Located just south of downtown Palm Springs, the South Lykken trail is approximately 7.3 miles long and will take you along the hillsides of the Agua Caliente Indian Reservation. The first thing to be aware of is that this trail will challenge you! There are a number of steep inclines within the first sections of the trail that will put even the most skilled hikers to the test, and there are few areas on the trail that provide shade, so make sure to dress accordingly and bring plenty of water).
But if you’re up for the challenge, you will be rewarded with an experience unlike anything else you’ll find in the entire Palm Springs area.
