"If you are looking for a place of rest and relaxation - look no further! This has been my second time staying at The Blue Door and there are numerous reasons why I’ll keep coming back: 1) Customer Service: Excellent. Acme provides a customer service line that you can call or text to reach someone for any issues. We had no issues really but only called to see if we can get a late check-out. They are very responsive. 2) Cleanliness: The place was spotless. They have landscapers and pool attendants help manicure the outdoor garden and clean the pool on different days of the week. These folks already have access to the property and came either super early in the morning or late afternoon. They did not interrupt the vacation at all. They were quick - in and out! The pool was glistening clean. Please note that due to the nature of the dessert area of Palm Springs, you will notice little critter friends in the backyard from time to time (ie. Crickets) - they are absolutely harmless. 3) Amenities: The house is well equipped with dishes, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils/pots and pans, baking pans, and everything needed for your bartending needs. We cooked everyday/night. Thank goodness for the large scale refrigerator for all that food!! They also have plastic sets of dishware for use at the pool or the kiddos! No need to bring your Bluetooth speaker, as the house already comes with it. Towels, toilet paper, toiletries are also available. 4) Location: Blue Door is nestled in a beautiful and very friendly community with other neighboring mid-century modern houses around. We spent most of the time at the pool soaking in the sun, taking a dip from time to time, and taking in the beautiful picturesque view of the dessert mountains. It is just a short drive away from Raley’s Grocery Store and downtown. My parents took advantage of the quick drive to the local casinos. 5) Vibes: If you are looking for that mid-century modern vibe that Palm Springs is so known for... This is the place for you. The Blue Door is tastefully decorated with high-end finishes. Definitely something not to overlook! We came to Blue Door this time around with family and to celebrate my sister’s birthday. It was exactly what we needed - a little dessert oasis; fun in the sun, hanging by the pool, beautiful views and lasting memories... everything you need for a successful vacation - right there! We hope to be visiting again soon."
"We had an amazing stay at the Blue Door. The house is exactly as pictured, possibly even nicer! Extremely clean, well equipped and in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood that was perfect during these times to relax. A 5 minute drive to downtown Palm Springs, and a short walk to the Ace hotel for great coffee/food or the local Koffi coffee shop for daily coffee. Supermarkets are close by, easy access to everything. The actual location is beautiful - nestled below the mountains. We loved this place and can’t wait to return."
"This house was perfect for a fall break getaway. It’s well stocked, nicely laid out and gorgeously decorated. We loved every minute! Important to not that one master can not be accessed from the main house. It was not an issue for us but could be for a different group."
Everything - And More!
"From booking to check-out, ACME House Company staff was responsive, friendly, and professional. I’ve rented several Palm Springs vacation homes over the years and this company has been the best so far. The home exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate, well stocked, and supplies were organized. Everything was labeled which made it easy to find and put away. The home’s layout is perfect for a group get-away. It’s set up for both indoor and outdoor socializing. The wet bar was perfect, and the kitchen has tons of space. Little “extras” like small toiletries made us feel pampered and appreciated. The freezer ice maker stopped working, but ACME answered our call and sent someone immediately not only to fix it, but also with bags of ice for us. Ice maker worked after that without issue. Another huge perk at this house, the jacuzzi was included in the rental. We weren’t able to turn on the jacuzzi heat but, once again, ACME sent someone over immediately to set us up. This will be our go-to house and go-to company from now on."
"This home is well appointed with excellent amenities, each room has access to its own bathroom (one is technically the common bath) which is a great feature. Beautiful mountain view and close to many restaurants and bars, easy access to shopping. Very clean, great pool and backyard. Mother-in-law suite has separate entrance from main home. Definitely would book this again and stay longer!"
A perfect week in the desert!
"Took the family pod to the desert for a change of pandemic scenery. The house was exactly as the photos showed— impeccably decorated, sparkling clean and fully equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms, and linen closet to feel right at home. The eight of us had more than enough space to spread out, and the communal spaces were big enough for us all to sit comfortably to enjoy each other’s company. The pool was enjoyed by kids and adults alike, especially thanks to the pool noodles and rafts. We weren’t close to downtown, but that didn’t matter since we planned on staying on the property the whole time. Honestly, we had no complaints. It was perfect. "
The Blue Door
"The house was in perfect shape when we arrived. The kitchen was well equipped. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom and for the pool area. The pool area was well maintained. We soon learned to navigate from our house to nearby restaurants etc. Could not be happier and will rent from Acme next trip .
"he house is gorgeous!!! Tons of space, lots of seating areas, close to everything. I wish we would have stayed longer! The Casita, 2nd Master was tucked away, and had its own private entrance. It was nice staying in a home that was so tastefully furnished! The kitchen was a chefs delight. Sharp knives are always a plus, as was the well stocked spice rack. Highly recommend staying here!"
Perfectly Palm Springs
"We were lucky to be among the first to stay at this amazing home. The neighborhood is classic Palm Springs and the mountain views are stunning. Three of the bedroom suites open directly to the pool area and we never wanted to go inside. We highly recommend this place and are already planning a return trip."
