Gorgeous place, amazing location...we didn't want to leave!
"We chose this location as our honeymoon destination and we are so pleased with our selection! The house is situated on a relaxing pond that is very quiet, with a nice collection of local birds that are fun to watch in the morning. Behind the pond, we enjoyed waking up to an incredible view of the mountains every day. The kitchen is spacious and full of useful amenities (large servingware, coffee maker, blender), and the living space is comfy and perfect for morning coffee, relaxing after a day exploring the local hiking trails, or playing a family game. On top of it all, the place was very, very clean. We do have to give a special mention to the master bathroom...the shower was lovely!!
In addition to the actual property, visiting the La Quinta area was really enjoyable. We enjoyed exploring the hiking trails all around the area, some delicious restaurants, and especially liked the visit up to the Santa Rosa/San Jacinto mountain (driving up the roads through the mountain are a bunch of excellent vista view stops).
It was overall an excellent first visit to La Quinta and when we go again, we'll definitely stay at this property again!"
"We had a wonderful escape from the real world during our weekend stay. The local beauty, including what is right out the back, makes you wish you didn't have to go back to work. There's always so much to see and do in the area, but we were looking for more of a quiet break for our stay and we weren't disappointed. While we enjoyed running out for dinner and did a little hiking and exploring, we really loved being able to kick back and relax on the patio.
It is a great unit, clean, comfortable and has all the comforts we were looking for. It felt more like a home away from home than a rental unit. Loved our stay!"
Great weekend getaway
"We had a wonderful weekend with friends, relaxing on the back patio when we weren't exploring the Coachella Valley. There's so much to do in the area, and it was great to be able to come back to the unit and feel like we were back at a home away from home instead of a basic hotel room. Comfortable inside and out, with a majestic view out the back. We know we'll be back!"
"What a great experience. We love PGA West but this is the first time we stayed at Mountain View Oasis. This is our new happy place. Great value. Loved the home. Would recommend highly!"
A Gem in the Desert
"We just spent 9 days at this beautiful, well appointed property. The views are spectacular overlooking the lake and the Santa Rosa mountains. It’s like your own little nature reserve. While sitting on the patio or balcony we saw big horn sheep, geese, ducks, coots and many, many birds. There is an orange tree right next to the patio and lots of citrus trees nearby. We slept with the windows open and it was cool and so peaceful. The sunrises were amazing and viewed right from the master bedroom. The house is very well appointed, especially the kitchen. The appliances are nice, the furnishings updated. We were here with friends and everyone thought the beds were very comfortable. There is lots of storage space. We’ve stayed in many vacation homes and this one was one of the best. There’s lots to do in the area and we found several really excellent restaurants (The Grill on Main, Cliffhouse, Lavendar Bistro to name a few). The farmers market in Old Town La Quinta on Sunday morning was smallish, but had a good variety of vendors and we had a great time strolling through there. We can’t wait to come back!"
