Dog-friendly cabin in the woods with WiFi, wood stove, and private washer/dryer

Book this cabin! It is a legit log-style cabin that makes you feel like you're stepping into the wilderness! It's charming, cozy, and welcoming. The location was easy to find and has about 3 parking spaces. The front porch has plenty of seating, and the view is incredible. We saw deer grazing in the pasture during early morning hours. First floor: the kitchen had everything we needed, including some spices, cooking utensils, etc. Stove/dishwasher was easy to operate. Plenty of dining space. Living room: lots of seating here too. There is a TV, DVDs, and wifi for Netflix/hulu, etc. Bedrooms: exactly as described. Lines were very clean and free of bugs, debris, etc. Bathooms: squeaky clean! There are 2 dog tie-outs outside, one on the side of the property and one in the front. There is no AC, but that wasn't an issue even though the average temp was 80 degrees; the cabin remained cool inside, and they provide fans, too. Overall, a great stay, and I'd recommend anyone stay here!

This property was perfect for our family. It easily accommodated 8 people, even though we only had 4. The property was clean and had all the amenities. A couple of things to note: 1) The Wifi is poor. It took a while to load video content. I don't know if it would support Zoom conference calls. 2) With no A/C (we knew it did not have A/C), we had to open the windows, which worked great, but a lot of the screens are bent. Luckily, we didn't have any issues with bugs. 3) Access to the property is by a one-way dirt road. I am glad it was not snowing or raining. There is plenty of parking on the property.

We had a great stay at the cabin. Beautiful scenery, quiet, and a good distance from the next cabin. Lots of open space. Didn’t end up taking our dog but there was a gated area where he could’ve gone in without supervision. The cabin was roomy for the 7 people who stayed the weekend. It was close to town so anything we need was only a few minutes away. Would definitely stay again.

Deer Lane Lodge was the perfect spot to get away for the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin was private in a beautiful location! We fed the stellar jays and squirts daily. We also saw some deer in the field one morning. The cabin was comfortable, clean, and relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed in a cabin in the mountains every October for 13 years. This is the BEST cabin we have stayed in. Everything was great. The location is perfect if you are looking for quiet and serene surroundings. The place was clean, well stocked and comfortable. It is quintessential cabin and we loved our stay so much we are already taking about going back.

We loved our stay at Vacasa! We’ve done the Airbnb thing for quite a few years now and sometimes it’s great and other times it’s not so much. But this stay was a dream! The rooms are massive and clear of clutter or random furnishings. Everything in the home is themed and decorated with that rustic, cabin look, which is very cozy and inviting. They had so many dishes and cookware available which made it perfect for cooking in the site and even made us think about hosting future family gatherings here. ?? We appreciate the amenities as well, they provided a sponge, dish soap, soap for the dishwasher, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup remover and even bags for feminine hygiene disposal. There were plenty of towels and blankets too. We also got laundry detergent and dryer sheets. This made it so we were able wash our clothes before leaving, meaning we could just get home, unpack and rest. Our kids loved the rooms, plushies and the tire swing. This was a family trip to remember

Very pretty cabin, felt like such a good place to relax and enjoy time with family. Outside to your right after entering the cabin there is a big boulder that does not disturb the view and actually adds to it! There’s peaceful wildlife that won’t leave you bored. It is a dirt road, and it’s somewhat narrow but everyone goes at a low speed limit so keep that in mind if you have a low vehicle or you’re a speed demon. It’s not too far from all the things you may have planned, sound a 10 minute drive max. It’s a nice spot! There is only one negative which isn’t something big, there were many ants in the shower, lots of ants due to the heat outside. However they were only located in the bottom restroom with the tub, they were easily washed away when the water was ran so quick solution to an issue.

Truly! It’s a quiet gem of a house. Off the 243 highway but very close to town. The outside was a bit more wild than we would have liked with 2 sightings of coyotes in the morning and early evening. Besides that, the house and amenities were great. Communication was great with the team when we couldn’t figure out the AC so overall a winner!

What a perfect place to stay when in Idywild. The home was beautiful and right next to an area that is protected so very peaceful. The best part is that you are only 5 minutes from the town. The home was beautiful and had a lot of room. The two downstairs bedrooms were very roomy and the upstairs was huge with a queen bed and 4 single beds. It would be a perfect place for a large family. We have been coming up here for close to 20 years now and will definitely stay in this place again if it is available.

Property was better than advertised! The upstairs loft has a queen bed plus 4 twins. My kids loved this space. Our only snafu was the pilot light going out on the water heater, but the management company had someone out to fix it within 30 minutes. Less than 5 minutes to town but you feel a world away. We'd definitely be interested in coming back.

What a cool property. We were trying to escape the noise for the Fourth of July and this was the perfect place to do it. The bathrooms were older but fully functional and the main room and the porch were awesome. We saw deer in the morning and evenings and lots of birds. It was at the end of the lane, before the road curved up to the right and it seemed like we were in the most secluded forest but we were only a 5 minute drive to the adorable town of Idyllwild. It was a great stay, even though it was hot outside, the cabin was cool due to the large trees around it.

My daughters I booked a last-minute trip for Mother’s Day weekend. This cabin was absolutely perfect. It was clean and cozy and very close to the center of town. I loved: the roomy interior, full kitchen, 7 beds (could easily fit a large family), surrounded by woods, roomy patio, easy parking, close to town, lots of extra pillows and blankets, lots of closet space, fireplace, 2 bathrooms with showers, comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a long weekend family getaway. It was perfect! The place was super clean and cozy, everything felt up to date and new. Kitchen and baths were nice, beds were comfortable. The back yard is a nice big field, perfect for playing in the snow. It doesn't look out on another cabin. And there is a tire swing!

Lovely place to stay, can’t wait to come back in the summer. The puppy had a blast being the first time in the snow and got to frolic around the backyard. The inside was comfy and gave every cabin vibe you could want. Highly recommend an all wheel drive or 4x4 vehicle during the winter season as the road to the cabin and the parking spot was a slight challenge for my 2 wheel drive truck. But that’s on me not bringing snow chains.

We stayed from June 30th to July 3rd and it was amazing. It felt great to drive back home in less than 5 minutes and shower with hot water and have a full utensil inventory! We didn’t bring cups, disposable utensils, or even plates but they had everything; it was great ????????. Property was a tiny bit dusty and rustic outside but the inside was nice and fresh in the morning, and a little warm at night. One thing I will say however is that the internet progressively became slower and slower and only one device could use the wifi at a given time. Other than that small inconvenience, we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could stay another night. Thank you vacasa

Deer Lane Lodge is located with view of meadow, wild little area with lots of deer, coyotes, squirrels and racoons. Dog friendly but be sure not to let your pup tethered or outside unwatched because the coyotes are visible in the day. We saw 4 different ones and heard the pack nightly. The home is true log cabin and has 3 bedrooms with huge loft and separate bathroom. Perfect for 2 families with kids up top. Bring what you need for cooking! Basic pots snd pans but no oil, flour, sugar, tea, and limited spices. Groceries are expensive up here so plan ahead! We stayed for a month and really enjoyed the cabin and peace and quiet with birds everywhere.

We are so delighted to have found this gorgeous log cabin in Pine Cove. It is immaculate with a well appointed kitchen, has a porch to sip coffee in the morning, and there’s a pretty meadow off the porch. Beds are comfortable, and our family of four were comfortable, but it could sleep 8 with no problem. We will be back to this cabin for sure!

This place was perfect for our family vacation! Cabin was clean and had plenty of space, since it was only 3 of us we didn’t even use the upstairs area. The location and view form the the back porch feels like you have your our own private piece of Idyllwild. Only suggestion would be to update the cookware but what’s available worked just fine. Will definitely be coming back!

Adorable accommodations! Area is remote, quiet and full of nature. We were visited by deer, blue jay's and squirrels. Would definitely stay here again. The kitchen and cleaning items could be better stocked. There were no cleaning products to do the everyday kitchen clean up. Kitchen table chair pads were very stained and should be replaced or removed. TV set up was very confusing and no instructions how to use were provided. The management team should be educated as to the amenities of this house. We called to find out if outdoor patio chairs and a Keurig coffee maker was provided. We were told NO and brought our own. Upon arrival, there were both patio chairs and a Keurig provided. Overall a wonderful place and would recommend.

We loved our stay here! Very clean, welcoming and comfortable. The kids loved the room upstairs, beds were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked and the location is perfect. So refreshing to have an option for traveling with a dog, the outdoor space for kids and animals is perfect. The check in process was smooth. The cabin was clean and very dog friendly. The only thing was I sent a couple of emails to ask questions, but did not receive any replies. Otherwise we really enjoyed ourselves and the tire swing was a nice surprise for my kids.

My kids loved this cabin. There was plenty of space for everyone. The kids were able to play outside and enjoy nature. The kitchen is great for families with small kids who eat lots of snacks. It’s close enough to town if you need to get anything or choose to go out and eat. We went to a few different spots in town and it was definitely a vibe. We really enjoys everything about our stay and plan to go back.

This was our first time renting a cabin and man did we make a good choice. It was perfect, got it for 3 nights which really comes down to 2 days because of the check in/out times but it seems they’re all like that… Kitchen was completely stocked with anything you might need, more towels and blankets that we knew what to do with but the cabin and the location was just amazing. Very nice and quiet, internet worked so the smart tv worked too, fireplace kept the whole main area nice and warm ( bring your firewood). Outdoor grill works great, the room upstairs was a very nice surprise, don’t know why they don’t have pictures of it. Not a single complaint about it, will definitely stay again but for a longer time.

The house was in a perfect location and a fabulous place for our dogs and kids to play around the house! There was a full kitchen with fantastic knives and we cooked every day and enjoyed the fireplace. The beds were super comfortable and the kids loved the main room at the top of the stairs were all of them could play and hang out together.

Four of us stayed for 2 nights. (will be longer next time. Every thing was as pictured and more. Cabin was set up with all of essentials and some things that we would not have thought of. It is very dog friendly, even had a dog food and water bowl unit, and dog covers for the furniture. The power went off due to a scheduled outage. I called Vacasa and they immediately called the power company and gave us the time power would come back on. It was not an inconvenience at all. The cabin is hooked to city water and stove is propane. We will definitely go back again. Loved it.
