offering modern amenities. Back deck is beautiful. We even spotted a Bob Cat two times back there, of course along with plenty of birds and squirrels. Location close to town while being tucked away on a quiet street. Close to a good hiking trail too. We were here in winter months but I could see this being a beautiful cabin to visit year round

The cabin was comfortable. My favorite part was the backyard; it was so peaceful. There were lots of squirrels and birds and the pine trees were beautiful. It was perfect for reading with lots of seating options outside. The yoga room in the back yard with weights and a bench was also a nice feature.The lighting indoors was dim; it could be improved with some better overhead lighting. The water pressure and flow of hot water in the shower/ tub could also be improved. We enjoyed our stay. This was our second time staying, and we plan to return.

It was a great place to spend our mother & daughter quality time over the weekend. The property is located in very quiet and safe neighborhood and it's charming, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed spending our time in the backyard talking, reading books, listening nature sounds and feeling pleasant breeze. I particularly appreciate their super soft and clean towels and bed linens. It was warm inside when we checked in, but it cooled off very quickly as soon as we opened up all the windows and doors to let the cool fresh air circulate through. Each window and door comes with screen and we didn't need to worry about any bugs comes in. Vacasa California is very professional and easy to communicate, and they are so nice to even offered to extend a late check-out time for us since we arrived very late hitting traffic on a check-in day. We would love to come back again to stay in this unit anytime in a future.

A perfect long weekend getaway! The cabin was beautiful, with a nice collection of books to read and charming decorations. It was quiet, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials. The location is convenient, just a short drive or about a 30-minute walk to the city center. As the host had noted, there’s no AC, but we managed by keeping the windows open and using the fans.

A lovely, peaceful stay in Idyllwild which is just what we were looking for. My husband and I stayed for 2 nights but we wanted to stay longer. The rustic cabin is well taken care of and we loved the cozy feel of it all. We cooked all our meals in the home during our stay; the kitchen had everything we needed to cook (including olive oil, salt, pepper and basic spices). Also, COFFEE! We brewed coffee in the drip coffeemaker every morning, coffee and filters were provided. They also had a Nespresso with a few pods, but we didn't end up using it. Great backyard but it was a little too cold for us to enjoy. We plan on returning for sure!

It snowed heavily the day we arrived. Check in was a breeze. Our place was warm and just perfect in the cold snowy March stay. We were glad to have a shovel to clear the driveway. The property was beautiful in the snow. Didnt get to use the exercise room. Everything else was as described on the site. Highly recommended.

stayed a few days at the cabin and absolutely loved it. the rooms, common space and kitchen were very clean and had useful amenities. the bathroom did have a weird smell and the shower curtains were ripped, which isn’t ideal but nonetheless, it had plenty of extra towels. the location and surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and within a 5 minute drive from town. we did have a couple problems during our stay but everyone at vacasa were so helpful and patient, especially elizabeth! i absolutely recommend staying here if possible!

We had a great time at the cabin, it is cozy and clean. It corresponded directly with the pictures online. The only thing is that it had bed bugs in the main bedroom, and one person that slept there has a very high skin sensibility to them, that's why they where detected. Other than that we had a great time.

Cute cabin in the woods only 4 minute drive from Idyllwild downtown. Big patio in the backyard and a beautiful kitchen. Has 2 beds and 1 bathroom and super dog friendly with a dog bed by the fireplace. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful experience since the start of booking, everything was so detailed and well explained. The cabin looks exactly like the photos and the views are just breath taking. From the moment you walk in you feel the warmth and coziness of the cabin. The place was super clean and has everything you need to make yourself at home. We enjoyed cooking breakfast both mornings and eating out on the deck. It was so refreshing and peaceful on the deck, by far our favorite area. Make sure to bring your own cooking oil, toothpaste and cleaning supplies like sanitizing wipes as these items are not available . There was a very small container with olive oil, but not enough to cook several meals. I am very clean so some cleaning supplies would have been nice to have to wipe down the counters, otherwise everything was wonderful. Very close to town & hikes which was convenient. We are already planning on booking again with our kids and pups next time. Thank you Vacasa for a great stay.

The cabin is clean, has really nice amenities, and it is comfortable. It is great for a couple with dogs, or those with small children. The upstairs room is best for kids because it can be a little crowded for adults due to the angled walls, and they creep up on you faster than expected. The downstairs bedroom is spacious and more suitable for adults. We didn't use the yoga room but walked around the backyard and saw it. While this cabin is great for a couple or family, but keep in mind the dining table sits 2, maybe 3 if you bring another chair and put it at the end. Our family of 4 basically took turns eating at the table. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a getaway at a nice price.

Very clean place, with an easy/professional check-in process, and good communication. The backyard is a great place to relax as you watch woodpeckers and squirrels. 2-4 people can sleep here comfortably, as long as 2 people can duck their head to sleep in the loft. The TV is slightly awful (so what, but also it's an easy fix) and I think the checkout time should be 11am rather than 10. Would love to stay here again.

Loved this house! So many fun details. We made use of the yoga space, which was divine after a long car ride. It was an especially hot weekend when we were there, but they had a portable in window a/c cranked when we arrived. The output is fine for one room, but I wouldn’t say it cools the entire house. Luckily the weather broke and we slept with all the windows open. Just something to note if you’re booking for near record breaking heat. The house is close to town and close to Ernie Maxwell trailhead. We also LOVED the books. My husband and I had wonderful philosophical conversations after reading selections from the house library. Could easily spend a month here. Have had the pleasure of spending many weekends in idyllwild and we always stay somewhere different, but we marked this cabin as a must return!

We really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms had everything we needed. The kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, glasses, coffeemaker, and Nespresso machine. The stove is vintage and works. We loved hanging out in the backyard listening to the wildlife.

We hiked for three days some fun trails around Idlewild beautiful scenery. We enjoyed walking into town for meals at the various restaurants in town. This rental is in a great location. Only a couple of minor issues like the stairs to the loft need to have some sort warning (we hung a face cloth from the stairs so that it would warn us) so that you don’t hit your head on the stairs. While not a new cabin it is kept up well .

Absolutely loved the warm welcome - as we unlocked the door, we could hear jazz music playing softly on the TV and the warm heater embrace us. I wrote that I was bringing my dog and was surprised by the dog toy/dog bed/dog linen and towel I could use! I've never had that experience before. It was a very nice cabin that is suitable up to 4 people (2 couples). I had a question about whether there were firewood to use, so I messaged Vacasa. They were responsive and gave me a call within the hour answering my question. I had worried about that, not being a direct host, but luckily, Vacasa proved to be very welcoming. (I did feel slightly worried about them being a scam when they emailed me to ask for a copy of my driver's license prior to my booked dates. Just want to put that out there.)

We had a wonderful stay at this A-frame cabin. We just got engaged and had a lot to celebrate coming out of the holidays. The cabin is well-stocked, well-maintained and very cozy (lots of great books and plenty of extra blankets). There is also a speaker/lamp on the dining table which we were able to connect to in order to play music. We enjoyed the yoga room, however it is quite chilly in there - the heat doesn’t seem to work. The kitchen is decently stocked and the stove is a super cool vintage Blue Bonnet. Our dog really seemed to enjoy staying there too, exploring the yard and getting cozy in the warm and inviting living room. They provided a dog bed which he sometimes used in place of the bed we brought for him. Overall, it was a wonderful and enchanting time. Lovely!

Vacasa made it real easy to check-in and out of our AirBnB. Their customer service was fast and efficient when I had questions/concerns. The cabin is gorgeous and totally matched the listing described. It was a great place to relax and get away from the business of the holidays. I would definitely stay here again.

My family and I spend a great time here, it's cozy, perfect size for 4 people ( 2 adults / 2 kids) , has everything that you need. Really close to the village, gifts shops, and restaurants.

Loved the location, the layout of the cabin, the great deck, and fine selection of books. Our pup loved the dog bed, complete with a coversheet.
Stayed here for a weekend to celebrate my fiancés birthday & it was perfect! A really cute cabin…clean, lots of kitchen appliances, nice touches, has everything you need & comfortable, big bed! The fire was so nice to use at night! Wish we had a dog to bring since they even had a dog bed w/ dog linens! It was such a gorgeous area, peaceful & the fall weather made it even better!

INCREDIBLE place to "idyll" some time away. Beautiful arrangement with loft that has a lovely writing space set up to overlook the living room below. Parking for two cars if you need. Amazing double-deck out back in the heart of the forest. Close to village center. I absolutely love it.

We had such a nice time on our stay! Looked exactly like the photos. From the back deck, you can see the neighbors decks, but nobody was there during our stay. It was very peaceful. It was a quick, five minute drive to town, super accessible! Our pup loved running around the backyard.

This was the perfect cabin for a weekend retreat. The location was peaceful and cozy. A short drive to the town center. The interior was inviting and we felt at home as soon as we walked in. Our dog liked the cabin as well and they even provided a dog bed. The only issue we had was with using the vintage oven. It smelt like gas when turned on so we weren’t able to use it. Other than that no other problems. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

We are already planning our next stay! We absolutely loved visiting Idllywild and staying at this home. It was cozy and had all the amenitities we needed. We traveled two pups and two adults. Plenty of space. The gym was truly magical for us to meditate and workout. It rained while we were in town so it was a really nice way to break away from the city. I’d totally recommend this home to family and friends!

Such a cute little place, the details make this place even cooler! Worked perfectly for what we wanted, a quiet getaway with our newborn and dog. The hosts were responsive and the place was probably the cleanest air bnb we’ve stayed at.

My family just spent 2 nights in Idyllwild. The property has a large outdoor deck that is perfect for that grilled meal and drink, while you are enjoying the sunset. The workout room was also a great feature and my 5 year old daughter was very excited to do some yoga with me during our stay. I would share that many cabins in the mountains do not have Air Conditioning and that is mostly the case with this property as well. (That being said, they do have a small portable AC unit in the upstairs loft.) Just keep in that in mind if you are staying during the heat of the summer it might be a little warm in the home. The beds were super comfortable and the internet is super fast. I did a speed test and was consistently getting over 280mb/sec, so you will be able to do anything if you are working remote. The kitchen had a couple of great cookbooks and you should be able to cook anything you might like. It was a great property and I hope to stay here the next time we are in Idyllwild.

This little home is perfect for a getwaway in the woods. The back patios are surrounded by trees and gray squirrels, crows and butterflies. There were almost no mosquitos. The house itself is very clean, with a 1 br + loft, TV, wifi, all the amenities. Loved it, would stay here again.

This is already our second time staying here and we will definitely be back. It’s perfect for us. Like the previous review I left, everything is as described in the listing. We prepared almost all meals at home and the kitchen had everything we needed ..including spices. We also used the exercise room in the back for our morning routines. The yoga mats were a plus. We met several neighbors and heard a lot about the history of the cabin. Everyone was very nice! At the end of the day, the double decks in the back continue to be our favorite place to spend time. We saw all kinds of birds and it’s just so peaceful! If you need to get away from it all…this is your place…but you also have access to grocery stores, restaurants, local shopping etc. We look forward to returning to this cabin.

This was the perfect little cabin for my little getaway to myself. I was obsessed with all the charming details and felt that it was even cuter in person. The bed was easily the most comfortable Airbnb bed I’ve ever stayed in. There was an issue with not being able to get the stove to light, and the staff was incredibly responsive and helpful and had someone quickly come fix it. I absolutely loved the little gym in the back and took full advantage. They had everything I needed to get a workout in. The only downside was that it was a bit dusty and there weren’t any ceiling fans. There was a box fan in the closet but it was so loud so couldn’t sleep with it. Fortunately I brought my own, so recommend doing that if you need the cool air and white noise to sleep. Would definitely come back again!

We LOVED this place and didn't want to leave. All the little touches throughout made us (and our dog) feel at home. I wouldn't have changed a thing! The bed was more comfortable than our bed at home. The couch was comfy, too. But, we spent much of our time outside on the two decks. Everything was exactly as described; but, you can't really capture the serenity of the back decks/yard in a listing. The kitchen had everything you need to prepare your own food or you can take a short drive (like around a mile) to town and enjoy restaurants like Idyllwild Pizza Company, Idyllwild Brewpub (dog friendly on the patio!), Amelia's Donuts and many more. There are lovely little shops and our favorite was Wooley's who welcomed our pup inside. Idyllwild, overall, is very dog friendly...I mean the MAYOR IS A DOG! Mayor Max. We highly recommend this place and will definitely book again...in fact, we already have.
