Palm Springs International ShortFest

The Palm Springs International ShortFest is among North America’s largest celebrations of short-form cinema, bringing a week of globally recognized, Oscar-, BAFTA-, and Goya-qualifying films to the heart of Palm Springs. Each year, hundreds of shorts from more than 60 countries are showcased, with all films running 40 minutes or less across categories like animation, documentary, and live-action. Carefully curated into themed 90-minute programs, the lineup highlights a dynamic mix of storytelling and perspectives, often followed by engaging filmmaker Q&As.

Beyond the screenings, the ShortFest Forum offers panels, classes, and networking events, connecting attendees with filmmakers and industry insiders for insight, inspiration, and meaningful conversation.
