GORGEOUS RESTORATION OF 1950s CLASSIC
Welcome to La Joya Moderna - the Modern Jewel - where its all about relaxing in the Palm Springs sunshine. This iconic home (designed in 1959 by William Krisel, AIA for the legendary Alexander Construction Company) captures the swank and sophisticated vibe of Palm Springs yesteryear while being very "next century" at the same time. The extensive remodel respected the architectural pedigree while updating it for the way we live today --- fabulous new kitchen, spa-like baths, high-performance climate control system, hi speed internet service, five flat screen televisions, and all the amenities you expect in an estate property. La Joya Moderna is livable luxury - where the focus is on easy, care free living.

THE INTERIOR LIVING SPACES
Gorgeous in its simplicity, as Mr. Alexander intended, you'll find clean lines, an open concept floor plan, post and beam ceilings, clerestory windows and large glass sliders that let the light pour in. The living room, dining area and kitchen are all open to each other - providing enough space for your entire group to gather, relax and enjoy. From here there is easy access to the private pool yard - blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor living.

The fully stocked chef's kitchen has been carefully space planned for both individual and group meal prep. The interior dining space accommodates 8 guests and is open to the living room with its fireplace, large flat screen TV and ample seating. There is an additional gathering lounge on the other side of the house that has everything you'll need for spending quality time with your friends and family ---- a Smart Television for streaming your favorite programs, a game table, a workstation and plenty of very comfortable seating. This room opens up to the West-facing plaza - with its gorgeous sunset mountain views, firepit lounge, and lots of occasional seating.

THE SLEEPING QUARTERS
All of the bedrooms feature comfortable hotel-quality mattresses, ample storage, and flat screen televisions.The master suite has a king-sized bed, a huge walk-in closet, and a private bath with dual vanities and an oversized double rainhead shower. The annexed bonus room directly off the master serves as a great napping cabana as it leads out to the pool area. The two king guest rooms each have easy access to a full bath. Guests appreciate the 3/3.5 bedroom/bath ratio that gives everyone privacy. None of the bedrooms have to share a bath. And one of the guest rooms offers the flexible choice of being set up as a king or two twins.

THE OUTDOOR LIVING SPACES
This property captures the magic of Southern California glamour. The mountain views are simply spectacular. The poolyard itself is heavenly. So private, spacious and well-planned. The inground pool and spa is surrounded by chaise lounges, shade umbrellas, alfresco dining, a plumbed barbecue so you'll never have to worry about the tank going dry, a fire feature plus occasional seating. On the other side of the house is an additional outdoor living plaza that takes full advantage of the gorgeous sunsets over the San Jacinto Mountains. Here you will find midcentury-inspired patio furniture arranged for conversation around a second fire feature as well as reclining chaise loungers for napping or curling up with a good book.

Spectacular and secluded!

"We had an absolutely perfect stay at La Joya Moderna! Recently renovated and pretty much immaculate, it has everything you'd need: lots of space, indoors and out, beautiful amenities, privacy, and a short walk into town. We spent most of our time by the pool to be honest, mostly because it was just pretty hard to leave: perfect temperature, comfy chairs, and the hot tub is fantastic. The modern kitchen is great for cooking, and is ideal for hosting. Plenty of room for a larger group, but really nice for something more intimate as well. Can't wait to visit again!"

"I would like to provide you with some feedback on your new Regal property. Please forward this to the property owners of La Joya Moderna. First, I want to compliment Acme for tremendous service. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at one of your properties. I amazed at the prompt responses to questions or request for assistance. I had the pleasure of meeting most of your team as I am considering purchasing a home in Palm Springs and partnering with your company for short term rentals. In particular, and related to my most recent stay, I want to thank your branding person JP. When we arrived this year, we had a few logistical challenges that were promptly taken care of. I recall one of the first things J.P. said was “ We aim to not only assist you with your issue but to make it better than you would have imagined. He really came through and made this one of the best vacations we have ever had. As for the Regal, my first comment is WOW! These homeowners really hit the mark. Every day I was in the home I came across something else that was beyond my expectations. The interior design was bang on and the home was super comfortable. There isn’t a thing I would change or add to this property. Everything was impeccable, the showers, appliances, furniture, pictures on the wall, flooring, dishes, counter space, choice of tiles…..you get the point. The pool area was private and spectacular with an amazing variety of seating and lounging areas. This is how I would design a Palm Springs home if I had the time and money. I also want to add that I know that Acme has a standard when it comes to linens, bedding etc., etc.. It really shows in your properties and will keep me coming back. Again, please pass this on to the homeowners and post on your site. They need to know that they have something very special there. "
