Kick off the new year in Palm Springs with one of the largest all breeds dog shows in the United States, the Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show. Held in early January each year in the nearby city of Indio, you won’t want to miss the Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show during your winter vacation!
The Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show takes place annually during the first weekend of January, held on the Empire Polo grounds in Indio.
Over the course of four days (Thursday through Sunday), upwards of 8,000 visitors come to watch breed specialty showings and competitions in rally and obedience, showcasing as many as 7,000 entries from over 170 different AKC recognized dog breeds—including breeds rarely seen by the public. Top dogs compete for awards such as Group and Best in Show, as well as championship points.
General admission for the Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show is free, though onsite parking is priced at $10.00. Concessions, pet toys, and dog themed items are also available. Unfortunately, while this is an event for dog lovers, non-competition dogs are forbidden from the event.
You’ll find Empire Polo Club, the event site, at 81800 Avenue 51, Indio, CA 92201. You can also learn more information about the Palm Springs Kennel Club Dog Show by calling (323) 727-0136, emailing [email protected], or simply asking one of our Acme House Co. reservation specialists.
