TRAVEL BLOGGERS, SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALISTS & ARCHITECTURE/DESIGN MAGAZINE EDITORS LIVE LIKE LOCALS AT PALM SPRINGS VACATION HOME RENTALS
Palm Springs, CA – As more than 60,000 Modernistas descended upon Palm Springs for Modernism Week – many members of the national and international press chose to spend their time in Palm Springs living like a local. Acme House Company hosted more than 18 travel bloggers, social media specialists and design magazine editors in their Palm Springs Vacation Homes. “We really enjoyed showing these media specialists what it is like to live like a local here in Palm Springs,” said John-Patrick, Branding Specialist for Acme House Company. “Staying in one of our Luxury Vacation Home Rentals is like being at home….but better. This was a great way to go for those writers who wanted to fully immerse themselves in the Palm Springs experience. “

Editors for California Homes Magazine stayed at the swanky Vista Las Palmas home named The Mod Spot. Fashion Trends Daily editor, Michelle Dalton Tyree and her team split their time between two properties: Midcentury Deluxe in the Movie Colony East neighborhood and a two bedroom Hugh Kaptur condo aptly named Downtown Deluxe, where she was the guest of designer/ owner Kevin Corn.

The Secret Agent PR team, who oversees all the social media for Modernism Week, also stayed in properties managed by Acme. The first few nights were spent at Alexander’s Blue Hawaiian, a recently remodeled Alexander that was originally the home of the iconic builder’s construction manager. Midweek, the Secret Agents moved over to Midcentury Deluxe near Ruth Hardy Park, where they were surrounded by the work of Palm Springs artists Nat Reed, Shag, and Shawn Savage. That home even features some authentic 1960s Movie Posters from Jim Cook’s Vintage Movie Poster Exhibit including a restored copy of the promo poster for Palm Springs Weekend.

Allan Torp, the thirty-something Copenhagen Dweller was also in town to cover Modernism Week for his Bungalow5 blog that focuses on the better ways to design, travel and live. He and his gal pal, Puno Dostres co-founder of Made With Map and I Love Creatives spent but one short enjoyable night at The Aperture in the Racquet Club Estates neighborhood.

While most press agents stayed in the larger hotels like The Hilton and The Saguaro, many of the writers, editors and social media tastemakers who were spending the entire week in town wanted the extra space to spread out, relax during their precious few down times, and write in the quiet and privacy of a Vacation Home Rental.
