Our stay was lovely. Right on the beach with a beach overlooking hot tub... just dreamy. The host, Spencer, was very responsive to questions and very kind. The property is very close to the train tracks, and near a road crossing so you can hear a loud train horn when the train approaches, esp in the back bedroom. It was a bit hard to sleep on the first night (a Saturday), but we noticed it less and less each night. Not sure if we got use to it or if there were just less trains the other nights.

Five Star location! On the sand, unobstructed views of the water and awesome sunsets!Home is clean, bedding was fresh and beds comfortable. Nice location away from the hustle and bussel in Santa Barbara, yet with close proximity to Santa Barbara as well as quaint, downtown Carpinteria. Definitely would stay here again!

Our stay was awesome. The house was exactly as described, and we were very comfortable our whole stay. We walked right out onto a beautiful beach multiple times a day, and had our own private outdoor bathroom with a really nice toilet and shower. (How often do you get to say that?). The kitchen was equipped enough for us to heat up and prepare multiple meals ourselves with no issues, and everything was very clean and organized. The hosts were great communicators, even when a few things didn't go to plan (on both sides). Very accommodating and excellent communication. We would stay again and again if the hosts would have us back. This place is amazing and at a very reasonable price. We appreciate everything, thank you.

Came here for a little birthday getaway, looking for something that was directly on the beach. This is a really nice location and it also feels very safe and secluded, there’s a gate. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Wish that there were some windows to open to hear the ocean while sleeping at night, however, there are a lot of doors that can be opened to enjoy during the day. The fireplace was really nice in this area of the beach is very relaxing, it’s only a couple steps to walk down, which was mainly why we chose this place. There’s a few areas that could use some attention with regular wear and tear however the view and everything else about the property do make up for it. The deck and hot tub were really nice!

My son and I spent the most delightful weekend at Spencer‘s beautiful beach house… instead of packing bags for the beach and loading up the car… finding a parking spot and schlepping all of your stuff down to the water, all you do is walk down your private stairs and your feet are in the ocean. Instead of going to the beach once or twice during our stay, we took several walks along the beach each day because we were right there… the house is equipped with a Sonos system that allowed our favorite music to softly play throughout the house and on the deck. The house is minutes away from downtown Summerland, which is the cutest quaintest beach town with lovely shops and restaurants. The guest room sits pretty close to the train tracks so you will feel the vibration of the sleepy train going by and sometimes hear the horn… but it’s part of the charm. Our only complaint was the window in the master bedroom was difficult to open so it might need a little oil… other than that, perfection!

I would give Spencer and Fernanda TEN stars if I could. They were WONDERFUL hosts. They were attentive, responsive and very welcoming. The instructions given for the amenities of this property were very detailed making our stay problem free and super enjoyable The property itself was INCREDIBLE. You could not ask for a better OCEAN view. We enjoyed looking out at the beach from the deck, living room, dining room, as well as the master bedroom. The hot tub was an added bonus, and was a special treat after exploring Santa Barbara all day. The house was clean, well maintained, and decorated nicely in a beach theme with very comfortable beds When we were in the mood for a walk on the Beach, it was literally TEN STEPS to the sand. The location of this beautiful house was peaceful, with very few people visiting this beach even on the weekend The location was ideal, right off the freeway, and easy to find. Santa Barbara was only 10 miles away with so much to see and do We'll be back !

Our stay at the Padaro Beach House was everything we needed. The hot tub became our favorite evening ritual—warm water, cool breeze, and the rhythmic hush of ocean waves. Mornings were quiet, filled with soft light and the gentle sound of seagulls, and each night ended with the peaceful lull of the tide. It was a calm, beautiful escape—nothing rushed, nothing loud. Just space to breathe.

Stayed at this beach house in Carpinteria, and it was awesome. Perfect location, just steps from the beach, and the house had everything we needed—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. Spencer, the host, was solid. Super responsible and helpful throughout the whole process, always available when we had questions. Made everything smooth and easy. If you’re looking for a great spot by the beach with a reliable host, this is it. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived on Thanksgiving eve and an earlier wind storm had blown the gas fireplace pilot light out. We texted that it wasn't working and someone arrived Thanksgiving morning to fix the fireplace. That says a lot!!!

The location was superb. We always had access to the beach even at high tide. The hot tub was so relaxing. The train horned about twice a day, but it did not seem very disruptive. The furnishings were comfortable and the beds were great. We would recommend it to a friend or stay here again.

Great place, some flaws, but location is outstanding. Train tracks are 50 yards away, but the beach, views, and outdoor space more than make up for the noise.

Incredible Beach Property. Accessible management. Called at 12:30 AM when we arrived and got the answers we needed. Sent repairman for washer quickly. Offered to reimburse for my receipt for laundry- have not received the reimbursement yet. Other than the washer not working the 1st day, this was a vacation in Paradise. Stunning property and views. If I ever come back to California, I would love to stay here again. Copay enough good things.

You can't beat a beach house in Carpinteria. The place was perfect for a long weekend of relaxing with our family. Easy access to walk down to the sand and extremely private since it is the last house on the block. I would highly recommend it.

Beautiful location great for family with kids to play right on the beach…safe and awesome locations.. we didn’t mind the train passing by… easy to walk to near by market and perfect stay to easily get to Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, and Montecito! Came equipped with everything you need to cook … people can certainly see you when in hot tub or while laying out .. blankets and linens could be more fresh and modernized as well as the couch and cushions for the price we paid..

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It's small (two bedrooms), but for my wife and I it was perfect. It's finished out nicely and you can't beat the view. You should be aware that the beach at Santa Barbara has tiny tar balls. The property management company provides towelettes that make it easy to remove them. We would definitely stay here again.

The house is in a wonderful location, although the train can be loud at times. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and things to cook. I wish the windows looking out to the ocean were cleaner. Overall it was a great home.

Carpets in the rooms and the sofa appear dated with many stains (kind of gross to be honest) but you can’t beat the location and privacy. We are former Carp residents and we love this beach house. This was our 2nd visit. I would definitely recommend it.

Excellent location. Comfortable house. Good indoor and outdoor space. Carpinteria is good for all basics. Beach location can’t be beat. Our only negative is that bed and toilets were too low and the house needs new linens.

This was our second time staying here and it is our family’s favorite place. The house is so well appointed and the location can’t be beat. The beach is truly magical. We spent hours gazing out at the ocean, taking walks at low tide, and watching the sunrise and sunsets.

We enjoyed our second visit to Padaro Sands and liked being right on the beach. The sounds of the ocean were very relaxing and the sunsets and sunrises beautiful. Nice layout of the house and we could see the ocean from the kitchen. Enjoyed going to Padaro Beach Grill for burgers/tacos/shakes nearby. We plan to come again.

The most relaxing setting to regroup, enjoy beach walks, surfing and incredible sunsets! We have stayed at the Morehart's on Padaro Lane in the past... this home was enjoyable- private and just enough space for party of 4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay (highway traffic/sound was a non-issue).

Lovely stay in a beautiful property! House is on the sand, and Padaro Beach is quiet and beautiful!!! Really loved Tharios (up the beach) for pizza, great dinner and salads, highly recommend. Train is super close to property, but it’s only the Surfliner and Coastliner that use it (trains at 745am, a few during the day and 935pm daily). It was not a problem for us, mostly just kind of exciting. Second bedroom is a converted office (I think), and has freeway noise. Master bedroom is magical. We loved playing with the kids in the sand, and watching them from the deck as well. Great time and nice getaway

This house is right on the beach and we loved everything about it. The Jacuzzi and the rest of the house were very clean. We enjoyed seeing dolphins and the stars at night. Kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely return as this house is closer to the ocean than the last house on Padaro Lane we stayed at.

Wow! My wife and I are still afloat after returning home from a wonderful week here! I can still hear the ocean and see the sunsets - you will have a private beach all to yourselves most evenings and mornings and what seem to be regular locals during the day. It is everything you see in the movies about California and wish to experience! We live in LA which is 70 or so miles away and we kept feeling like we had to catch a long flight to come home from paradise! The house was amazing, the hot tub was divine, the privacy was unparalleled and the experience was one in a million. My wife and I already are thinking of returning here asap! There is a small strip of restaurants and local spots about a 5 minute walk away - we picked up food at Padaro Beach Grill multiple days, Tharios the other and Garden market too - what a unique place! Yes, as other reviewers mentioned there is a train that goes by prob 4-5 times a day and it did not disturb us whatsoever, we thought it was super cool! If you are even considering renting the house, just do it! I can still taste the coffee in the morning and wine in the evening sitting on the deck staring into the ocean! ahhhhhhhhhh

We dad a great experience at Padaro sands. The location and beach access are fabulous. The kitchen is well-stocked and very usable for cooking. The fireplace is really nice. The management company is caring and responsive. Overall, I highly recommend this property and would stay there again. I have a few minor cons that I'm mentioning as an FYI so you're not surprised. None of these is significant enough to be a reason to avoid this property. (1) Super-bright sunlight fills the master first thing in the morning. This could be a plus for some, but if you don't like being up bright and early, bring an eye mask. (2) The house is quite close to the train tracks. You'll hear the train as it goes by, but it's infrequent, and does not run at times when you'd be trying to sleep. (3) Overall the house is very well appointed. Only exception are the plumbing fixtures, which are less good than you'd expect for this class of property. They do get the job done fine, but are not great compared to everything else that really is top notch.

Great property for a family of 4. Right on the beach. Home is well equipped inside (towels, kitchen utensils etc). Deck views are outstanding. Only hiccup was the cleanliness of the hot tub but the property manager communicated very quickly and tried to remedy it asap. We are former Carp residents and we can’t wait to come back to this home again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Amazing is the best way to describe this property. It was the perfect small 2 bedroom beach home for our family. Spencer and his management team were very accessible for any questions or concerns we had. Due to being higher risk for covid they were very accommodating with our check in / out process to limit our exposure. The house has an amazing deck that was enjoyed for some phenomenal sunsets. The house came with everything that we needed to have a relaxing Thanksgiving week, and we would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Carpenteria. We look forward to hopefully coming back again soon.

The location of this place is right on the beach and you can hear the waves crashing from inside the house. Has to 2 great patios which is nice to mix it up at night and go sit by the fire. Whether you walk or jog the beach the sand is soft and clean. You can walk to Breakfast, lunch or dinner as couple restaurants nearby and there’s some really cute boutique shops. The ocean is a great playground for a paddle boarding, boogie boarding, kayaking - whatever one may want to do. We’re trying to go back in 2022 already

We plan on returning next year we really enjoyed it. The only negative was we feel the property should supply beach chairs and an umbrella to take down to the sand. They had a couple really old uncomfortable folding chairs only, so we went and bought these items. For the price we paid we expected these items.

Loved this rental. Comfortable mattresses (just wish the master bed was the height at listing photo). Good sleeps. Cute beach-themed mugs. Quality dishwasher. Good sized washer/dryer. Great people watching over Santa Claus Beach (as you keep your social distance too!) I’ve stayed at another rental down Padaro, and this house was better. The cons: no foil or storage bags, the wrong kind of coffee filters in the house (this is dumb stuff), freeway/train noise (but I am used to this — it is par for the course for such a beautiful beach spot), bad vacuum + broom. (I can’t stand sand in the house, so I’m a nonstop tidying vacationer.) Though, per the fabulous house manager, Spencer, I was told a new vacuum was purchased. Kudos! Hope to be back in the future to enjoy this gem (and new vacuum!) soon! (I’ll bring my own coffee filters, of course)

Location!! Right on the beach, wind in your hair, sunshine on your face- fabulous week long trip. 10/10 would come back. The house was clean and comfortable and had every amenity we needed including some beach gear. We cooked or BBQ’d every night, but were able to walk to the local grill (10min) for some take out burgers. The beach sees little traffic before 8am and then some casual loungers take up space until sunset. Otherwise it’s very private and quiet. Although the house is just off the highway and train route, you will only hear the ocean out front and at night. Spencer was quick to communicate and accommodating to our check in time. We had a fabulous time and would love to come back.

Beautiful craftsmanship everywhere you look in this home. Fire place at a touch of a button. High end appliances in the kitchen , comfortable beds, lots of amenities and a gorgeous beach location made for a lovely vacation. Only thing I would change is the patio furniture it’s getting old and tattered. Property manager Kevin was quick to respond when I had a issue and Spencer helped with the booking process and both were very professional . We would love to come back!!
