We know it can be hard, but it’s well worth it to leave the pool at your Acme House Company vacation rental for a few hours to explore Palm Springs’ rich history of art and design. One of the best places to take in some art during your Palm Springs vacation is the Palm Springs Art Museum, a favorite stop for art aficionados from around the world. Established in 1938, the museum features major collections of modern and contemporary art, photography, architecture, design, and Native American and Western art. Rivaling some of the country’s most well known museums, the 150,000 square foot museum boasts works from Chagall, Picasso, Warhol, and Lichtenstein alongside two outdoor sculpture gardens and a café. The museum also has branches in Palm Desert and don’t miss the Architecture & Design Center in Downtown Palm Springs. Some more good news for you - the pool at your Acme vacation home will still be there when you get back! Open Thursday through Sunday. Free admission every Thursday evening from 5-7pm.
