Beautifully remodeled mountain home with peaceful, private setting

We really enjoyed our stay! The house is very clean and nice! Amenities were great. We came in the middle of a heat wave so we were worried about only having air in one part of the house but it was doable . It cooled down at night and the fans helped. The house was easy to find and the neighborhood was nice. Would definitely return. We love Idyllwild!

Was great place to stay . With 3 of us. Loved the quietness the scenery was so calming. Loved the grill worked great. Only thing was thought fireplace was gas so had to leave again to pick up wood. Would stay again with this company

We stayed here April 1–3 with two adults and three kids, and overall had a great experience. The home was incredibly clean—truly spotless—and even better than described in the listing. It was comfortable for our group, and the location in Idyllwild was perfect for a relaxing getaway. The only issue we ran into was during check-in. We didn’t receive the access code an hour before arrival as expected, and had to call about 20 minutes after our check-in time. Unfortunately, the phone number provided didn’t seem to connect directly to the rental company, so it took about 20–30 minutes to finally get the correct lock code. This was a bit stressful and, at the moment, even made us worry that something might be wrong with the booking. We also didn’t receive any follow-up afterward regarding the delay. That said, once we got inside, everything about the home itself was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. With a smoother check-in process and better communication, this would have been a

We had a great time at this home! The location was perfect, close to town and hiking trails. It was very clean and had all of the necessary amenities. It has a spacious deck and large backyard that we didn’t get to enjoy, but definitely plan on going back. Communication was excellent.

We had a great stay, the cabin was clean and well located for both the town and local hikes. Heating was great and very comfortable for a family of 4. We would return again if every in the area. It would be nice to have an earlier check in that 4pm, other than that no complaints! Thank you!

It was a perfect getaway for my sisters birthday! Location is perfect and close to almost everything. Only thing is the TV is slow but was accommodated for the inconvenience. Just wish the check in/out would be extended. Otherwise will recommend to friends and family!

Went up to sew with a friend for 3 nights. Plenty of comfortable space. WiFi was great. Close enough to town for meals, but had a well appointed kitchen for cooking and a nice deck outside to enjoy the fresh air and trees. Weather was a little warm, but house stayed cool until late afternoon. Fans were provided, which was thoughtful. Will Definitely go back again!

Vacasa local service must have improved greatly since we got help instantly on a weekend when I had difficulty locking up the door. A previous review made me a bit worried about Vacasa, but not issue any more. They even set up a fan for each room before we arrived which is really helpful to keep the unit cool without AC.

The location of the caben was exceptional, so peaceful and quiet, surrounded by big tall tress. The house was very clean, it had every essential we needed: from extra blankets to table games to play. We got some firewood from town, which is about 15 minutes walking distance, and we spend the evenings in front of the fire place drinking hot chocolate. The property management was very profesional and communicative. If I had to say any negative feedback it will be the check out time, 10:00 a.m. it was a bit too early for someone who likes to stay late enjoying the late nights playing board games, or just having time with the family in front of the fireplace chatting. We’ll definitely be back.

From the moment we stepped into the house, it was so inviting. The temperature was already set perfectly and the TV had a beautiful scene on it. Everything was very clean and the house was extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed to eat -in when we wanted to. Also, it was close to one of the most popular hiking areas (Devil's Slide). I would highly recommend this house

This is a great house located within walking distance to town. The house is clean, comfortable with extra blankets and towels provided. I would recommend this house for couples and families which can easily hold 6 people comfortably. I will book again for the summer.

Our stay was great! The place is remodelled and is very nice. We stayed at other cabins in Idyllwild before and the issue was that they are very old and sometimes have mice and other tiny creatures entering the house. That was not an issue here. This place is clean, has everything you might need including a grill on the deck. We will definitely return again!

Our stay at Casa Tahquitz was a great experience as first timers. The place was peaceful and refreshing. It was worth driving up the mountain and the neighboring area. The house was clean and cosy; just a bit smaller than on picture. Barbecue on the porch with the kids was awesome. We all loved it and will certainly do it again.

This is a lovely home near town but in a quiet area. It felt as if we were in the forest. We enjoyed the porch and the backyard. The house itself is simple and had everything we needed. The town is cute with lots of things to do. All in all the house had good vibes and we would return :)

We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 8). We liked the house, and the kids too. The house is very clean, in every rooms. The kitchen has everything: oil, sugar, salt and pepper of course, coffee filter, etc... Both bathrooms have travel size shampoo-conditionner-soap. The location is good, a 5 min drive from downtown Idyllwild. The nights were very peaceful and quiet. We recommand it.

Perfect size for our family of four. The cabin was clean and comfortable and close to everything. Check-in instructions were clear. Had plenty of pots and pans to make breakfast and dinners. Bonus: my daughter found two apple trees in the backyard with plenty of ripe apples. We’ll be back.

This property has a great layout with three bedrooms, two baths. The interior appears to be brand new. It's extremely clean and airy. Can't beat it's close location to Humber Park and Devil's Slide trailhead. Also super close to town.

We spent a wonderful weekend getaway in Idyllwild in January. This house was well equipped and in a great location. The one drawback was that the single bed is a bit smaller than a twin bed, almost toddler sized. Communication with owners was great. Will recommend to friends and will likely stay here on our next trip to the mountains.

We stayed at this nice little home for a long weekend with our 2 kids. The house is very close to everything in Idyllwild but in a nice quiet neighborhood. This has to be one of the cleanest places we've stayed and everything was very comfortable. There's plenty of room for everyone with the 3 bedrooms & 2 baths and a nice little yard & patio. Would definitely stay here any time!

Ah, Idyllwild Tahquitz - A great home for a girls getaway in the mountains! Overall, we had a memorable, magical trip that we would definitely do again. So many great things! (1) Location: Even though we drove, we were within walking distance of the main town. It was so convenient. We ate at 3 different places in town and shopped at several of the places. Being close was key. (2) The House: House was cute, quaint, and clean. All cooking supplies were on hand. Four of us were able to hang out in the kitchen to make dinner. (3) Shower: Never thought I would write a review about the shower, but the water pressure was nice and much needed after hiking in the sun all day. (4) The Patio: I didn't catch the patio in the pictures, but we used the patio on the side of the house to sit outside and have dinner. That was perfect. (5) Directions to home: Perfect and Lockbox was great. A few suggestions: (a) Wifi - We were not there for wifi, but we did attempt to stream a movie one night and that was slow going. We had to restart the wifi a couple of times. (b) Ants and other bugs - Bring some bug spray! This is the wilderness. If you don't want bugs in the house, you may have to kill a few ants, moths, flies, etc.

Lovely location on quiet street and plenty of space for kids to play. No washer or dryer but cabin has all new amenities, is immaculate and newly remodeled. It's a short drive to lake hemet where my family went kayaking and fishing. It was one of our best vacations!

The property was clean and very welcoming. Everything was in perfect order when we arrived. WiFi, heat, grill and full kitchen worked wonderfully. Cabin is close to town with ample hiking trails in the surrounding area. We were unable to turn on the air conditioning from the Nest thermostat, but opening windows in the evening helped cool the cabin down. Would absolutely return for another weekend!

What a great place to stay! The interior was practically all new and very clean. The kitchen was pretty well equipped with nice finishings. The microwave was not working so we called Vacasa customer service and someone at our door with a new microwave within an hour. Pretty great customer service! We would absolutely stay here again.
