Palm Springs International ShortFest Announces New Artist in Residence Program

Palm Springs, CA (May 10, 2019)—The Palm Springs International Film Society is teaming up with Acme House Company Vacation Rentals to offer an “Artist in Residence” program to support filmmakers who have submitted their work to the 2019 Palm Springs International ShortFest.

Six budding filmmakers will be granted their own private bedroom in a shared Palm Springs  vacation home rental for up to five nights during ShortFest, June 18-24, 2019.  Qualifying applicants will also receive a stipend to offset the costs of food and ground transportation while attending the Festival.

There is no cost to apply for the “Artist in Residence” program. All submissions must be received by 10:00 PM Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Applicants must be at least 25 years of age and have already submitted their film for ShortFest consideration. Successful Applicants will be notified via email by May 18, 2019.  Selected "Artists in Residence" will be responsible for all other personal travel and Festival expenses including attendance at ShortFest screenings, programs and events.
