6 Ways to Stay Cool This Summer In Palm Springs

Although Palm Springs boasts sunshine year-round, it’s particularly plentiful in the summer months, which we love! And while the temps do rise this time of year, it’s the perfect opportunity to spend the day basking in the sun and taking refreshing dips in a glistening pool (with cocktail in hand, of course!) If you’re looking for other ways to stay cool this summer in Palm Springs, here are a few of our favorite ways to chill out!

Take a Morning Hike

Start the day with an early morning hike! It’s a great way to explore the stunning desert landscape and enjoy the cooler temperatures before the afternoon heat sets in. With dozens of hiking trails, from casual strolls to more challenging treks, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Here are a few of our favorites.

Bump and Grind Trail

One of the most popular trails in Palm Springs, and for good reason, the Bump and Grind Trail is a short yet challenging trail traversing through beautiful foothills. Plan for around two hours to complete this 4-mile trail in Rancho Mirage, about a 25-minute drive from Palm Springs.

Mount San Jacinto State Park

With more than 50 miles of trails for day hiking, backpacking, and even horseback riding, Mount San Jacinto State Park is one of our favorite places to be during summer in Palm Springs. From easy trails like the Discovery Nature Trail, a flat 0.6-mile loop that’s great for children, to strenuous hikes, like the 11.6-mile loop to San Jacinto Peak, you’ll find one that suits your interests and abilities.

Hit the Spa

After some shopping and an early lunch, why not cool off in the best possible way? Treat yourself to some relaxation and rejuvenation with a trip to a luxury spa, one of our favorite things to do during summer in Palm Springs!

The Spa at Séc-he

The Spa at Séc-he is a sprawling complex offering unique treatments in a tranquil space that promotes total relaxation. From luxury massages and facials to floatation suites and cryotherapy, a day at The Space at Séc-he is an excellent way to unwind and stay cool this summer in Palm Springs!

Studio M Salon and Spa

This full-service salon and day spa offers manicures, pedicures, soothing massages, and more. Take advantage of their spa packages, enjoy a facial treatment, or opt for a new cut and color to ensure you look fabulous this summer in Palm Springs!

El Paseo Shopping District

Just a short drive away, you’ll find a unique blend of high-end and designer brands, fine jewelry, art galleries, restaurants, and more at the El Paseo Shopping District. Known as ‘The Rodeo Drive of the Desert,’ this shopping district offers an elevated shopping experience in a gorgeous setting.
